Hypoglycemia and bradycardia

Common Questions and Answers about Hypoglycemia and bradycardia

hypoglycemia

Avatar f tn Sinus Arrhythmia is kinda the norm, it happens to just about everyone. Your heart speeds up a bit and slows down a bit with your breathing. It's natural and considered beneficial. I had that on my holter as-well. Everyone I talk to that ever had one had sinus arrhythmia. Sinus Rhythm is completely normal You had some rare PVCs that were classified as trigeminy (every 3rd beat), no big deal.
Avatar f tn I have those exact symptoms. Sometimes I think I'm crazy. The Dr. hadn't heard of those symptoms with Hashi's, but I've found otherwise in my research. For the collar bone pain and chest pain, they come and go. I put heat on and try to rest. I'm starting to notice a cycle of the those symptoms returning every few months around my cycle and lasting a week or two. Chart your symptoms to track them yourself and see if you find a pattern.
Avatar f tn Several years ago I went in for a bunch of testing on my heart- EKG, stress echo, event monitor for a month, and a tilt table test. I was scheduled for a sleep study next, but I moved and lost my medical insurance. I was troubled to find out recently that the 'vasodepressor syncope' I was diagnosed with is typically associated with people who pass out in relation to stress.
773755 tn?1328119777 feels like hell in the morning with aches. and overheating of muscles with no exertion. and anyway so couple minor side effects including: skin weirdness! i have an olive complexion. usually a light brownish orange all year round with moderate sun.. well get this.. it's a kind of crappy grey colour now.. whatthe??.. anyone else know of this? i know it's winter here but it has been sunny and fine. my circulation if anything has been overactive and i should at least be reddish!
Avatar f tn In some people the sinus node dysfunction may result in alternating slow and fast heart rates (bradycardia-tachycardia syndrome). The medication for high blood pressure may keep the high bp within a normal range. An underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) or overactive thyroid (hyperthyroidism) can cause low blood pressure. There can be an electroytic imbalance due to diet, etc.
Avatar m tn Other causes of dizziness and fatigue are anemia, claustrophobia, GERD, hypoglycemia or low sugar and some endocrine problems. Endocrine problems, such as an underactive thyroid (called hypothyroidism), overactive thyroid (called hyperthyroidism), adrenal insufficiency (called Addison's disease), low blood sugar levels, and in some cases, diabetes, may lead to hypotension and hence lightheadedness and an off balance feeling.
Avatar m tn Is there a correlation there and will supplemental thyroid hormone amend the condition (bradycardia)? I am still easily fatigued and ironically, have more symptoms at rest rather than when I am up and about.
Avatar f tn Hi there, I am a Latino female about to turn 40, I was recently diagnosed with Sinus Bradycardia. I am not in good shape, I haven't exercise for a year. I am not overweight and don't have any other health problems.
Avatar f tn It means you have some instances of bradycardia. How significant it is depends on what you were doing at the time and your symptoms. For example was your instance of a 30 bpm heart rate during a period of vagal stimulation? Were you using the bathroom? Sleeping? Did you just stand up after sitting in a chair for a few hours? Then youd need to know, were you symptomatic at the time? How,did you feel? This is why accurate journal entries are important.
351404 tn?1299489130 I have been diagnosed with bradycardia and atrial fibrillation and will soon be given a dual chamber permanent pacemaker. I notice that in the doctor's reply it was said that a pacemaker didn't treat AF. This has confused me since my understanding of a pacemaker is that it gives you a regular sinus heartbeat and that arrhythmias would be a thing of the past. If it doesn't treat arrhythmia, then what use is it?
1773104 tn?1314155711 Certainly hypoglycemia can trigger anxiety and panic, but rarely would it be the sole cause behind it. It is common for someone new to anxiety to do serious soul searching to try and find a logical "reason" behind the new emergence of anxiety and panic. We turn into detectives and try to find a sensible reason why it showed up (most times seemingly "out of the blue").
Avatar f tn they can do some simple tests on you to make sure your bradycardia is ok and does not need medication to control. If you are having bradycardia while exercising then the dr. would want to make sure it was not happening worse while you slept. Snd yes, low blood pressure does cause fatigue and dizziness. Good luck to you!
Avatar f tn Its difficult to answer your questions without knowing the general health, medical history, etc. Usually, aerobic exercise is benefical for the heart. A guideline for aerobic exercise is not exceed a pulse rate greater than 220-your age. You may want to reach a heart rate less than the recommended rate until you can comfortly have a heart rate of 144 without being out of breath with a 30 minute workout at least 3 times a week.
Avatar n tn well this could be the hypoglycemia, i too have it but dont often have symptoms because i eat constantly and eat candy often. but i am no doctor so you should definately ask your doctor about it. hypoglycemia seems to be thought of as not serious, but in fact its just as serious as diabetes, and also can progress like diabetes. you may have been told this 5 years ago but it may have progressed to a higher level. it could be worse. you need to have your doctor check your blood sugar levels.
Avatar n tn I have sick sinus syndrome with afib. and bradycardia. I take flecainide 150mg twice a day. Any time that I need an antibiotics doctors, other than my cardiologist, struggle to find one that isn't countraindicated.
7465389 tn?1391024867 He is referring me to a cardiologist and an elecrophysiologist because I also had 9 hours 42 minutes of bradycardia, with the slowest single episode lasting 10 minutes with a minimum heart rate of 41. What scares me the most is that when I wore the monitor I only had one event where I actually could feel the palpitations while some days I have dozens of events I can feel. He said he could not put me on beta blockers because of the bradycardia.
Avatar n tn Have you had a glucose tolerance test to see if your body produces too much insulin as a reaction when you eat? This is a different test from having a simple blood sugar test -- you must drink a sugary solution and blood is drawn several times to see how your body is reacting. Unfortunately, when people have what is called REACTIVE HYPOGLYCEMIA (when the body reacts by over-producing insulin, which causes hypoglycemia), it can be difficult to show in a test.
Avatar f tn I was told last May that I have a bradycardia and one day down the road I will need a pacemaker, I'm currently 37 years old, my question is today I have felt the skips in the heart beat more today and when I feel the heart beat after the break today it takes my breath away. Is this something I need to go to the ER about today or just follow up with my doctor.
Avatar n tn You may not know that a dry mouth which can feel like thirst is one of the symptoms of hypoglycemia as well as diabetes. And logic tells us that if your mouth is dry and you are drinking lots of fluids, you will urinate often. I am a tightly-controlled type 1 diabetic, and the dry mouth feeling that I get when my glucose is low is almost identical to the sensation of having high blood sugar.
Avatar f tn http://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/tc/bradycardia-slow-heart-rate-overview#1 Unfortunately, acupuncture has no helpful effect on bradycardia.
Avatar m tn yes, i was diagnosed with hypoglycemia of some kind, at the doctors office my blood pressure was 70/50 i felt dizzy, its always low, and my resting heart rate is 45 or so , and i do smoke which i think is wierd, i used to exercise a little, plus i also take klonopin and zoloft......
Avatar n tn Is hypoglycemia the same as diabetes? What's the difference between type 1 and type2 diabetes? is it the age of the person that makes the difference between the two types?
Avatar m tn Lately, I have been having bradycardia issues, specifically in the evening time. My pulse is usually between 48 and 52 beats per minute... which is a bit low for me. I am taking the medicine for hypertension... but since heart disease runs in my family and fish oil has some pretty good evidence behind it, I thought I would take it 2. Any comments, suggestions?
Avatar m tn One time, a year or 2 ago, I had a TSH test of around 7.7 and instead of going on meds, I elected to wait and see, and when it was re-checked, it was back down to around 3.5 within weeks. Indeed looking over my history the number jumps around a bit...over 5 years I've seen as low as 1.5 and as high as 7.5. (I've been tested so much due to cardiac PVC's which were finally determined benign after a stress echo).
