1428481 tn?1340593131 What if you're misdiagnosing? That's an awfully young baby to be putting anything into his eyes, especially medication you have for a different person or a different situation. Please don't give a 2-month old baby any medication stronger than diaper-rash cream without talking to his pediatrician and/or having the baby seen. I assume you know the saying "if a person has a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
Avatar f tn I am no Dr. but I believe in 3 years the Vigamox might lose it's effectiveness. If it were me, this is one area I wouldn't cut back on because Vigamox is CRITICAL for your eye health after eye procedures. You don't want to kick yourself if your eye heals with complications. I too am always tring to save money where I can, but I would do without a new pair of shoes, jeans, or something else instead...just my two cents.
Avatar f tn I saw in a previous question that Tobramycin might be substituted for Vigamox (which is MUCH cheaper). Can you suggest a cheaper substitute for Nevanac? I had asked the nurse for more samples, but she refused saying they wouldn't have enough for the other patients. Thanks!
Avatar m tn It is unusual for patients to be allergic to Vigamox but does happen on occasion. Should not have any lasting effects past a few days. If your vision is blurry, ask the doctor if your cornea is clear and doing ok.
1415174 tn?1453243103 well, the on call clinic is booked. That is San Diego for you.
1128722 tn?1263102664 The lesions range in size from a pea to a dollar with the average size being about dime sized. I am EXTREMELY tired ( which is unusual for me ). I went to the Medicentre 2 days ago and the doctor there suggested it could be pityrioses rosea. He didn't seem particularly concerned and said it would run it's course. I did some research on the internet and I discovered that an allergy to Vigamox can cause this and it's listed under the serious allergies.
Avatar f tn Anyone on earth had a similar event or know what it could be please answer I will highly appreciate and have a better thanksgiving. Also is it dangerous to take Vigamox at each 2h?
Avatar f tn Now I am scheduled for cataract surgery, and in the presurgical packet I received this weekend, there is an rx for Vigamox, even though I requested that a note about the Cipro/Vigamox problem be placed in my file. I know the fluoroquinolones are appealing to docs because they are so tremendously effective, but for people who cannot tolerate them, are there acceptable substitutes?

Avatar n tn HIV is transmitted as Lizzie Lou stated. Unprotected vaginal and anal sex Sharing works with other IV drug abusers Mother to child.
Avatar n tn Acular helps inflammation, but may slow healing so should be used with caution. Vigamox should only be used as long as it is needed. I suspect you are just in the initial stages of treatment and things will be modified carefully every week or so. That is the way I usually do it. I'm sorry, it appears you have a significant area of damage to the cornea. Make sure you are seeing a well qualified board-certified ophthalmologist and follow the instructions properly.
Avatar f tn Hello, I'm being treated for "bacterial Keratitis" on the left eye. I've had the infection for about two weeks. I waited a long time to see a doctor because I don't have insurance and I thought it was pinkey and would heal on it's own. I was wrong. I finally went at cost of $140. I was diagnosed and given vigamox (4 x day) and Tobradex. The doctor insisted I come back the next day to check my pupil after dilated. So, I paid another $140 for that exam.
Avatar m tn I used to wear contacts every day for about eight to ten hours a day and then I'd take them out at night. I did this for about eight years and never had any problems until about a year and a half ago. In November 2009, I was diagnosed with pink eye and was given vigamox. About a day later I had to go to the emergency room because I was covered in a rash and having problems breathing. After that, my eye doctor took me off the vigamox and gave me a new prescription eye drop.
Avatar n tn i have shown my condition to 3 doctyors and have taken different eye drops begining with VIGAMOX and more recently ZEDATIN and FML forte. my left eye appears smaller than the right eye, it is very red in the lower part of the eye as well as in the sides. these symptoms are present in the left eye as well but are not as severe. i also experience itching and irritation in both eyes from time to time. SHOULD I START LOTEMAX? will it be effective?
Avatar m tn You could have lost your eye from an infected corneal ulcer. Vigamox is the strongest antibiotic out there. Corneal ulcers need not be painful. Follow up with the opthalmologist of your choice and stay away from optometrists.
Avatar m tn Often after I rise in the morning my eyes burn and water. Wiping them with a tissue does a good job of relieving the discomfort, and I'm generally good for the rest of the day. My concern is that I'm going to have cataract surgery this coming Wednesday, and I know that rubbing the eyes afterward is a bad idea. I'm hoping for suggestions as to how best to relieve the discomfort and not compromise the incisions by rubbing my eyes.
362203 tn?1248810310 Ahhhh so you will need meds for hyper thyroidism probably. I do not know how those meds affect your nursing. I only know about the thyroid hormone meds for hypo. Your dr should know this though.....also maybe your babies pediatrician will know as well. Good luck and hopefully someone with hyper thyroidism will pipe in here!
Avatar f tn The guideline is 10 ul/ml. Is it safe for those without detectable antibody titers? As you know, 3 of my kids have no antibody - I have them gone through 3 shots again. Can we assume it is perfectly o.k with 3 shots at birth even w/o detectable antibody level now? I read some research but none clearly put down the antibody level.
1507909 tn?1313633804 I meant to add that motrin is safe to use at six months.
Avatar f tn I have heard as long as it is pasteurized it is okay, but i would check with your dr first about it. I know that for myself i have avoided it, but just ask your dr to be safe.
