Avatar f tn I generally consume odwalla/naked drinks every morning 5/7 days of the week, along with an odwalla or cliff bar. I will sometimes consume another granola bar later in the night. I feel like I'm consuming to much sugar, in short. Does anyone have thoughts on this ? I'm a busy student, so i just grab things and go. I'm trying to grab healthier things, but the amount of sugar in this stuff is crazy.
Avatar f tn Hand sanitizer! Use it before eating. Also try eating food out of wrappers so you don't have to touch it and can keep it in your pocket and eat on the go. (Granola bar cereal bar protein bar.) The small frequent meals reeeeeally help, doing 2 or 3 big meals just doesn't cut it. Protein shakes or ensure sounds like another goof idea. Real food is always better but at least you can get some good nutrients in and stave off hunger and dizziness and sickness with the bars or shakes.

But if you eat PROTEIN instead of the granola bar, it won't make your blood sugar be high by lunch time. Also what you can do is add some PROTEIN to your breakfast so you won't be hungry so fast. The cereal lasts only about 2 hours. hanburger and fries will make your blood sugar go sky high and remain high for a long time.

Like for my snack today at work I brought a granola bar and a Clementine. The Clementine has 16 grams of carbohydrates and my granola bar (2 servings) was a total of 29 carbohydrates. Therefore in order to eat both I could only eat one of the granola bars instead of the serving size of two.

If you read any creditable gestational diabetes site, they will all tell you to eat like you normally do. If you have gestational diabetes, you want to find out so you can do what is best for you and your baby. Not to trick the test up so you can pass, which won't happen anyways because you can't trick it.

So it become a habit and I used to keep them in store at office for frequent consumption.Recently I heard about the transfat menace and how dangerously it will affect the arteries. Avatar f tn I can get this way too. It usually has to do with low blood sugar for me. So I'll drink water, eat a piece of fruit, or granola bar.... try and keep a snack with you at all times. You may need to have a lil snack every hour or so the first couple months. Your body sure is going through alot. Hope it gets better hon.

Avatar f tn Because you will end up feelings uncomfortable. Eat Quest Bar with banana milk shake (high in protein and healthy). Eat fruits or tuna and veggies. - EXERCISE 4-5 Days a week. Or else it will make your body tired. Make sure to get a good sleep and rest after working out (if you want to build muscles, drink protein shake after the workout to recover your muscles). Do 30-45 minutes of cardio or go for a jog for 1 hour. You could do other sports that your enjoy like basketball and volleyball etc..
Avatar m tn OMIGOD, this is amazing. I'm almost throwing up just thinking about some of these morning solutions. Maybe I'm unusual, but nausea is a huge problem for me on these meds and is spite of regular use of , I still have to be picky about what I try to eat. I can manage a broad range of items fine later in the day, but the early morning dose is the hardest. I found the wetter solutions were the most likely to make me want to barf.
