Avatar f tn In general, lisinopril should not be taken with potassium supplements or diuretics that conserve potassium [for example, hydrochlorothiazide/triamterene (Dyazide)], since blood potassium levels may rise to dangerous levels. PREGNANCY: Lisinopril should not be taken during pregnancy because fetuses and neonates have died when lisinopril was administered during pregnancy. NURSING MOTHERS: It is not known whether lisinopril is excreted in breast milk.
Avatar m tn Personally I don't think the interactions are really a problem but Lisinopril + Lyrica can be reevaluated with your doctor and I would recommend he don't hesitate to call the pharmacist to find the appropriate medication to replace lisinopril that would not interact with Lyrica.
Avatar f tn Other medications are metformin 500mg twice daily, Lisinopril 40mg(morning), Trazodone 50. Recently I take tadalafil 10mg and my blood sugar goes very low. I also tried 2.5mg daily at night, again my blood sugar goes very low. I wear a freestyle libre patch. What medications are interacts with tadalafil? Is Viagra will be safe for me?
Avatar n tn com on their interactions checker and between the two there were no interactions found, However, there are interactions with other medications. You should look at that site, it gives a lot of good information about all kinds of medication, like your second medication Norvasc shouldn't be taken with grapefruit. Hope that helps.
961503 tn?1247059639 I have been prescribed Simvastatin 40 MG and Lisinopril 10 MG for high cholesterol and high blood pressure (1 pill each every day) - I'm on my 2nd day of Simvastatin and will be taking Lisinopril on thursday. My doctor wanted me to not start them both at the same time so that I can see, if any, side effects Sim will have - and once I start the Lisinopril, I can see what different, if any, side effects both pills could have.
Avatar f tn My list is Lisinopril 40 mg, Amlodipine 10 mg, Clonidine .1 mg, labetalol 300 mg. All once a day except for my Clonidine which is twice a day. I have an erectile dysfunction issue that I would like to correct. Is there any medications I could take that will not kill me that will go along with what I take everyday?
Avatar n tn It certainly sounds like drug interactions. You should discuss this with your doctor, making sure he/she has a complete list of you medications.
Avatar m tn d like to avoid possible interactions when we choose a multivitamin. She has also had triple bypass surgery and has some high blood pressure but is otherwise in very good shape and very active. I already know that high amounts of certain supplements like vitamin K and iron should be avoided when taking blood thinners but what other vitamins or minerals should be avoided?
Avatar f tn She switched me to 100mg ER Metoprolol to take in the morning and 20mg lisinopril for the night. I had to take my bp every day and went back every week. Every week it would be high at the dr Office and she would increase the lisinopril. Mind you, I didn't take prescription anything prior to this except maybe an antibiotic when needed. Now I'm on these high doses of bp meds. Initially I thought well I'll get used to them, there's always an adjustment time.
Avatar m tn Likewise, I was never told to avoid taking anything with my levothyroxine besides food and calcium/multivitamin (basically just not at the same time, but I could still have a multivitamin). I've also never had a problem taking benedryl (besides that it knocks me out) or any other drug with my hypothyroid meds. If you're on a drug for your hypothyroidism, there is this nifty tool at the top- under drugs, you can find drug interaction.
Avatar n tn I AGREE i want a way to track my Blood pressure pills and vitamins i take daily as i make ajustments to them to see on over all monthly affect would be VERY good.... something like the food tracker but vitamin based ....
Avatar m tn It's not that you can't take aspirin at all. All ssris have a warning about interactions with all NSAIDS, not just aspirin. You just have to be aware of bruising that might indicate excessive bleeding. So you have to be careful. Don't know about food interactions, I wasn't told of any. Lots of weight gain possible, however, so watch the fat and sugar and be careful with diet. I think you're thinking more of the MAO inhibitors, they have lots of food contraditions.
Avatar m tn I have been taking 40 mg lisinopril for 3 months. It works on my BP but I am coughing and my nose is running.
Avatar n tn I talked with my pharmacist and she said that there would be no problem. So I started taking it, but I should have found out the inert ingredients. The lame pharmaceutical company puts lactose monohydrate in Topomax (I cannot have any caisen/dairy products) and it aggravated my asthma and made me very congested. I get so mad that the pharm companies use ingredients that are in the list of top 10 food allergies.
708731 tn?1229049180 be sure to take your thyroid meds by it self 1hr before food first thing in the am is best! I would wait at least 3 hrs before taking the others.
Avatar n tn I am very wary of taking a tricyclic because of what I have read about, their side-effects profile and so on. I am pre-hypertensive, and take 40mg of lisinopril daily, as well as 50mg of tenormin for anxiety. I have been on the imipramine for 2 days now and have experienced no discernible side effects. Other than the side effects, is there anything else that makes tricyclics less desirable than SSRIs?

Avatar f tn IT IS VERY IMPORTANT to keep doctor in the process as it could be disastrous with possible medical interactions or even food interactions such as grape fruit.
Avatar n tn (Experience talking here). Before taking any new medication, it is so important to check interactions with other meds, food and alcohol (which can be found in cough syrups!) I'm allergic to Morphine and there were Morphine dirivitives in one pain medicine that got past the doctor AND the pharmacist, so you really need to trust your gut. If you're questioning it...that's your gut talking.
Avatar f tn m seeing a psychiatrist next week in order to be evaluated for medication. While I look forward to getting some meds that will help me with my inability to eat solid food to a large degree (and yes, I am in long-time therapy already and also dealing with my MD), I'm anxious about the new doc and the process. I realize that everyone has their own experience in obtaining meds, but am hoping to find out how the experiences were for others so that I can have a clue as to what to expect.
Avatar m tn Further he said my meds were BS and placed me on coreg, lisinopril, continued lipitor, plavix, zetia, asprin, stair stepping lisinopril and coreg up to max doses each week, going higher after blood work to check potassium and creatinine levels. New cardiologist wants me to workout and said there is no enlargement of heart and that we need to focus on making heart stronger with excersice and med therapy. He recommended ICD implant for defibulator and that was done2/2/2011.
