invega and irritability

i was on invega for 3 years at 8 mg a day and i was wondering if invega can cause you to gain weight and have blood clots in your legs

m a 37 yo female and have been diagnosed as schizoaffective with bipolar features, and in May was started on Invega 224 mg injectable and 12 mg oral once daily along side Topomax 10mg once daily. But since being prescribed the Invega in May I've gained significant weight (30 lbs) being the heaviest I've ever been in my life. My hair is growing in darker and coarser, and I've been battling extreme depression. Usually an active person I cant seem to motivate myself to do anything.

the other 3 I cant remember but it made me feel so doped up I switched docs and and she put me on 2 celexa and zyprexa and they have worked wonderful for me. No dopey drugged feeling. Just nice stable everyday normal living. Its seems to me that alot of docs tend to overprescribe when all is need for bi polar is a good mood stabilizer and a good anti depressant I could be wrong since I am not a doc . I am just a bi polar (in remission lol)who has been on alot of meds.

I was on Risperdal for 2 years and I noticed that at the end of the day it would wear off. so my doc put me invega sustenna and my wife noticed the difference pretty quickly. I am taking Gedon too and I am very happy with the effects.

Should I stop consuming cannabis with invega sustenna? And if I don’t what are the interactions I was just told it causes sedation.

As you will know Seroquel is a very calming anti psychotic, whereas Invega is quite agitating, I think by dropping the Invega you will have a lot less side effects ( fingers crossed ) You might feel quite drowsy for a few weeks because of the Seroquel but the extra 50mg he has given you isn't going to be too harsh, my doc usually increases my Seroquel by 100mg. With it being the XR version as well, you will have less drowsiness.

invega is an antipsychotic for schizophrenia. Do you have that? And you really can't just up and quit these meds, especially Xanax -- they can have a wallop of a withdrawal. You have to stop them slowly. You say you have PTSD -- were you in the military? I ask because most drug companies have programs to help people who can't afford medication, and veterans are better treated than others in this regard.

Hi 7 months ago i was given a drug called invega that is time released and i was instructed to cut it n half and take it wich almost killed me. This drug is known for causing arythmias by prolongation of the QT interval. I have since stoped taking the invega. I dont take any drug, not even asprin.

I have been having this very annoying and scary behavior for the past few days. It all started with me waking up in the middle of the night and as I was trying to fall back asleep, there were words and visions (sometimes scary) just constantly flashing in my head and racing. I don't hear anything. It's just thoughts. Ever since then, when I watch TV, I repeat in my head everything they say.

I stopped having my period when on invega and Pregnancy is not on the table already done the test. Can anyone help me?

I am on wellbutrin,klonopin,depakote, invega and ambien. I stopped invega due to pdoc but see him on monday. Nerves get out of control for me a lot of the time like daily. I get at the worst on the weekends when everything is winding down from my week that is stressfull. just don't think its the meds doing it to me. and why should I be differnt than I have been before I lose it and yell alot but that is me.

I take Invega Sustenna. While my oxygen level is normal, I seem to have reduced po2 and oxyhgb, which is indicators of poor oxygen status. A doctor said this might be felt as dizziness. I want to make these tests again, but because of my diagnosis of schizophrenia, they usually attribute my dizziness to anxiety or side effects. Its been on going for 3 months, but recently got better as I took less Invega. Then it got a little worse again, and I cant say if my sleeping problems is the cause.

along with adderall before I was given invega and after. So I believe I am possibly causing damage and being out of balance. I can’t concentrate sometimes and weight gain along with prolactin due to enlarged breast is a concern. HEy guys Ive been on lamictal for a while now and invega and ive been doing pretty good, Id say about 70 percent of where I feel I should be. I still feel a lil sad at times but overall Im in a constructive mindset. My therapis talked about adding an anti depressent in the future if I want so im wondering which one works for yall? I dont want one with sexual side effects(negative) she recommended wellbutrin. How should I feel on this if I decide to take it?

It is unlike normal or even PMS irritability. It comes on SO fast and I act before I can stop myself. I throw things, kick things, hit things. It is embarrassing and I am afraid of it happening in public. After the event, I can see how it was inappropriate and an over-reaction. I'm too old to behave like a 13 year old throwing a tantrum. I'm wondering why my bipolar disorder has evolved into this.

Irritability and grumpiness are side effects of the interferon. My husband had both. Forgetting or being irritable over irrational things could be a side effect, or it could be HE. Check with his Hepa.

Nope. Just a sign that you're pregnant. I get that way occasionally too and I'm currently overdue, which reeeaaallly helps w the irritability part. Lol.

Ok Mommys I have been extremely irritable and hormonal the last two days and I just don't feel good at all. No consistent contractions but I've heard increased irritability is sometimes a sign of labor coming soon. Anyone have experience with this?!?!

s ? if not...tell them you have the flu and you feel really bad and irritable. that you are sorry for yelling......and you will talk to them in a couple of days...i felt really irritable off and on the whole time i tapered( 10days ) and still get that way at times...one minute i'm calm..and the next min. i'm yelling...it's hard becuz sometimes it feels like my emotions are raw and i just feel really jumpy...but it will get better!

I have started to become nervous and irritable again and it is scary. I was like that for two years straight and I really don't want to do it again. I eventually got diagnosed with PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder), and later with Bipolar Disorder. The only thing that made it go away was the Risperdal they put me on. My wife was put on Invega for 7 days while she was in a psychiatric facility (6mg twice a day). She stopped taking it the minute she was released. It's been almost a month since she's had her last dosage. She now has hand tremors and is totally exhausted all the time. I know these are symptoms of the drug.. now long can she expect to have these symptoms? How long does it take for the drug to be completely out of her body?
