invega and liver function

m a 37 yo female and have been diagnosed as schizoaffective with bipolar features, and in May was started on Invega 224 mg injectable and 12 mg oral once daily along side Topomax 10mg once daily. But since being prescribed the Invega in May I've gained significant weight (30 lbs) being the heaviest I've ever been in my life. My hair is growing in darker and coarser, and I've been battling extreme depression. Usually an active person I cant seem to motivate myself to do anything.

Hi 7 months ago i was given a drug called invega that is time released and i was instructed to cut it n half and take it wich almost killed me. This drug is known for causing arythmias by prolongation of the QT interval. I have since stoped taking the invega. I dont take any drug, not even asprin.

i was on invega for 3 years at 8 mg a day and i was wondering if invega can cause you to gain weight and have blood clots in your legs

Keep drinking and using and it will eventually give up. I had high readings and was hospitalised for liver damage but it eventually recovered after I stopped drinking. Worrying about it is a futile act, stick to your recovery plan, don’t drink or use and when the time comes have the necessary tests then deal with things as your doctor recommends.

Well, not only did my latest bloodwork show all my blood counts are good, but my liver function is now NORMAL!! Are you kidding me?? Its been a long time since that was the case. I couldnt believe it when my Dr said it. I could definitely get used to hearing that! Add to all that the fact that my side effects are minimal. The only thing I deal with on a regular basis is mild fevers. But Advil usually takes care of it.

the other 3 I cant remember but it made me feel so doped up I switched docs and and she put me on 2 celexa and zyprexa and they have worked wonderful for me. No dopey drugged feeling. Just nice stable everyday normal living. Its seems to me that alot of docs tend to overprescribe when all is need for bi polar is a good mood stabilizer and a good anti depressant I could be wrong since I am not a doc . Hello everyone. So a little backstory first. I was diagnosed with Graves disease back in 2013-2014. I was put on the methimazole + beta blocker treatment. I went into remission around 2016, when all my labs were normal. So I stopped the meds. Then, March of 2018, Graves was back with a vengeance. All the telltale signs were back, the excessive heat and heart palpitations, I went back to the doctor and back on drug treatment. This time, however, the meds doesn't work whatsoever.

I was on Risperdal for 2 years and I noticed that at the end of the day it would wear off. so my doc put me invega sustenna and my wife noticed the difference pretty quickly. I am taking Gedon too and I am very happy with the effects.

hi ,my grandaughter used to take seraquel and made her a mess well now she takes invega and has really helped her and she is adhd to and take straterra in the am and invega at night....she is going to be 9 next month...might be something you want to check into...invega is pretty new i believe ...take care ....

I had a liver function done before I started Suboxone and then again when I was half way finished with it. Suboxone is very hard on your liver.

I have early RA, just got the latest blood work back. My liver and blood count look great but my doc said my kidney function is slightly off. The creatinine is high at 1.09 and the GFR is low at 54. I was occasionally taking ibuprofen but have stopped completely now. I'm also on mtx, folic acid, norco for pain and also xanax. The doc said she wasn't too worried but she wants to watch it. As you will know Seroquel is a very calming anti psychotic, whereas Invega is quite agitating, I think by dropping the Invega you will have a lot less side effects ( fingers crossed ) You might feel quite drowsy for a few weeks because of the Seroquel but the extra 50mg he has given you isn't going to be too harsh, my doc usually increases my Seroquel by 100mg. With it being the XR version as well, you will have less drowsiness.

Hi, I just received my liver function test and am concerned. I am a social drinker who has no more than 2 glasses of wine maybe 4x a week (no hard liquor). I have an AST 46 and ALT 36. Does this indicate liver damage? My AST is 6 above the lab upper limit normal and my AST is obviously higher than ALT.

well stopping like that might be very very dangerous. the first mistake is the use of telbivudine, it is not a first line therapy since genetic barrier is too weak and resistance can arise, if you have resistance or develop it now that youstopped drug all other dugs will respond less and develop resistance soon your feelings are about myopathy which is a side common to telbivudine but has nothing to do with the liver, it is a nervous system problem.
