Avatar n tn my grandmother is aged 85 yrs and has been told recently by one of our local doctors that she has an heart enlargement problem and advised to be on medication but havent briefed anything in detail about the severity of the problem, if exists. Has suggested to keep the intake of salt to the lowest possible. Pls advise if u need any technical terms of the problem or u cud give me some idea of what her situation is all about.
Avatar m tn I still suffer from excruciating cramp in my feet. Over the last 2 years I have built up the muscles in my feet and have increased flexibility with daily stretches and exercises but still suffer from painful cramp in my arches and toes. It seems to occur when my toes are pointed for long periods of time as I tend to tense my feet quite hard.
Avatar m tn I have flexibility issues in almost all of my joints (Knees, elbow, wrist, ankle). Coincidentally, all the joints in the right side of my body are worse. I cannot squat as the back of my feet cannot touch my butt, my hand cannot touch my shoulder, cannot do pushup as wrist will hurt a lot. I have done xrays but doctor said my xrays are fine. Went through physiotherapy but joints flexibility does not improve no matter how much i stretched.
Avatar f tn 00 a.m , he felt pressure and pain in chest with sweating in forehead. Within 40 min he was admitted to ICU. ECG was found normal, Trop T - negative. Monitored for 5 days while giving blood thining medicines. ECGs, B.P, Blood Sugar found O.K. Angina concluded. Today Doppler ECHO done. It was found to be O.K except for REDUCED LV COMPLIANCE. Please, can anybody tell me what does this signify ? Is something to worry much ? Your suggestions will be valuable a lot for us. Thanks.
Avatar f tn I found some at Kroger in the organic section. Do you have Kroger where you live? Also, I bet some of the health supplement websites sell it.
Avatar f tn had a huge energy bump and milk came in faster. The nurses commented on my supply of milk that we were able to take home from pumping. The down side of not getting treated is baby won't feed after delivery and thats whst happened with my first.

Avatar n tn My 80 year old mother had TKR surgery last week. She says when she stands or sits for any length of time, her foot hurts and she must lay down to relieve the pain. The doctor said this is typical because of blood rushing to the foot and recommended putting the support sock on. Has anyone else experienced this? Everyone is impressed with her flexibility and she's doing her exercises regularly but this pain has really gotten her concerned and regrets getting the surgery.

Avatar f tn Has anyone expressed and frozen colustrum before? I want to start pumping to donate breast milk for my friend's twins who are in the NICU. I'm due in 3 weeks but they need it now. I want to give my baby my colustrum to help her immune system get the best start possible since we live abroad in a place that has tropical diseases, so I'm wondering if anyone has done this.
Avatar m tn There was no need for any chemo or radiation since the tumor was well encapsulated. He engaged in all follow up tests and recent routine tests were all normal except his abdominal CT Scan showed some swelling in his bladder lining. All urine tests were normal - no signs of blood or infection...no sense of urgency to urinate or anything else unusual.
1194973 tn?1385503904 oh i think some prenatals can slow your supply so make sure and check with OB and/or pharmacist....so glad that you're settling in so well to your new mommy role sweetie!!
Avatar f tn I don't think mine check till labour, was a tad curious!
Avatar f tn Apparently leaking too early can bring labour on earlier because it releases oxytocin (I'm 36weeks with twin boys) I was freaking out because I was leaking at just after 20weeks and still to today it happens at least twice a week and nothing bad has happened
Avatar f tn It does effect milk supply if the baby catches group b strep during birth which will cause difficulty in feeding. Breast feeding is on supply and demand. Check out the file download from BMJ when you google symptoms.
Avatar m tn Hi Brad, I agree with nickppatel re the leg activity in water polo. I played water polo for 6 years in my late teens to early twenties (then joined the military) and I have a full understanding on the amount of leg work required just to play water polo, let alone being the goalie.
Avatar f tn However, I would call your obstetrician right now and check if you should go to hospital or to get checked to see if you are in labour yet, as if you were to deliver and the cord is around baby's neck you want some experienced hands on deck (and I would want baby to be monitored during labour for any signs of distress).
