In your shoes, I would use the number for the luteal phase, but even so, 22 - 256 is such a huge range that 49 might have even been normal for you when you were having periods. Anyway, ask your ob/gyn to refer you to a specialist to see why your periods are AWOL, no matter what your readings are you already know that they are not coming on so it's not like you need proof.

Like the other post said, the best way to figure yours out is to start BBT (basal body temperature) charting. Are you familiar with this? Hi - When I was tested I'd been off T4 for 2 months/taking no thyroid hormone replacement at all, but for 8 years prior to that had been taking Levothyroid (T4) daily. I'd suspected adrenal dysfunction and wanted to get this test done before taking meds again. Prior to that, I'd tried the other meds mentioned in my previous post. I've never had free T3 or free T4 tested in the past so don't have any reference ranges to compare to for those.

Let me clarify, if your luteal phase is normally 10 days long and at 12-13 days into your luteal phase your temp is still high then chances are you're pg.

If your luteal phase is less than 10 days your chances of conceiving are pretty much nil. There needs to be 10 or more days or otherwise your body will begin menstruating, even if you do conceive, because the embryo doesn't have sufficient time to signal to your body that you are pregnant to prevent menstruation. Good morning :) Well, I was prescribed progesterone suppositories because my luteal phase averages 9-10 days & I've been TTC since February last year. I started taking the progesterone two weeks ago. I'm past my usual luteal phase. It's now 12 DPO & no sign of AF, yet negative pregnancy tests. I usually at least get spotting by 9 DPO, but so far, nothing. Has anyone had experience with progesterone supp. while TTC?

Your luteal phase is the time between ovulation and your next period. Typically women have a 14 day luteal phase, but not always. Since you have 28-30 day cycles, if you know when you ovulate then you can figure out how long it is. I ovulate on CD 15/16 and start my period on the 15th day after ovulation which gives me a LP of 14 days, since the 15th day after AF comes putting me back at CD1.
