Also, magnesium is important. I would get checked out for a heart attack but it sounds likes like severe potassium deficiency. If you're on a diuretic, you definitely need to supplement with Klor-Con.

I had the two issues conflated in my mind once before, too, and I think for me it happened because of knowing that fludrocortisone poses the potential side effect of hypokalemia and my brain short-circuiting on the salt-loading being irrespective of that. Yeah I was told to stay away from salt and I was given the Lasix years ago with Klor-con as my potassium supplement. My doctor retired and this newer doctor that I have now, gave me the Lasix but wouldn't give me the Klor-con because he said my blood work doesn't show that I'm deficient from potassium. I told him that I didn't want it because I'm deficient, I told him that it forced me to drink more water and thereby let the Lasix work better.

I'm a 30 yr old male suffering from a pulmonary embolism which was found a week ago. It started with afib which they say caused the blood clots. I've been put on klor-con 10meq(3 a day), Warafarin 2.5mg(1x a day), bystolic 2.5mg(1x a day), xanax .25mg(1every 6 hrs). My symptoms started about 5 hours before my afib. first symptom was a sudden numbness in my upper body with disorientation that lasted 20 minutes and then I felt tired.

r off it it stays in the body form day one til for ever but it has a lot of side effects you need to check in to them plz this is a warrning is EVIL and con cuz a lot of pain in the long run i kno cuz i was on it for five years and i'm not able to do a lot of thing now cuz of it

What may work wonders with no side effects for you will cause horrible side effects in another person and not work for them at all. Your options are really any mood stabilizer out of ones you haven't tried yet, provided they don't cause drug interactions or anything else of that nature.
