flexibility

700000 tn?1231287536 The only problem I have is that it is kind of a bummer in that without the flexibility in my wrist, some of my basketball and martial arts activities that I participate in currently are limited. I still live a normal life as an engineer and go to the gym 5 - 6 times per week and never feel any pain except on REALLY cold days. I recently landscaped my backyard with no problems. As far as flexibility, I was barely able to do a flat handed push up 3 years ago. I am 30 years old currently.
Avatar m tn I can't inmagine having to tell my son this. I know what you mean about your son. I have a son that lived, breathed football, sport's in general. I love how Selma explain's thing's though. This is just a different journey that your son will have to take, but I also know and feel your pain of letting your son know that has dream's has changed. I know playing football would be a no no having Chairi. I wish you the best.
Avatar m tn I have flexibility issues in almost all of my joints (Knees, elbow, wrist, ankle). Coincidentally, all the joints in the right side of my body are worse. I cannot squat as the back of my feet cannot touch my butt, my hand cannot touch my shoulder, cannot do pushup as wrist will hurt a lot. I have done xrays but doctor said my xrays are fine. Went through physiotherapy but joints flexibility does not improve no matter how much i stretched.
Avatar n tn a new position, but while on your stomach try putting a pillow under your mid-section to help align your back n a more natural position and alleviate the stress of the spine flexion resulting from sleeping on your stomach. lack of sleep can cause more stress to your body and increase your pain level when your body is not well-rested enough.
Avatar f tn Thanks for replying. I'll check with my doctor's office. I'm scheduled to have 4 rounds of cytoxan and taxotere. Hopefully I'll have a pretty decent time of it!
Avatar f tn One of the most common congenital abnormalities of the human heart is a defect. It is of considerable clinical importance as it is the area for the cardiac conduction system (pathway for electrical impulses to regulate heart rate).
Avatar n tn Although it may be used as a treatment for cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma, the primary reason for taking Decadron for ovarian cancer patients is because it can help prevent an allergic reaction to chemotherapy. In some cases, it is used to increase appetite in patients who have a reduced one. It is a steroid, not chemotherapy. An ovarian cancer patient should never be encouraged to rely exclusively on Decadron as chemotherapy.
Avatar m tn I have returned to gymnastics after 3 years out and find that I get severe cramp in the arches of my feet. It seems to occur if I point my toes too hard and for long periods of time. My feet don't seem to be as flexible as they used to be as I used to have a much better toe point before. As I have to train in barefeet, I've also noticed that they can get quite cold sometimes. Can anyone help?
Avatar m tn it felt like I could not control my foot properly when walking and it would weirdly tilt to the left, as if I could not keep it straight when lifting it. At the time I didn't give it too much importance, because it was quite rare. I'm a reasonably active person, so I continued doing my normal activity: cycle to work every day, play football, run, go to the gym, do trekking. Now recently, since about 3 weeks ago, the problem got a lot worse and more frequent.

398059 tn?1447945633 Hi! I'm glad that you're back in the Land of the Living!!!! I hate that kind of fatigue. When I'm feeling that tired, I notice that I'll collapse on the weekends and stay in bed the entire time. It does help, until the next weekend rolls around . . . I'm glad you're feeling better.
Avatar f tn Low iron, or more specifically, low ferritin, is one of the most overlooked causes of low thyroid function. [1] Ferritin is the stored form of iron that is used by the cells and a better measure of available iron levels than serum iron. Iron is a component of multiple enzymes involved with cellular metabolism, so low iron means poorly functioning enzymes, and less than optimal metabolism. Those with low iron also have low T4 and even lower T3 levels.
Avatar m tn And forgive me for you must have isunderstood me, i didn't say in a week, i said as soon as possible.
1161780 tn?1266711844 Strength In Numbers I began writing about my experiences with doctors, diagnosis and this thing called heart disease in December of 2009. Since then I have had dozens of emails and comments asking for advice. I share what I know. For instance, if your doctor isn’t taking you seriously, move on! Having trouble explaining your condition to family or friends, try this.
Avatar n tn Hello, About 6 months ago I started to do some running and after the first month or so started getting pain above my knee, so I stopped. Since then the pain hasn't gone away and I'm getting desperate now as nothing seems to work. The pain is at its worst when going down stairs, steep hills, or when I put weight on it such as in a lunge or squat. It's had periods of getting better then when I think I'm going to be pain free it always gets worse.
Avatar f tn Absolutely correct, supine, an upward increment of greater than or equal to 30 bpm paired with symptoms of orthostatic intolerance meets the criterion of POTS, regardless of the absolute value of the heart rate. I highly recommend you get a tilt table test, acesew, as that can confirm the diagnosis of dysautonomia/POTS. You may need to go to a major teaching hospital to access one of these tests, if you are not already accessing your specialists through one.

649848 tn?1534633700 Ok - I guess I just don't understand this whole thing so maybe someone can help me out. As I've posted before, I was diagnosed hypo back in June and I just went to dr today for follow up to get results of recent blood work. Free T-4 was 1.3 (range: 0.8 - 1.8) TSH was 0.12 (range 0.40 - 4.50) My synthroid was cut back from 88 mcg to 75 mcg based on the TSH result I had thought Free T-3 was on the lab order, but there was no result for it, so I questioned that.
Avatar f tn It is been put to use in Africa. Great idea I think. The kids play football all day and then take the ball in at night and it becomes a light. Just thought I would throw that on just in case you may be interested to see can you find any information about it on the net. Wouldn't it be great to have toys that a kid could play with and then still have at night to light up the room for a while. The start is the football. But who knows what they will come up with next.
