I am a 40 year old woman with the problem of frequent urination. I do not have diabetes or UTI and my ultrasound scan is normal. I underwent a D&C procedure in December of 2007. My urologist thinks that I should see a psychiatrist. I have a bulky uterus. I was 200 lbs three years ago, now I am 125 lbs, (through diet and excercise).
My gynec told me that I have over-exercised,(walking 14 km a day).
I feel constant irritation and pressure in my bladder.
Usually frequent is accompanied with something else. And when they say frequent we are talking about every 5 minutes.
I have never experienced incontinence and do not have a urinary tract infection. I went to a urologist a little while ago and they told me I was emptying my bladder all of the way but unfortunately that was the only test I really had done since I lost my health insurance. A few months later was diagnosed with a hypoactive thyroid and was put on synthroid but other than that I really have no other health issues.
The frequent urination has stopped but ive been squeezing my penis a few times a day to see if anything will come out and nothing comes out. There's no burning or discharge but now I just feel penis discomfort. Could the frequent urination that has now stopped and now penis discomfort be std related? Any advice would help! Very worried!

For the past two and a half years, I've had a problem with frequent urination. No incontinence of any kind, but I tend to pee on average 12-20 times a day. Sometimes I'll be up one or two times at night, sometimes more and sometimes not at all. I DO drink quite a bit of fluid.
In pelvic inflammatory disease there is lower abdominal pain and irregular menstrual bleeding. In fibroids a woman will have backache, frequent urination, pain in legs, painful sex, heavy painful periods etc.Ovarian cysts can cause irregular menstrual bleeding, lower abdominal pain, pain on urination and pelvic pain after sex.It is essential to rule out the above mentioned causes. Frequent urination doesn't suggest STD of any kind. It is often a symptom of stress or anxiety, especially when the source of anxiety is concern about genital health. So I doubt you caught an STD, and I doubt anything is wrong except for anxiety. But if your symptoms persist, see your health care provider or your local STD clinic for examination and reassurance. You can expect that nothing abnormal will be found.
About 3 days later I started noticing a increase in my need to urinate (because of this I started drinking more water, to be sure not to get dehydrated, which of course lead to more frequent urination ) I also started feeling a slight pain towards the tip of my penis... Not during urination but just throughout the day, I never noticed any discharge, swelling, or abdominal pain... And the frequency at which I urinate has gone back to more of a regular amount..

A cystoscopy can always be done to look for any local causes for the same. An infection in the prostate could be a culprit in the same. Hence, a rectal examination can also help in picking up the chronic prostatitis which can give rise to the symptoms which you’ve mentioned. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.

It began when I was approximately eight years old, occuring once at that time, I had to use the restroom to urinate, and upon returning to my bedroom, I experienced a strong urge to urinate again in a large volume. After that incident, it did not happen again for a long time. As I grew older and entered my teenage years, the issue resurfaced. I started urinating frequently with short intervals and in significant amounts. It can endure for a few minutes to several hours.

Same here. Have to pee all the time! I had a UTI with no symptoms in first trimester and now I'm paranoid that constant need to go is a symptom of another UTI. I thought pressure on bladder was supposed to decrease for awhile in 2nd trimester...?
The one STD which might be associated with urinary frequency is non-gonococcal urethritis, which is diagnosed by demonstration of increased numbers of white blood cells in a urine specimen collected at the beginning of urination or in a urethral swab from the penis. In both cases you should not have urinated for at least an hour before your specimen is collected. You could have this done at your local STD clinic for little if any cost.

I am 30 yr old male . I have frequent urination since 2 months. KUB, urine analysis, urine culture and diabtic tests have been done. No infections were found. I had white discharge thrice in this two months. And burning sensation after ejaculation. The problem gets worst once ejaculated.some times urine passes as two streams. One with thinnner stream and other as a drops.(not always this stream).
Carbonated drinks have an adverse effect on healing and the additives in them can predispose to the formation of renal calculi, especially in a kidney that is recovering from an infective insult/
If the infection was persistent, your son would have had frequency of urination even at night.
Do ensure that he has adequate fluid intake 1500 - 2000 ml per day that includes milk, citrus juices, and water. You can always substitute carbonated drinks with lemonade.
