I am a government contractor working in Kuwait, before coming here I had had about 3 years of moderate to sever lower back pain. For the past 1 1/2 yrs prior to coming here I was prescribed all sorts of meds to try to help me manage my pain accordingly, so that I could proceed with work and continue doing what I needed to do. Finally, the doctor did prescribe me Hydrocodone 7.5mg and this seemed to help the best.
I take (2) 500mg of metformin at breakfast and supper. I also take powder welchol at supper. I would like to take my 1000mg of Januvia at bedtime to help lower my morning blood sugar readings that usually run in the 150's to 160, Any cons to taking the Januvia without food at bedtime?
My Mom is having type-2 diabetes , her pre-lunch blood suger level is 178 & post-lunch 275. She is having join pain in legs due to which she feels trouble in walking & cannot stand for longer time. Her age is 63. Doctor has increase the medicine intake but that doesn't help to reduce join pain she is having in legs. Any suggestion would be appreciable. Thanks in advance.
Been on januvia for a week. Blood sugar is not going below 120 ...and as high as 250.

I take daily Glucophage 500 x 2, Januvia 100, Actos 30 (newly prescribed), Lisinopril 40, Amlodopine 10 (newly prescribed), and HCTZ 25. What do you think is the cause of my pain? Thanks.

I have been on Metformin, Januvia and Glimeperide for a few years. They are not controlling my diabetes. She wanted me to try Victoza and give up the Januvia. I got over fear of giving myself the shot, but on the 3rd day I began to get sick. On the 4th and 5th days I couldn't even go to work. Changed shot to before bed instead of morning and it made no difference. After a little over a week I stopped it. Lost 5 lbs cause I couldn't eat anything.
What does this sound like, and what can I do about it? I am a Type 2 Diabetic, and take Metformin, Januvia, and Zoloft for anxiety.

I live in Kuwait. I had sex with my exgirlfriend, which is filipina. I caught clamydia from her. This happened August 2008. I have white tongue, but Ive had that before and it wasn't hiv. I am diabetic with 136/166 respectively fasting and PP. I am on medication like Amryl M2 forte, Januvia 50 pre breakfast and Cetrapin XR 500 post dinner. Storevas 10 and cardace 2.5 post dinner. I have been given Nexovas 10 in the morning too. My BP is 120/80 as per latest report. I am from the army Retd and 49 years. My weight is 87 and is on the higher side with hieght at 176. The pain is in both feet and ankles. I take five neurontin and a januvia every day because of postprandial high glucose numbers. I've had peripheral neuropathy and diabetes 2 for about 7 years now. I see a neurologist, endocrynologist, podiatrist and my primary doctor and so far no real answers.
Hi Driven, you need to go through them and see for your self about the side effects, but there a lot of drugs out that cause ED as side effects, if yoiu dont now have your drug data sheets anymore just google them.
