i was on invega for 3 years at 8 mg a day and i was wondering if invega can cause you to gain weight and have blood clots in your legs

invega is time released so you cannot cut it in half or chew it. the actual tablet will make it through your digestive system in tact but all the meds will slowly seep out into your system. i am on invega. i am slowly going off it. but not soon enough. i am so sensitive to heat now, and i get the twitches and spasms and my whole body falls asleep but i can still feel pain, het and cold etc. but i can't move.

and that goes for smoking! seems you have had every test! Stick to a Psychiatrist! you have Panic/Anxiety issues , work on whats going on in your head! STOP researching your symptoms (I say this to alot of people) as your not a medial professional and this only adds to your anxiety. You had a long post, very detailed. so I really suggest the above!

is anyone out there to help me deal with withdrawals from invega 3mg...put on as a trial basis, now can't afford the medicine.. and my xanax was stolen last week.... i have none.. i don't abuse my meds.. never had this problem before.. in a bad state now for several days that keeps getting worse by the day...don't wanna look bad to my dr.. he has helped me with my ptsd...so hurt and don't understand what my head is doing.. the medicine was working.

My doctor is weaning me off invega. He has me on a lower dose 3 mg for a week. Then I discontinue it. He is hoping my other antipsychotic, seroquel xr will be enough. He raised that from 150 to 200 Mgs. Anyone have experience coming off antipsychotics?

I want to make these tests again, but because of my diagnosis of schizophrenia, they usually attribute my dizziness to anxiety or side effects. Its been on going for 3 months, but recently got better as I took less Invega. Then it got a little worse again, and I cant say if my sleeping problems is the cause.

Hello I am a 21 year old male I have been taking medicine since about 17 or 18 and been diagnosed with schizophrenia at age 19 I have been taking invega sustenna since august 2020. I stopped for a month or two then resumed up until now. I took the 156 mg most of the time then the 234 for a few months back to 156 down to 117 mg.

How does one switch from Risperdal Consta (50mg Q2wks) to Invega Sustenna??

My friend was hospitalized and put on Zyprexa, Trileptal and Invega over a period of 21 days. Now he's been released but can not afford the drugs so he hasn't taken taken any for 5 days. The invega was only given to him 6 days ago, and is a monthly injection, so the withdrawl for that hasn't started yet. invega is an antipsychotic for schizophrenia. Do you have that? And you really can't just up and quit these meds, especially Xanax -- they can have a wallop of a withdrawal. You have to stop them slowly. You say you have PTSD -- were you in the military? I ask because most drug companies have programs to help people who can't afford medication, and veterans are better treated than others in this regard.

but I have read Invega may cause thyroid issues. If this is so, is it reversible once you stop taking Invega? I'm very concerned! Please help.

I am on wellbutrin,klonopin,depakote, invega and ambien. I stopped invega due to pdoc but see him on monday. Nerves get out of control for me a lot of the time like daily. I get at the worst on the weekends when everything is winding down from my week that is stressfull. just don't think its the meds doing it to me. and why should I be differnt than I have been before I lose it and yell alot but that is me.

HEy guys Ive been on lamictal for a while now and invega and ive been doing pretty good, Id say about 70 percent of where I feel I should be. I still feel a lil sad at times but overall Im in a constructive mindset. My therapis talked about adding an anti depressent in the future if I want so im wondering which one works for yall? I dont want one with sexual side effects(negative) she recommended wellbutrin. How should I feel on this if I decide to take it?

I was on Lithium for almost 2 yrs and I can tell you it can certainly screwup your sex drive. I went from 20-30 minutes of bliss to 10 minutes of strain too. The longer you take it the less you will care if you ever have sex again. I am obsessive about sex and my dr had to take me off of it so I went to Risperdal. It was a nice alternative after the transfer period. It kept the voices from getting me nuts.

the hospital took me off prestic, seroquel and lithium and the neurologist put me on lamital for both seizures and depression. also, i am taking invega and ativan for anxiety. the reason for my seizures is because of medicine. i lost my memory, use a cane and bit my tongue badly. caution: beware of anti-depressents--they can lower your seizure threshold. thank god i am getting better.

My wife was diagnosed 4 years ago with Bi-polar disorder and has been under the care of a phsyciatrist. Twice in those years she has tested positive for hypothyroidism. Her phsychiatrist currently has her on a regimen of wellbutrin, lamictal, klonopin, lithium (recently added) & Invega (recently added). Over those 4 years she has been on just about every med there is for this disorder with no good results.

Should I stop consuming cannabis with invega sustenna? And if I don’t what are the interactions I was just told it causes sedation.

For the first while when I did a major med switch I was off for about 2-3 weeks. I know with my husband going off of invega he was tired for about a week. It should pass if not talk to your doctor, but they will also tell you to give it time.

Hi, Nathan. The reason they likely gave you the IV was for the water, not for electrolytes. The higher the volume of water in your circulatory system the more pressure. But now: stress, plus pain, can be what's making your BP too high. Your symptoms can all be from the paliperidone overdose. There's even a "black box warning" on that drug - which seem to center on cardiac and neural effects. But the post traumatic stress can be adding to some of that, as you are aware.
