Different views. However i make a great search and i found that 3 months is conclusive. All the antibodies tests are accurate and reliable in 3 months even in private lab.
So I just called the Florida Department of Health HIV/AIDS hotline and asked them about the use of the 4th generation combo tests and their window periods. She said that all DOH sites in the state use the 4th generation combo test as the primary test and they consider the results conclusive after 15-17 days from last exposure. With no further need to test.
What do you guys think of that?
Im currently in orlando fl. And before i found out abt my lite miracle i used to smoke everyday. Obviously once i found out i quit. When i went to my ob , they took a urine sample and of course i was still dirty and she brought that up to me. Im 33wks and i havent had a problem since because i stayed clean. But im pretty sure they test your urine at every appointment..i also have medicaid.
This subject is discussed here ad nauseum. Anyone is free to decide for themselves when they feel comfortable testing. ON THIS FORUM, we adhere to the official guidelines, the doctors take a more liberal stance.

Like Mary said, I've done the garden thing, only to spend a fortune on pesticides, plant food etc etc, so that the bugs, birds, rabbits and raccoons could have a feast. I do love to grow things and do pretty good with flowers but I don't know how anyone can grow vegetables in Florida. It makes me think of all the pesticides that growers must use here in Florida...yuck.

I just found out about 12 years ago my mate was unfaithful and i have gotten tested recently with an third generation eia antibody test hiv1/2 with reflexes, a rapid blood test, 4 oraquick home tests and all came back negative. But ive read ur post that some people with aids antibodies wont show on those tests. Im very scared that im in that stage and the tests i took arent sufficient enough to know for sure.
I have seen a post in the community saying that the fourth generation test can completely exclude AIDS after 28 days.

Im in California I took the free state blood work exam that is combined with ultrasound those tests are known to have alot of false positives. I am 38 yrs with my 3rd so I opted for the amniocentesis its the most accurate for chromosomal disorders. Do some research there are many options. Enjoy your pregnancy!
