Hello Dr. HHH or Hook I tested for HIV at the Dallas County Health and Human Services Department. It was a Rapid HIV test as well as a Nucleic Acid Test for the virus itself and I was tested for syphilis as well. All of my tests came back negative and this was 47 or 48 days after potential exposure. I made sure to ask whether the testing facility re-uses needles/syringes and I was assured that they do not.
During her stay at parkland she was diagnosed with tuberculosis, she got meningitis, that cryptocuccus bacteria, a stool disease, kaposi sarcoma, all the stuff AIDS Related. She passed 10/31/2009 at midnight of end stage AIDS. After her death another worry began. Did I have aids? Did my 3 year old have it as well? See, my mama and I were very close we shared eye liner, loofahs, almost everything. My daughter would bite her and make her bleed. We shared it all.
Is there any programs that pay for breast reconstruction . I had to have my removed in 1998 due to cancer. I don't have any insurance. So you can help me find some one does it free .I have been told there are doctors that do some times. thank you .

I waited 3 months and took a rapid Insti hiv test at a free aids clinic. Then my OCD came back a day later .. Having thought like was the tesr kit contiminated .. Lancet of pipette was dirty.. What if the tester in the free clinic was trying to infect me? It is a free testing facility is there a risk? So I'm 5 weeks after getting tested I am still worried. I always Google transmission risk of a lancet and everybody says there not reusae. It's like my mind won't believe it.

About two months ago I was diagnosed with syphilis and treated with penicillin.
I was told to go back for further testing in three months to see if it's been treated successfully, though I've read in a few places that due to the presence of antibodies after a syphilis infection, future blood tests will always remain positive for syphilis.
Is this true? And if so, how can they accurately diagnose if treatment has fully eradicated the syphilis infection?

This subject is discussed here ad nauseum. Anyone is free to decide for themselves when they feel comfortable testing. ON THIS FORUM, we adhere to the official guidelines, the doctors take a more liberal stance.
Dr. HHH often posts a few links to posts he's made that explains in detail about testing protocols, and why they give the advice THEY do, and why we give the advice we do. They are a good read.
A good thyroid doctor will treat a hypo patient clinically by testing and adjusting Free T3 and Free T4 as necessary to relieve symptoms, without being constrained by resultant TSH levels. You can get some good insight into clinical treatment from this letter written by a good thyroid doctor for patients that he sometimes consults with after initial tests and evaluation. The letter is then sent to the participating doctor of the patient to help guide treatment.
I just found out about 12 years ago my mate was unfaithful and i have gotten tested recently with an third generation eia antibody test hiv1/2 with reflexes, a rapid blood test, 4 oraquick home tests and all came back negative. But ive read ur post that some people with aids antibodies wont show on those tests. Im very scared that im in that stage and the tests i took arent sufficient enough to know for sure.
