Avatar n tn The nerve in my back is pinched by baby. Syatic (sp) nerve is there any relief available that i can do at home? Sometimes i can't even get outta bed...
Avatar f tn I have chronic pain in my right leg and right foot to the point I have stopped running/exercising. The pain is a deep pain and very achy. Also at times the skin will have different sensations from one part of say the calf to the other side of the calf. I have had the pain for 8 to 9 years and when the pain first started it was primarily in the thigh I had a bone scan and MRI and found nothing. The pain in the foot is most aggrevating and has caused me to alter my exercising.

Avatar f tn I have pain, but it feels like I have a nerve pinched off in my ankle. Most of the time normal movement does not hurt then other times the slightest movement shoots a pain that makes my whole leg give out. If I rub around I can usually find a sore spot. Is this PN or a pinched nerve? Thanks for any imput.
Avatar n tn You might have a pinched nerve. A chiropractor can help. I would prefer to see the chiropractor first before seeing other doctors for something like that. I have had a few pinched nerves corrected by my own chiropractor. It's my first choice because I would prefer to avoid surgery and I do get relief.
Avatar f tn I don't have any idea about pinched nerve.
Avatar m tn The pain that you are experiencing can be due to non-union of fracture ends, mal-union of fracture ends, pinched nerve, ligament tear, tendonitis or due to poor position of foot due to peroneal nerve injury. Non and mal union would be evident on X-rays. To diagnose nerve injury and pinched nerve, you will need nerve conduction studies. Ligament tears would be evident only on MRI. Please discuss this with an orthopedic specialist. Take care!
Avatar n tn Hello, Going by your symptoms,I feel that this type of pain can be due to plantar fasciitis(irritation and inflammation of the tight tissue that forms the arch of the foot),heel spurs, tarsal tunnel syndrome(causes a large nerve in the back of the foot to become entrapped, or pinched), Achilles tendonitis, retrocalcaneal bursitis and arthritis(rheumatoid arthritis, reactive arthritis, gouty arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and psoriatic arthritis).
Avatar f tn However, for the past four weeks I have been experiencing pain in my upper back (in my shoulder blade) from an apparent pinched nerve. I am extremely miserable. I can barely move to do anything. When I sneeze, laugh, cry, I feel like I'm being stabbed in the said location and it radiates to my entire back and down my spine. I guess I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions to help my pain? I've taken extra strength Tylenol but that really didn't have any affect at all.
1560989 tn?1295033689 Most pinched nerves occur in the spinal region (as a pinched nerve requires some kind of compression, normally between bones) and would cause pain in the back of the legs or the arms. Thigh pain sounds more muscular. Also nerve pain is normally described as numbness and/or sharp or stabbing not burning and tingling. Could you elaborate more on how it feels? Might be able to give better advice.
Avatar f tn Thank you for responding. I had my feet x-rayed by a Podiatrist and they looked normal. My concern was if hsv2 hangs out on the sacral nerve could the nerve be damaged causing the foot pain? I've been trying to whittle down what it could be and it's been frustrating. Thanks again!
Avatar n tn Shooting pain on the outside of the foot can be due to pinched nerve, faulty foot wear, clot in deep vein, sprain or due to injury. Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar f tn I started with shooting pain down left leg and burning on top of foot and big toe area. Now it is just the burning, no shooting pain. This also comes and goes at any time. My left hip hurts, it feels like it goes out of place and hurts when I pull it up to stomach. Any ideas on what this could be. My neurologist wants to test me for ms, but I don't think that is what it is, at least I hope not.
Avatar m tn They figured that the lower leg problems were caused by a pinched nerve. Now that the nerve is no longer pinched I am still having these problems. Does anyone have any advice?
1486688 tn?1333853707 I catch myself looking down to see what it is a couple times a day it seems like. Anybody else have this? nerve damage maybe? I do have three pinched nerves.
4318763 tn?1352730254 She could try icing her low back to see if it helps the pain in her foot to see if the pain is actually caused by pinched nerve in her back.
Avatar f tn Now, the pinched nerve pain in my left feet is back again and I am so afraid that I might not able to walk again. This time the pain is worst when I walked. Is like electric shock to my nerve. Can anybody tell me what is it or can you please advise me if you have ever came across such problem? Will it become a permanent problem?
Avatar n tn I have the oddest foot pain that came out of no where two days ago. The pain in my right foot makes me limp for a few steps after getting up. The pain is mostly in the sole of my foot and it is the the worst for the first ten steps or so then disappears. It comes and goes as I'm walking so I don't think I hurt it at the gym the other day. Anyone get foot pain...it hurts!
209987 tn?1451935465 Thanks for the info. I kinda figured that it had to be a pinched nerve or something because a few years back I broke my small toe on my right foot and can't feel the small or big toe since...doctor said that a nerve must have been pinched when it was put back into place...also got dropped on my head about 17 years ago and since then have no feeling in my left thumb. Had seen a nerve specialist about that...she did testing but then said not much could be done about it...don't know why...
Avatar m tn Hi Des, does that strange kind of Optic Neu.. happen to MS peoble? I´ve not heard of that before, if it does, I would not rule MS out just because it does not show on the MRI jet. I would see a neuro, he could check if you have pinched nerve or something else. Ofcourse there are also so many ms mimics out there, so that could be so many things. I hope you get this figured out soon, but more often it takes a lot of time (my experience, I´m not diagnosed yet, after two years waiting). Good luck!
Avatar f tn Could be something simple. Could also be a pinched nerve even in your knee or back. the pain in your hand could also have been a pinched nerve in your wrist.... I get lots of strange little pains because of the Fibromyalgia and arthritis. - Those "Ritis" brothers take you from "joint to joint". Sorry a little levity.
Avatar n tn Wow...there is someone like me. My throat pain has been with me for almost 1 year now. Mine is on the left side. I've been told I have a rare case of Laryngeal Neuralgia but all the medicines they have given me have been unimpressive. I'm taking meds that help with nerve pain. I even had a nerve block that did nothing. I'm going to try another in a few weeks and hoping for relief. Lifting, movement, etc.
Avatar f tn When I walk too much I get bad lower back pain. Lately its gotten worse I don't even do anything and I get a jolt of pain on my tail bone like if I just pinched a nerve and I can't walk. I told my dr he said its normal and didn't say anything else. The pain is really bad right now and i can't move i want to go to the hospital but was told if I go there not much they can do since im pregnant. Any one else have this pain too? How do you Deal With it?
Avatar n tn Can a pinched nerve cause transient numbness in primarily the left foot, but also in both hands and the right foot as well? Also would it cause burning in the legs, arms hands and feet and other sensations also around the entire body including the face? Could it also cause a tremor in both hands and right leg weakness and difficulty with walking? I guess I am wondering whether a person could have mulitple pinched nerves that would cause all these symptoms at once?
Avatar n tn Has the diagnosis of a pinched nerve been confirmed? Is the nerve that is pinched located in your cervical spine and thus producing symptoms of arm pain? It is important to know the location of the nerve as if affects the type of treatment that is recommended. If you are under the care of a doctor, have appropriate diagnostic tests been completed such as x-rays or MRI? Absent additional information, it would not be possible to determine your best treatment plan at this time.
