Avatar n tn One should also contact a doctor if the rash seems worse and fever is present. In most cases, prickly heat will resolve within a few weeks without medical attention or intervention. Regards.
Avatar n tn Just wondering if anyone has found a remedy for the "hiker's rash" or the heat rash that develops above ankles when in hot and humid weather and on feet all day? I have seen 2 dermatologists and they are stumped. This discussion is related to Lower Leg Rash.
Avatar m tn if a large rash appears in the centre of someones chest , what could be the reason for this???????
Avatar m tn Since then the rash continued to get worse, is heat and sweat sensitive, he prescribed me an anti fungal which seemed to irritate the head of my penis and not do much for the rash, we have since stopped the cream and I was told to try using a powder and keep the area very dry and between that and a few home remedies (vinegar, yogurt) for yeast and fungal infections it is being kept at bay, and even seemed to be clearing up for a week.
Avatar m tn In the next week or two it spreads to either my right collar bone, middle of my upper chest, or both. I assume its a heat rash based on my Google searching. This rash comes like once every 2 months It goes from barely not being noticeable to being wide spread and red. Only things ive done to try and get rid of it is use Cortisone cream (with Aloe) and wash the spots with Dove soap and let it air dry.
Avatar n tn Hello, They sound like heat rash or superficial burns. Apply cool compresses on the area and take bath with cool(not very cold) water. Do not scrub your skin or shave your skin and use a soft towel and gently pat your skin dry. Also use an Over-The-Counter remedy containing aloe vera and a light moisturizer or a dusting powder to relieve chaffing. You can apply silver sulfadiazine (1% cream) on the skin except face and see if it helps.
Avatar n tn Atopic dermatitis may be considered here.Your rash appears to be triggered by heat and the incidence reverts spontaneously after a few minutes once in a cooler environment. I suggest that you have this assessed by an allergologist or clinical immunologist. An atopic reaction has to be ruled out. At this point avoid exposure to extreme heat and take frequent baths to cool the body. You may use mild moisturizers with menthol and camphor for cooling effects .
Avatar f tn Unless your breastfeeding I put breastmilk on everything and it clears it right up. Is it a heat rash?
Avatar f tn I was told by a friend that petrolleum jelly is ok to put on the rash. What other product you recommend? Could it be an allergy to the sunblock? I have never had allergies before. it only happens when i am at the beach for a long period of time. What can I do? is there a quick fix? how can I prevent it?
Avatar n tn I have had a heat rash on my neck, beside the jawline now for 14 years. I have been to a few Dr's who have said "Its just a heat rash, nothing you can do about it". My question, can a heat rash last for this long? Its been in the same place and has never spread. Its definately gets worse in the heat, it itches like crazy.

Avatar f tn Hi all, recently diagnosed with Achilles tenosynovitis, and treatment of celebrex is not doing the trick. Not using it normally but cannot rest 24/7. Was not given crutches, concerned my weight (I'm about 40 lbs overweight) is hindering my recovery. Still in pain, limping and have some swelling - all docs told me it should be normal in a few days with the celebrex. I'm traveling and cannot afford to be immobile.

Avatar n tn Cholinergic urticaria is a subcategory of physical urticaria ( hives) that is a skin rash brought on by a hypersensitive reaction to body heat. Symptoms follow any stimulus to sweat such as exercise, heat from the sun, saunas, hot showers (reaction to water can also indicate water urticaria) or any stimulus that causes an increase in body temperature. All urticarias are caused by an elevated histamine release by the body's mast cells.
