lamictal and zoloft together

Seemed like I stayed up forever last night ( took my 1st dose last night) Also is it okay to take my zoloft and lactimal together?? Thank you for any input.

My question is, will Lamictal help with the hyper state that Zoloft put me in (racing thoughts) and how long does it take. I have finished my first week and feel the same, except my jumping leg has subsided (probably from discontinuing the Zoloft). It seems Lamictal is good for depression, but I am afraid it will have the same effect Zoloft did on me. P.S.

I am currently taking Zoloft and Lamictal (and Trazadone for sleep at night), but I'm feeling like the only way out of the bind I am in is to actually *be* a little manic. (I haven't had a manic episode in a long time - actually, I was only ever hypomanic.) I have had a hopeless feeling and I don't actually think it's depression - I think it's real, and I am wondering about the potential to get *more* depressed if I go off Lamictal, or if it shouldn't matter.

I take Lamictal and zoloft together. I recently had to take a drug test and I tested positive for pcp. Do you think one of the drugs or two of the drugs together could have made me test positive for PCP. I don't take any other drugs, including recreational drugs, at this time.

I take Wellbutrin, Lamictal, and will be resuming Zoloft soon.

I have to agree with greenlydia - it would be best to talk to a pharmacist about the interactions. Both Klonopin and Ativan are benzodiazepines, which, I'm sure, you know, but Klonopin is a longer acting one than Ativan, meaning it will take longer before it starts acting. If I were you, I'd ask your psych doc as many questions as possible regarding meds. My mother suffers from bipolar and is on Lamictal, Paxil and Xanax as needed.

Is this likely a symptom of either the hypomanic episode or the lexapro use? Since, has switched back to low-dose Zoloft and low-dose Lamictal for mood stabilization, and is doing very well. Supposed "possible emergence of bi-polar disorder" has been re-diagnosed as drug-emergent hypomanic episode. Any insight appreciated. s making me absolutely miserable and I feel like I am going insane. I have seen a doctor who has prescribed me Latuda and Lamictal. I started out taking Zoloft but it made me much more manic which is how the bi polar diagnosis was made. In addition to the racing thoughts, extreme anxiety I am also severely depressed to the point I am not functioning well. Before the Latuda I was on Zyprexa which made me suicidal. My question is could the Latuda be contributing to the racing thoughts?

I wish your daughter well, I too am on Keppra 375mg twice daily and have started lamictal 50mg per day. I am also very irritable and tired. My doc wants to wean me off Keppra and slowly increase my lamictal. Luckily I have not had a reaction this far with it but its only been two weeks. He wants to switch due to the irritability from Keppra. I was taking Wellbutrin for depression but am not any longer, did feel I need it haha.

Hi, I take effexor and celexa together and zoloft is in the same class. I have heard of people takin the two together. I have takne trzodone but by itself...couldn't take it as I walked around like a Zombie. How long have you been on this cocktail? You could call your doctor and let him know your meds are not helping, call your pharmacy to find out about drug interactions.

Do your own research, but apparently you can take both together. I have taken Wellbutrin and my husband does for bipolar (him) and we did not gain wt. on it. It just did not work for me, so I switched to Lexapro. It helped me in less than a week. I have been on it for several years and actually lost wt. while on it. I was actively trying to lose wt. and had no problems doing it while taking the Lexapro.

After taking Wellbutrin 150mg 2x daily and my Zoloft 100mg together fro the first time I woke disoriented and dizzy Just was wondering if I should of started the wellbutrin one a day to get used to it.

went to his GP and got zoloft. after 2 months he knows it isnt working. he just asked me today to read about lamictal and she what i could find out so here i am.i think he is feeling so bad he is ready to give it a try. is anyone taking it? what has been your experience? thank you so much.

now i go this friday..im taking the lamictal with me..if im just hypo manic and depressed this should help me..when i took lithiem it did great for me..so im the only one who knows what im going threw a pdoc these days are much, much difft then in the past 20 yrs or more..physiologist are the diagnoses..a pdoc is more into knowing the meds..i have this strong feeling hes going to put me on another benzo like klonpin witch i took them for 12 yrs prior to the xanax...

for Abilify. Right now im taking 100mgs of zoloft, and .05mgs of lorazepham. Been on those meds for 2 months now and while im not having as much panick attacks, its still there and im having trouble sleeping. Im seeing a threapist tomarrow as my Dr told me to do,cause he wants to get a second opioun on weather i should take abilify or not...Has anyone here taken that medication? What are your thoughts?

I take Lamictal, Seroquel, Zoloft and Wellbutrin. Lamictal works VERY well. I'm really pleased with the medication. Lamictal is a rashy drug - so don't be concerned if you get a rash. Chances that its the toxic rash are VERY VERY low. Only be concerned if you get a rash and a fever together. CrazyMeds website explains this all pretty well. The only side effect I get from Lamictal is the stupid "Lamictal Headache." Which can be a bother.

I have been on 200 mg Zoloft, 200 mg lamictal, wellbutrin and 3 mg Xanax daily for 3 years. before welbutrin I was on abilify and it worked very well but it was unaffordable so doc changed it to welbutrin , which I never thought worked. I started feeling down and anxious and asked the dr to change me back to abilify since I had new ins that will cover it . Instead she weaned me off the Zoloft in only 9 days with instructions to start pristiq 50 mg daily after the nine days.

Bipolar is a disorder that requires constant changing of medications and/or monitoring. So I see doctors fairly often for it. I was first started on lamictal. I was already on zoloft. I also have an antianxiety medication to help with the mania and to help me to relax. I take it every day. The problem that I am having now is when the mood stablizer was taken away (due to intolerance to the medication), I have not been sleeping. I took ambien in the past, but I hallucinated with it.

Depression and mood swings unbearable. Started back on Lamictal. At 75mg, doc wants 100mg. Also added Wellbutrin XL150 and still on Zoloft 100mg. Helps a bit, but depression and anxiety continue. i started taking zoloft 100 mg 2 times a day and xanax 1 mg 3 times a day and its making me black to the point i stole something and did not come out of it till i was sitting in a holding sell in hand cuffs what does this mean ?

I have medication and eating concerns. I've gained 10 pounds in 3 months, eating candy bars and Ben and Jerry's icecream every night. I also have high cholesterol and triglycerides. I was stress eating, because I moved across country to a new state. I'm trying to break the habit and become a vegan. But, I ate a pint of Ben and Jerry's again tonight. My dad, uncle and aunt are now all vegans. They are suggesting this as an option for me. I want to try it.

Does anyone have any experience of planning a pregnancy having had episodes of bipolar disorder? I have met people who realised they had the illness after they had given birth and they said that was the reason they had only had one child - i.e they wouldn't knowingly take the risk of relapse associated with pregnancy and childbirth.

I've been taking lamictal for years and I suddenly got really bad migraines so I went down 25mg. my psychiatrist and physician is suggesting I take depakote with it. this is all new to me and decreasing lamictal has made me a lot more anxious.... if anyone has had any experience with the two together I would greatly appreciate any thoughts ideas or opinions.
