1855295 tn?1327536700 How do I answer questions about what happened at last job? And also questions regarding how this will affect current job? I am not sure how to answer this when asked. To let you guys know I currently have daily headaches, numbness in mouth, sometimes in hands and arms.
Avatar f tn Definitely don't mention it until you get the job. They aren't allowed to ask you any sort of pregnancy related questions. I made the mistake of telling them I was pregnant during a SECOND interview once with a clinic and I never got a call back and usually when a second interview happens you pretty much got the job... They asked me "So what are your plans for this year?" So I told them the truth and I never got a call back.
Avatar f tn re not allowed to ask about pregnancy, but I suggest being honest. I had a job interview while pregnant and got the job even after telling them I was pregnant and was not planning to return. Many employers value honesty. I've personally never had someone ask about time off in the future at an interview. Keep in mind you'll need a job flexible enough for you to go to your appointments still.
Avatar f tn Does being pregnant hurt your chances at a new job? I've been going to school to become a paralegal assistant, my long term goals would be a parole/probation officer and maybe even a lawyer when all is set in stone. I recently applied and submitted my resume to the Adult Probation office in town as an administrative clerk. Well, they finally emailed me yesterday that they liked my resume and would like to interview me on Friday! I'm sooooooooooo excited, but nervous at the same time.
1813627 tn?1337722375 I have an interview on Wednesday and was not going to mention the whole pregnancy thing yet. If i get the job then I will have to mention it sooner than later. I am not really showing so it wont be noticable. I was wondering what you ladies through of that. Thanks for your input. I just dont want to ruin my chances of being considered for this job.

Avatar f tn I have a job interview tomorrow, but I just found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant. Do I tell them at the interview?
Avatar f tn I am 23 weeks pregnant and have an interview tomorrow for a job at subway.. I'm nervous being pregnant and all that they wont hire me. I need out of my current job before I end in early labor over stress.. I need a job. I've worked at subway before so I don't need a lot of training. I also applied last night and they called in 24 hours so I'm hoping that means they really need people. Anyone else deal with this?
1576513 tn?1327896759 hi everyone, as you may know I have been tapering off codiene, today i went down to 60mg. I got a phone call this afternoon to attend a job interview (I am currently on leave from my job and looking for a new one). Because I cut down today (before the phone call) I will probably feel awful in the morning when I wake up, thats taking into account if I even sleep.
Avatar f tn Same thing happened to me. I went on an interview in December. And got the job but I got sick and couldn't take it. Now I'm healthy, i went back and filled out another app yesterday. Went to the interview today and the lady looked at me and said oh i can't interview you today I'm Too busy. Ill call you. Well if you couldn't interview me why did you call me to come in today? Ugh i was so pissed.
Avatar f tn Hello ladies, so I have a job interview in a few days.. I was wondering if I should go or call & cancel seems how I only have 3 1/2 months left? Also, if I take the job, can I go on maternity leave or do I have to be there for awhile before I can do that?
Avatar f tn So I had my interview today with my dream job I have always wanted it went great I wanted to be honest and I told them that I was 35 weeks pregnant an I have 5 more weeks to go at the end of the interview I don't no how they feel about that but they was asking me question like what are you having, what's the baby name, you don't look pregnant, is this your first child then they went onto saying they have kids also and telling me there names im so nervous I pray that they will work wi

Avatar f tn I'm 31+2d I have a job interview next Thursday, I really want to get hired but I don't think they will hire me because I'm so far along in my pregnancy I'm not sure until June 24 . If I tried to hide my belly I know they will be mad because I wasn't honest at first but I know if I do be honest they won't hire me.... What do you ladies suggest, what would you do?
492921 tn?1321289896 I have a job interview tomorrow at 3pm. I'm very nervous because I have a baby bump and I don't want to loose out on this opportunity because I'm pregnant. I know it's against the law to not hire me for that reason but they can always make up another reason. I know it's an issue of money and time spent into training me and then for me to take three months off after just 3 months a lot of businesses just don't feel it's in there best interest to do that.
Avatar f tn I have a Interview on Monday , I was wondering if any of you ladies didn't get a job because you told them that you were pregnant
486038 tn?1300063367 They sound easy now but once you are sitting with the interviewer they can be very tricky questions. Try googling job interviews or the most asked questions in job interviews and I am sure that you will find some information on what to expect. Like I said before, you seem to have a good head on your shoulders and I believe that being yourself is going to be your best bet...act natural and DON'T CHEW GUM!!! Believe it or not some people do and it is such a turn off.
Avatar m tn But just one comment. Workers comp is for people injured on the job. MS is not a job injury. Just let your lawyer handle this.

Avatar f tn They just have another person ask you the same questions. I didnt do a third interview maybe theu dont at the one i worked at? I donno, but he will, or should, know by the second one if he has a job bc at the end theyre like "ok lets sign papers and get you in the system" lol its pretty stright forward, then they give you papers on info at theclinic where youbare drug tested at, you have 24 hours to do it, its free they pay for it you just go n get tested.
Avatar f tn Soo I have a job interview in 2 weeks as a registered nurse. I am a new graduate and by the time they interview me, I will be 34 weeks pregnant. I feel so discouraged u guys. I know it's a turn off for recruiters to see a pregnant person applying for a nursing job ..at 34 weeks pregnant at that. This hospital is wonderful and I always wanted to work here. I'm contemplating whether or not I should even go. I'm so afraid to just be turned down.
Avatar f tn How long after my interview do you ladies think its a good time to let my Boss know I'm expecting?
4530757 tn?1358353386 So i got a letter in the mail yest saying i had a scheduled interview with the state next week. Heres my problem the job is really demanding and a few counties over plus im 31wks. When i applied to take the exam for the job i was not pregnant and it was over a year ago and i took the exam for the job over the summer a month before i found out i was pregnant so this is really unexpected!
Avatar f tn I'm 17 almost 18, and I'm 17 weeks pregnant. I also have a job interview at ardenes tomorrow. I havent decided whether I should or shouldn't tell them I'm pregnant or not. I dont want to be discriminated against for being pregnant, and if I wait for an offer then tell them, my pregnancy wouldnt of caused me to lose the position. Atleast if I didnt get it I would know it wouldnt be because of my pregnancy.
