The soreness is over to the side in the soft part of the index finger between the first knuckle and the nail. It hurts if I type or if I press on it in anyway. It also throbs a little and feels hot. There is no detectable swelling or any sort of cyst of any type but the pain has become more bothersome over the last 24 hours. What could be causing this? Should I be worried? I wouldn't really be bothered except I am a guitarist and I don't want it to affect my playing.
The middle finger lines are thicker and blurred, and the 2 toes, 2 little toes and index finger have thicker pigmentation than other nails. I biopsed a nail with not as much pigmentation as the ones mentioned above (my ring finger nail) .It was clear , Im 16 snd i had these from childhood (dont remember when they appeared). im also darlk skinned. Is there a need for a biopsy to check the blurred and wider pigmented nail?
He had a mishap with a machine and it ended up slicing through his index finger, under the nail. The nail was ripped off and part of the upper nail bed (in the body of the finger itself) is exposed.
He put the nail back into place, however the nail bed (?) is still exposed. Should he go to a doctor and get stitches for the injury?

My index finger has chronic pain when it is exposed to cold temps. or if my circulation is lessened in that arm. It's just that finger and only at the finger nail, cuticle area. The feeling is similar to getting it smashed into something. Also, when no pain is present, if I hit it ever so slightly on something, it might as well have been smashed in a door, the feeling would be the same!
The index finger is burned on the area near the nail bed including the nail itself, the burn is isolated to the right side of the nail and finger. My question being what will a Doctor do to ease my pain and help the healing process? I am worried being a college student with no medical coverage, that they will simply ask me to keep the wound clean, and give me pain medication, things I can do myself without accruing debt.

A couple days ago I noticed small brown spots between the back of my thumb and my index finger. I thought it was dirty at first but it wouldn't wash out. I dont believe i had any cuts or openings on my finger, it was on the side of my finger not near the nail. However about 2 days later the side, top part of my right index finger (the one that was touched) has had a bruised sensation only when you touch it for the past 6 days. Is this a normal predome symtpom for herpes or would i have gotten blisters by now. The fingers looks normal but is sore. I do have a bit of anxiety over these things so could that be the problem?
I took out some gauze and used it to apply pressure to the wound with my index finger and thumb. So it was my index finger on top, then the gauze, then his cut finger, and then my thumb, if you saw it from top to bottom. His finger was bleeding profusely. Some blood may have soaked thru the gauze and come into contact with my finger, but I am not sure.
After I had sorted him out, i looked at my index finger and noticed some peeled cuticles around the nail. They did not appear to be bleeding.

i don't have any reason for treatment other than ugly hard black skin on my index finger and small pain sometimes.
Of course I could feel the vaginal fluid on my finger. I have always had this very minor wound (if I can call it that) in between my nail and the finger. Do you have numbness of the index finger along with the pain? if yes, it could be carpal tunnel syndrome as it involves index finger mainly.
Another possibility is of Raynaud’s phenomenon which is constriction of the blood vessels of the fingers and toes. But it is accompanied by skin color changes.
Apply ice compresses over the finger. You can also take OTC pain killers. They should help. Also get your blood sugar levels evaluated.
So on the day of my wedding photo-shoot which was about 4 weeks ago, my left ring finger has a hang nail skin so I picked on it and it bled for a little bit, and the same time I noticed one of the stylist for us has a fresh cut that still bleeds on his index finger.

So this is how it happened. Got *** on my index finger. From manual stimulation. After that i cleaned it with some dry wipes. Then I washed my finger and all the hand with water from a bottle. Not fizzy, just normal water for approximately 40 seconds. After that I cleaned my hand with baby wipes, aka wet wipes for about 1 minute. I didn't cleaned myself superficially, did it vigourously, even underneath my nail.
