Hello~I am so sorry you are going through this. 13 years is a long time. Has your doctor done any blood work? Have you seen an allergist or dermatologist, you probably need a more specialized physician than just a GP.

Itchy skin that isn't accompanied by other obvious skin changes, such as a rash, is most often caused by dry skin (xerosis). Dry skin usually results from environmental factors that you can wholly or partially control. These include hot or cold weather with low humidity levels, long-term use of air conditioning or central heating, and washing or bathing too much.

Hey guys, for th past 5 or so days I have had itching down the side of my penis, and what seems to look like tissue paper around the base of the penile head and under the skin, I'm quite certain this isn't a STD, but would like to know some sort of feedback before I see a GP.
Also since then I have had itchy skin all over (not on the bumps on my arms. Mostly around the face.) I was thinking maybe I have dry skin? I have been using lotion a lot more lately, and have washed all my clothes and bed sheets. My mom checked my head for lice (maybe I picked something up at the renaissance fair?) and says that I don't have any (She is a nurse so I trust her, so I think I have dandruff). Anybody have any idea what this could be? I'm kinda stressing out over it.

Sometimes people have allergies to other things that come in contact with other parts of the body but show up on the sensitive skin areas, like the eyelids. For example, my wife is allergic to the gloves they use at our hospital. The reaction, however showed up on her eyelids instead of her hands. As soon as she stopped using thos particular gloves, the irritation went away. Process of elimination works best when it comes to skin allergies. It could aslo by Psoriasis or Eczema.
