When i was 11 a girl broke my right index finger at school and no one believed me when I said it was broken. So obviously it wasn't splinted or even buddy tapped. In the eight grade my mom took me to a doctor that told her that my finger did break and that the bone healed eight degrees off. After six months of trying to buddy tape it and splint it, the bone only moved two degrees. The doctor recommended surgery to pin and straighten out the bone and my mom decided on getting me the surgery.
Hello, i have a unique condition of trigger finger as i get it frequently and it's alternating between my hands and feet. I had three surgeries already on the two hands middle fingers. I saw many doctors but they don't know the reason for it or what causes it. it's not only a tendon lock, but i get it also with swelling and a lot of pain that i sometimes pass out because of it.
i'm 35 yo and don't have diabetes.
i fell down a month ago with not much injury except some pain in foot area near small finger..i massaged that area and felt a lot pain in both foot...xray shoed no hair crack nothing..now after a month also i get swelling on the foot(both) dr has given me diuretic for 3 days...what could be the reason.

While it is normal for most women, it also can be a sign of blood pressure issues. Your doctor will check this . My doctor monitored swelling. She'd put her finger into it and it pitted (imprint of her finger stayed for a bit), that was more concerning.

I'd have your dentist re-evaluate the situation.
For the problem you mentioned that your finger is pointing towards the pinky finger, there are some options like putting a brace to maintain the normal position. After a while, this brace can be removed.
Again, my advise is that you see a local physiotherapist to discuss your situation, and don't try any of the above suggestions on your own.
Yesterday I woke up and my hand (right little finger & finger next to it) hurt. I believe I slept with my fingers curled up tightly and thought it would just go away. But hurt all day and today it is swollen from little finger down along the outside of my hand and pain is much worse. I didn't hit my hand, so do not hink it is a broken bone....but I've had a broken thumb previously and pain & swelling are similar. Help!!!
Wow, you described me all most exactly with most of those symptoms. that's amazing! You said you had a finger swelling with pain. Was it one finger or multiple. I've had my middle finger in my left finger swelling for over a year now. The doctors said it was psoriatic arthritis, but it's just one finger (and yes I do have psoriasis which has gotten a heck of a lot worse and spread over the last year).
No neurofibroma will generally cause no harm. The swelling could also be a nerve ganglion. Both are harmless. Very rarely, if they increase in size too much will they restrict movement and cause pressure symptoms. Since the swelling has increased in size and causes pain on pressing, you should preferably get it removed and biopsied. Any swelling or tissue removed from the body is biopsied as a normal procedure.
5 wks ago, just sore on the inner knuckle, could not find any insect bites, no injury, no hang nail. Swelling went down after several days, then it came back with a vengence with severe swelling and lots of pain but this time only in the fingertip. The pressure was so intense that I tried to drain it, I know I shouldn't have. Nothing would come out. The pain was extreme and I did hot salt water soaks several times a day which was worse than any pain I have ever experienced!

My dad is suffering from some kind of disease or allergy that no doctors can identify what it is. He will randomly swell up in different parts of his body, sometimes it is due to irritation ( hiking=foot swelling, tight belt= waist swelling etc) and sometimes it is totally random. He's already had to cut off 2 wedding rings in fear of losing his finger because his hand was so swollen. And today his face swelled up so bad he couldn't see and we had to take him to the ER.
