Avatar f tn Natural dog arthritis supplements offering your dog the correct amounts of Glucosamine, MSM, Chondroitan sulfate, Hyaluronic acid, Omega-3 fatty acids and Vitamin C will help to relieve your dogs arthritis pain and nourish his joints. Avatar n tn I am a survivor of 10 years and I am finished with Tamoxifen and have till October when I will be finished with Femara. My urologist wants me to begin taking Vitamin C and Acidophalos?? I wasalways told that one shoud not take vitamins, having had cancer. I am allowed to take Evening Primrose Oil 1500 one a day to prevent breast cysts. I am most concerned about starting Vitamin C.

675347 tn?1365460645 This is a good article about glucosamine and chondroitin. Often vitamin C is evidently added for canines, to enhance uptake. http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?

Avatar m tn At 204, 4 liters is probably about right - maybe even not enough if the soda you're drinking is caffeinated, you drink tea, and you work out or your job involves physical labour. If you don't like Gatorade, you might try the packs of 'Emergen-C' powder. It can be mixed into your other drinks, comes in different flavors, and also has different formulations containing additional supplements (i.e. glucosamine/chondroitin).
Avatar n tn s recommended to be taken with meals. If you want a powder, try something like Emergen-C, a high dose powder with each dose enclosed in a separate packet protecting it from oxidation. Vitamin C begins to oxidize instantly on contact with the air, another reason not to dissolve a tablet in water first. Another option is to take it in capsule form, avoiding the fillers and binders. Magnesium, on the other hand, can help with constipation.

Avatar n tn At any rate, there are so many remedies for joint inflammation -- MSM, chondroiton and glucosamine sulfate, proteolytic enzymes such as bromelain, quercitin, vitamin C, ginger, turmeric, boswellia, devil's claw, yucca -- I mean, the list is very long. Perhaps the best thing is to buy a good book on natural treatment of this problem since there are so many combinations of options to choose from.
Avatar n tn s the vitreous pulling on it that tears the retina away. The vitreous humour, by the way, contains the second highest concentration of vitamin C in the body. Vitamin C is an anti-oxidant as well as being necessary for the formation of collagen. I don't know whether upping your vitamin C intake would help. Judily.
Avatar m tn My dog weighed 28-30lbs and the correct dose for her was 500mg Glucosamine per day. The vet said the 'human' Glucosamine was fine to use, so long as the dosage was correct for the dog's weight. So it depends what your dog's weight is, how much you can increase the dose. As far as I can make out, dogs (and humans too) respond differently to Glucosamine. With some there are great results, and with some, not much improvement. You could mention this to your vet perhaps.
20898027 tn?1590467808 How? Vitamin C is an antioxidant. Vitamin E works on blood vessels and is fat soluble, so it's not going to get anywhere near a shoulder. Clarification?
Avatar n tn My lab started limping really bad. I went to human vitamin store and got her some glucosamine supplements. I got the liquid flavored glucosamine and the glucosamine soft flavored chew. I know some cannot swallow pills. My dog eats the chews if I slightly warm them. She will not touch the liquid. I would rather put a pill in some meat or something. It is much easier for her to take. I put her back on a food with glucosamine and she isnt having any problems.
Avatar f tn OMG!Am 12 weeks pregnant but seriously craving for baby powder..Help me luvly people what can I do is this going to affect the baby plz thnx?

Avatar m tn I give a TON of credit to the following methods 1) Drink LOTS of water, green tea 2) (My opinion, this is the most important) TAKE YOUR IMMUNE SUPPORTS! I took vitamin C, Lysine, Zinc, Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin B6, an immune support, Emergen-C. From what I heard, Vitamin C, Lysine and Zinc are probably the most important ones you don't want to miss 3) Get LOTS of sleep 4) In the beginning, use ACV. It does burn, but put it on a pad or cotton ball, and tape it to the area.
