lovenox levels

Today I had my homocysteine levels checked and I find out next week how they are. Two days ago I took a heavy dose of follic acid and I hope that doesn't skew the results. If my levels turn out "normal" should I still be on a prescribed vitamin like folgard as well as a LD aspirin? Is there anything else I should know before ttc again?

I have had consistent low to medium positive anticardiolipin/IGM levels over the last year (range 19-26). All other levels come back normal. I do not have a history of miscarriage, but do have a history of infertility (3 years). ALL possible fertility tests have come back normal, but I do have stage 2-3 endometriosis (removed by lap). I just underwent my first round of IVF and it was successful! First BFP ever.

are there any explnations for high hcg levels and not seeing anything above discriminatory levels? does it ever happen and have a successful outcome? can lovenox have anything to do with the subch hemm? i am now back on the lovenox and have hcg tomorrow and repeat us next week. all us were tvus.

Any one out there feel differently? I am thinking of requesting Lovenox in addition to aspirin for next round. Any benefits or harm? How do you all feel? Thanks!

The only thing that came back was being compound heterozygous for MTHFR mutations, but with normal homocysteine levels. Other than that, nothing else. My last pregnancy I took extra folic acid, B vitamins, and baby aspirin for good emasure. Now I have gotten a surprise BFP and my doc is talking about Lovenox (low dose). Maternal fetal medicine says NO WAY its too risky without having a diagnosed blood clotting disorder, but my OB and RE are willing to put me on it.

I was recently diagnosed with a Pulmonary Embolism after being rushed into L&D unable to breathe. I was prescribed Lovenox by injection twice daily. Hi! Synthroid is safe during pregnancy, but honestly, it may be overkill in your case. With thyroid values in the normal range, you have neither hyper nor hypo thyroidism, although you doctor would be treating hypothyroidism. One possibility it to recheck the levels in a few weeks (including a TSH --that tells you how hard your body is working to get your thyroid to produce hormone). If your levels are dropping, then start meds, if your levels improve, then don't.

Anyone taking Lovenox? Im 9 weeks and between the lovenox and the prenat vit I feel groggy all the time..just wondering if lovenox makes you feel bad..

I was put on Lovenox and a baby aspirin 2 weeks prior to miscarrying. The Doctor seems to think that when we get pregnant again that I can get on Lovenox and baby aspirin when i'm 7 weeks pregnant and that the pregnancy will be a healthy succuessful one. I'm just wondering has anyone else had a successful pregnancy taking Lovenox? Just really nervous and have alot of questions now. Should I go ahead and take the baby aspirin now or wait? The Doctor says we can try again in October.

I was put on Lovenox after my pulmonary embolisms. The two tests they did for the Lupus Anticoagulants were only 3 weeks apart. They have retested me a dozen or more times since then, and the tests have all been negative. It was explained to me that you have to have two positive test that have been done more than six weeks apart to meet criteria for diagnosis. Just before my mini strokes in August, I had an anticoagulant work up. I had been on Pradaxa rather than the Lovenox for the past year.

I had an ablation last week and am doing well, but am very beat up (low energy, black and blue, sore throat from TEE and polka dot bruises from Lovenox). My question is how long a time period is it usual to be on Lovenox? My doctor has said a full month. From my research, other than pregnant women, for all other conditions it says 2 weeks or less. I can't take coumadin due to a severe reaction to it.

I get weekly draws because my levels are so labile. When I am fighting an infection, my levels get out of whack....my INR's have been as high as 9! Anytime I am coming down with something, I know to get my levels checked because they climb so high. I understand your fear about getting a stroke or hemmorhaging. t think of a clot. Anyway, I am resting comfortably in the hospital, started on Coumadin and having to do lovenox injections until my clotting is stable. For once I would be much happier if this was due to my MS. Doctor says I isn't go home tomorrow, but could be longer. We'll see.... I will be scarce for a while.

The last time I had Lovenox was one year ago and I was at 2.6 when I started the Lovenox. At that time I quit taking coumadin until after the procedure. The day after the procedure, I started up on coumadin and continued to taking the Lovenox until I was therapeutic again (between 2-3 INR). You stated that you were worried about the AFib. I assume you were referring to AFib while you are off coumadin and on Lovenox. I wouldn't worry about that.

1) Have you ever heard of lovenox injections to prevent further clots in stents and 2) what are the risks from lovenox to her relatively healthy kidneys (after 30+ yrs of diabetes)? Thank you for your good advice. You were the only Dr. who said E.R.

Anyone on Lovenox... Will the burning ever go away? Any advice of where to do the injections. My love handles are so soar and its only been a week.

So I'm going on a daily dose of Lovenox, and I have to have hydroxyprogesterone weekly. I'm getting nervous not so much for me but my fiancé. He takes great care of me and idk if it's hormones but now with baby #2 being a girl it's a risk I may genetically passed or will pass my high blot clot risk to her. What if she has miscarriage problems or risks having going into labor early. I worry about my son too- I just found this information out today.

I am 22 and I have had three miscarriages in the past year. I've never gotten past 6 weeks. My doctor did a batch of bloodwork on me, as well as shooting dye into my uterus and tubes. Everything in my blood work came back fine, except I have MTHFR, which is a blood clotting disorder. We finally feel ready to try again. My doctor gave me a prescription for Lovenox 40mgs once a day. Plus I'm on Folic Acid. Has anyone taken this and had a sucess story?

Hi girls. I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on Lovenox? My RE is putting me on it with this next positive pregnancy. We just ran another series of blood tests and one came back positive for blood clotting. He said this particular type of clot would is associated with second or third trimester losses, whereas all four of my mc have been around five weeks. But he said it is reason enough to do Lovenox. I don't know how long I would have to take it.

I really had to push very hard for the needle to go in then it stopped about a third of the way and I had to jam it in the rest of the way. does this sound right? I have plenty of fat so it's not as if I got held up on muscle or anything.

Has anybody used the blood thinner lovenox? My doctor put me on it for the whole pregnancy. I just forbid out I was carrying 4 days ago. I'm very nervous because I've had 3 miscarriages before this.

My last cycle was a BFP but I miscarried at 8 1/2 weeks (no fetal pole, no heart beat). I have a DVT (recurring blood clot) in my left leg and am sometimes placed on Lovenox to help thin my blood. When I am taking aspirin, I don't have to take the Lovenox...Good luck to you!
