about 6 months ago i started to experience pain in my right hand around the middle knuckle- but more the area between the pointer and middle finger from the base of the finger to the middle of the top of my hand. its often swollen and i noticed a bruise on the top of my hand in that area today. i had an xray when the pain started and they saw nothing.
I woke up 2 days ago (Saturday) with a bruise like pain on the inside of my right knee. It is slightly above where the knee bends, on the side of my leg though. It is very tender to the touch, feels exactally like a bruise when poked. When I looked for any marks for the pain there was nothing. However when I checked again later in the evening it had started to turn red. Now it is quite red and the area is about 3 inches in diameter.
Hard painful lum noted on top left hand below wrist and in line with index and middle finger. Very painful when bumped and with flexion. Pain with burning, throbbing to wrist, hand, and fingers as well. Same bump on right hand but not painful at present. Bump is firm and feels like bone. Any thoughts what it could be?

maybe it was a pinched nerve or something or the joint wasnt lined up .when i pulled on my finger it turned what seemed to be 360 .it made me a little bit nervous so i went home and told my parents and they took me to the hospital and it was xrayed and splinted .so in my case it was fractured.the splint kept it from breaking the rest of the way and it heeled nicely .there you have it the full account .

My thumb, index, and middle finger hurt the most, along with the tendons down my thumb. Since starting antibiotics it has improved slightly but it only got so better. Currently I'm on doxy and omnicef along with many supplements (mainly for my immune system). Will different antibiotics help better? I've tried pain meds as well as joint supplements without any relief. I've heard good things about teasal root and samento helping joint pain related to lyme. Any advice?
ve been having minor pain in the smallest joint on my fourth finger on my right hand. Because I work seven days a week during the school year, I never saw the doctor. But it started getting worse. It hurts, if my fist is closed, to bump the knuckle from above. It also hurts to stretch my fingers out (laying flat is okay, but if I try to stretch them at all, it hurts).
All of a sudden the piece of skin in between my thumb and finger has become stiff. I don't think it would be trigger finger but i might be wrong. It won't go either. What can I do? It's hard to stretch my thumb away from the hand and spread my fingers without it hurting.

1) i have a bruise in my middle right finger. it happened two days back when i was working out in the gym. kind of healed and have a scab. i inserted my finger into a womans vagina today. i felt the pain from the bruise and the scab came out and i can see the small wound with a small bruise. now the bruise is small and looks red. can i get hiv due to this bruise/scab and insering my finger into the womans vagina.

m a house painter and recently brought my hand down onto the sharp point of one of my painting tools. It cut into the side if my rt hand middle finger, middle joint (between the knuckle and the lower joint) It bled a bit and swelled up of course. That was over two weeks ago. I still have noticable swelling in that joint, especially on the rt side, and considerable pain. The rest of my hand hurts lately, probably from compensating for the lack of use of the middle finger. Any ideas?
I'm 28 and I have joint pain in my finger joints and I feel it in my wrists sometimes too. And in the digits of my feet (I think).
I have no RF in my blood and the doctor said just take Ibuprofen.
I am slightly over weight because of bulimia.
I've had gluten sensitivity problems (makes me sluggish and hungry).
AND labyrinthitus in the past months.
No thyroid problems. Not diabetic.
Feeling it might be Fibromyalgia ?

Involvement of joints manifests as polyarthritis ie involvement of more than one joint. The joint pain may migrate from one joint to another (migratory arthritis). Treatment includes long term antibiotic therapy with Penicillin and anti-inflammatory drugs to releive the joint pain and inflammation. You may want to consult an Internist or a Rheumatologist for a thorough evaluation.
When there is a capsular injury to a joint in finger, it is best to give the RICE treatment for a few days such as rest, ice application, compression bandage (you can strap the injured finger with the neighboring finger) and elevation (keep hands elevated on a pillow at bed time). You can also take an anti-inflammatory pain killer. Once the injury settles down and there is less pain you have to start physiotherapy.
What does concern me is that it appears as if my knuckle has sunken a bit, my finger is also quite stiff, and fully clenching it does cause minor pain.
I had initially planned on waiting a few days to see whether the swelling reduces and it is in fact just a bruise.
Should I go to the hospital, or should I just wait it out for a few days and see what happens?
I'm not sure if it's arthritis or not.
I have had general achiness and pain in my left hand for about 2 weeks. I attribute it to the onset of arthritis. I am 45 years old, female, overweight (by about 50 lbs). The problems is, I have bruising and discoloration on my knuckles but I haven't hit my hand anywhere. It started with the baby finger and it was a very purplish bruise and only around the middle knuckle to the end of the finger. It went away in 2-3 days.
