About 1 month ago, i was diagnosed with a bladder infection.I finished antibiotics and the frequent urination went away...up until 3 days ago. I have no abnormal discharge or burning when I urinate. I am wondering if my frequent urination could be caused by an std. Thanks.
This has been going on for about 4-5 years now. The burning occurs near the tip of my penis and occurs during urination and a short time afterwords. In addition, I always feel like i have not emptied my bladder but I can't. I went to a urologist when it first started happening and they ruled out UTI, and gave my kidneys an ultrasound and ruled out anything associated with that.
I have been experiencing frequent urination for 5 years now (I have to pee every 30mins or so). Its absolutely awful and sometimes I have a burning sensation after I pee. I've noticed though that when I'm ovulating and I have lots of discharge the frequency is slightly less. I've gone for several tests over the years; it's not uti, cysts or diabetes and I don't think it's an STD since I am a virgin. My discharge can also be quite fishy and dark and I get a bump inside my labia after each period.
Urinary tract (which consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra) infections are very common in young women. Symptoms of UTI are frequent urination, burning sensation during urination, passing of blood in urine and even fever. The most common causes of repeated UTIs are kidney stones and diabetes mellitus. Women who are sexually active, who use diaphragms for birth control, and/or are past menopause are at an increased risk for urinary tract infections.
Symptoms do not come on the next day and frequent urination is usually not a stand alone symptom and frequent means like every 10-15 minutes. If worried wait 1 week from the encounter and get tested for gonorrhea, but overall I see no need to do so.
I am a 22-year old male with frequent urination. I use the restroom 6-10 times per day, always with a moderate or large amount of uine to void. Before this problem I was urination every 4-6 hours. There is no burning when I void. Some days I feel as though I constantly have to urinate. It is not as bad in the morning or at night. This problem has been going on for approximately 6 weeks now. I have been to my GP and a urologist. My GP put me on 10 days of Cipro, but that did not help.
Did either of you (bip/msniki) start to feel better? I've had UTIs before and they start off as frequent urination, but within hours, I'd get the pain and know immediately what it was. I'm also peeing every 45 minutes...since this morning. I've got no pain or burning, just the little tickle when I need to go. It's so damn annoying, b/c it's 2:30am and now I can't sleep. I tried so hard to not drink too much, but the urine keeps coming.
I am not thirsty but I have to drink water to keep up with my unrinating or I will get dehydrated. I went to the doctor and he did a urine test and blood test to make sure it wasn't diabetes or kidney problems and the tests came back with no problems at all. My lower back hurts as well but the doctor says its probably not related. It has me worried and annoyed. Is it possible that I have a pinched nerve thats making me produce more urine? Any suggestions or ideas?
I've mastrubated recently, and then I had a frequent urge to urinate. I haven't had sex with anyone. But I have a good clue that my bladder is inflamed or something. There is no pain or blood anywhere. Can someone please answer to my problem?
I am 25 and recently, i started experiencing frequent urination. I had side pain for a day so i got urine test done and it came out normal. The doctor still prescribed me antibiotic (Enoxabid) for UTI but it did not improve my condition. Now i continue experiencing frequent urination. Every 1.5 to 2 hours, i feel the urge to urinate and since the last 2-3 days i am also experiencing slight burning in the vagina.
Hi there! Well, without a detailed clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of your symptoms. Possibilities that may need to be considered include GU infections, inflammations, neuro-muscular causes, growths/ masses etc. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician or a urologist for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. Hoe this is helpful. Take care!
I did a urine culture and he gave me some pills to take for the next three days and told me to come back and see what the results are. I'm a 27 year old male. The results came back negative. Since then the burning has stopped and the itchiness too, but now i have frequent urination. I get up about 2-3 time in the night to go pee. I have to go evey 3 hours and also throughout the day. I cant get a good night sleep! If the urine culture came back negative. What could this be?
next he said it was maybe prostatitis, and gave me another course of antibiotics for a month. i have a week left on these pills, and it doesn't seem like there has been any improvement. had these problems about eight weeks. any ideas?
I have been experiencing frequent urination for the past 2 months. I do not experience any other symptoms. I do not have any burning or pain. I just feel the urge to urinate every 1-2 hours. The color of my urine is also normal. There has been no change in the amount of fluids i consume. My thyroid is normal and i am not diabetic. Also, my urinalysis and urine culture have come out normal. What could be causing this?
I do not have any other symptoms. The color of the urine is normal and there is no burning. I do not feel pain anywhere. Its just that previously i was passing urine 3-4 times a day and now it has increased to 8 times. I am consuming the same amount of fluids as before. I am not diabetic and my urinalysis came out normal. What could be causing this? Please help!
Isn't it true that HSV-2 can cause frequent urination? and not everyone gets ulcers, lesions, and blister? correct? If this was from hsv-2 would my symptoms last this long. going past 2 weeks of frequent urination? The STD clinic said it could be from that and my heart sank. thank you for your time and i swear i did not mean to imply that i preferred the other doctor. He just knew more about me. I apologize once again.
I have frequent urination (every hr) and burning urethra (sometimes when I am dehydrated) for 4 months now.I have gone thru 20 days of levo,20 days of cipro,1.5gm of azithromycin and finally Cystoscopy 5 weeks back. The result in cystoscopy said mild chronic cystitis.I have been taken vesicare and xatral for 40 days now.I went to see the urologist again and he said he cannot pinpoint what is the root cause yet and it should clear on its own in 1-2 months.
Are you on any medication that could have frequent urination as a side effect? Flatulence can also be attributed to an infection. Going on a course of antibiotics, e.g., Norfloxacin with tinidazole twice daily for 5-7 days can help treat an infection of the GI tract and the urinary tract. This should be followed up with restoration of normal bacterial flora of the intestine with yoghurt consumption.
I was tested for HIV at 4.5 weeks and it was negative. I also was tested for gonn., chym. and syphilis and all the tests were negative. However, I occassionally get a feeling in my penis that I have to urinate badly. I feel as though I may have an accident and at times it feels as though I am dripping, but it is just a sensation and there is never any urine or any other discharge in my underwear or noticeable on my penis.

I am a 25 year old female and for the past year or so now I have been getting sudden and frequent urges to urinate. I urinate at least once an hour and most of the time I feel like I have to go again about 15-20 minutes later. It seems to be worse when I'm laying down. I have never experienced incontinence and do not have a urinary tract infection.
Hi, How are you? Frequent urination and leakage of urine after urination are not related to C5-C6 injury. This could be due to irritation of the bladder lining or prostrate enlargement. Do you have any other symptoms like blood in urine, burning sensation while urination, discharge etc? It would be better to visit a urologist for further work up. Best.
A couple days ago I drank a lot of cranberry juice and the next day I was back to normal, but now I feel the urge to urinate a lot, and it's mostly at night time. It's feels like a burning/itching sensation but when I actually urinate I feel fine. Just a bit uncomfortable. Any ideas what it could be? I would of posted this in the urology forum but it costs money to!
