Hi! I just received the results of my day 3 blood test and learned that my FSH is 12.1 and my Estradiol is at 20. I'm really nervous about the FSH level and was hoping for some insight regarding our chances of getting pregnant and what type of treatment options we have. Also, is there anything to worry about with the Estradiol number? I know it's low but is there such a thing as too low? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!
I am 40 years old, I just received a repeat FSH and it is 24.4 my estradiol level is 27.7. A year ago my CD4 FSH was only 9.9 but my estradiol was 80...what could cause such a reversal of results and what does the estradiol level mean in relation to the FSH level?
I had an HSG which came back normal, I had an ultrasound done last year as well which during that time my RE saw an egg which he said looked healthy being ready to be released from my left ovary.
Taken in conjunction with the FSH level, a higher level of E2 on day 3 may be masking the true FSH level. So, if FSH is in the normal range, and E2 is high, the FSH may actually be higher than the number given. My dr said that E2 isn't indicative of anything taken on it's own (unless one is on fertility medications), but must be considered in light of FSH.
What was your wife's FSH level?
I am almost 42 years old. We had a baby girl in April who died at 8 days old due to a virus. We have been ttc since May and no luck. His sperm count is good. I am worried. Just had my labs drawn on CD 3 and my fsh was 13.3 and estradiol <15. Any suggestions on what steps I should take?
I read some of the post regarding Weatgrass 1 oz shots that it is very good for women in general and that it is good for fertility and it can help in lowering FSH. do not ask me what is my FSH bc i do nto know yet, i need to take the test once i get my cycle. I lost my baby 6 month ago at 12 wks an 2 days and we have been trying again since then but no luck. went to a fertility doctor and she wanted me to do all the CD 3 tests.

After the miscarriage the doctor removed the large cyst from my ovary and told me he found endometriosis. I never knew I had that disease and I don't suffer ANY problems from it unless it is the cause of my cysts and irregular periods???
I was tested for Thyroid and because i was having pain in my breasts, the dr thought it could be a prolactin issue and tested my female hormones. I am 38 yrs old and my FSH on day 6 was 5.9. i actually am having secondary fertility issues as well and just got a "day 3" blood test done (which was actually done on day 2 because that was the only day i could get into my RE) which i haven't gotten the results back yet. by the way - i also get hot flashes and night sweats...
Did they test your Estradiol? Estradiol can suppress fsh, so that could be why you fsh was so low. From what I understand cysts sometime increase Estradiol. I currently have a cyst, but my Estradiol came back under 50 with was good.
I have a high fsh, between 18-20, but one cycle it was 5 and my Estradiol was 80 which meant it was suppressing my fsh.

Many women have taken wheatgrass to lower their FSH (among other things). I started taking it but got a BFP before my FSH was retested. I had high FSH (17.6) and low AMH (0.2). Many women also believe in accupuncture. I couldn't find an accupuncturists but started seeing a chiropractor after reading some interesting articles on chiropractics and infertility.
t pregnant (25 years old). She recently saw her endocrinologist and was informed that her FSH and Estrodiol levels were extremely loW, her cortisol levels are normal. He did an MRI of the pituitary and found nothing and now wants her to go to her gyno because he can't seem to figure it out. Can anyone shed some light on what the cause could be, this has been a frustrating ordeal, please help!
My doctor had my FSH, LH, progesterone, and estradiol levels tested twice. Here are my results:
FSH
first test: 6.2
second test: 6.8
LH
first test: normal apparently, but I didn't see what exactly it was
second test: 7.9
Estradiol
first test: not sure, but normal apparently
second test: 52
I'm a little concerned about the estradiol. A few sources I've checked online have said that an estradiol level of above 50 can mask a high FSH. Is this true?
s a fairly normal level of estradiol pre-menopause. the FSH is elevated but not nearly as high as it might be in menopause. I'm still not yet through to the other side of menopause with estradiol at <10 and my FSH around 90. You are in the age range to have perimeno symptoms. These can fluctuate a LOT. You could all of a sudden begin getting regular periods again, keep having them be spaced out or anything inbetween.

I recently started the Chinese Herbal Medicine treatment for fertility, focusing on tonifying kidney and boosting circulation. The latest Day3 blood test shows an elevated Estradiol above 70 and lowered FSH around 6, compared to my test last year's level of FSH around 8 and Estradiol in mid 40's. I am 39 years old.
My RE is highly regarded in his field and he told me at my first appointment that he is not even going to consider Clomid for me because of my age and he would just start me off on Menopur but he asked that I take a repeat FSH/estradiol and I did and the results were worse than before so I don't know what his game plan is going to be. I am just leaving it in Gods merciful and miraculous hands and EXPECT to get pregnant and have a baby.
