Avatar n tn It is best take suboxone while your already in withdrawal. Because if you have fentanyl in your system as you take the suboxone, the suboxone will kick out all of the remaining fentanyl in your system causing you to feel uncomfortable. So take the suboxon as your in withdraw. The physician that prescribe it would rather see you walk in the office in withdrawal mode rather than high mode.
Avatar n tn about 2 weeks ago had no oxy left snd i tried to avoid withdrawal with fentanyl patches. 2 of 100 and 1 of 50 but after the simptoms of w/d ended i took them of and put another when simptoms started and so on till this mondey when i finished all the patches i had. monday i had a hard w/d but sedate my self with xanax valium and carmabazepine i got on prescription. yesterday i felt better but i made in fentanyl iv with 10% of an old patch i used only 12 hours and today same.
Avatar f tn Went to my pain management Dr today after my experience of withdrawal from fentanyl patch. I have a kick *** team! My Dr was completely compassionate about my situation and the Hell i was going thru. Of course she did mention that she wished i would have called to let her know what was going on and she would have saved me from a an expensive ER visit but still understood my situation. She didn't get upset about my choice nor about the distruction of my fentanyl patches.
Avatar m tn In defense of my GP I am extremely sensitive to a whole bunch of meds and Fentanyl was a last resort. I can not take any form of NSAID's and any neuropathic treatment such as anticonvulsant or antidepressant sedated me to such an extreme it was intolerable even at paediatric doses. My issue is with the drug company who stated that stopping the patches could make me unwell?
Avatar n tn Fentanyl withdrawal can be very difficult. Call your doctor. They may be able to give you something that will make it a little easier. It's always best to talk to the doctor before stopping a medication so you can experience the least side effects possible.
369629 tn?1237812958 Hi Sharonanne: Sorry to hear of the dilemma with your Fentanyl Patch. Thank goodness you're not on a really high dose. Fentanyl is one, if not the hardest opiate to come off of so you're really going to have to be prepared. Your Doctor will most likely know what's best for your system to make it as comfortable as possible. I'm guessing that he thinks you don't need CP Pain Therapy anymore?? Or is it you that doesn't need the help??
Avatar f tn t have any choice as I had begun experiencing serious side effects (that could have killed me) from the patch (I also was on 50mcg), so I HAD to stop cold turkey. Even though my doctor switched me to another narcotic, the withdrawal from the fentanyl was horrible. Fortunately, I was already in the hospital, so they were able to really watch me closely and give me some medications to help, but it definitely was not pleasant.
Avatar f tn Your symptoms definitely sound like withdrawal from the fentanyl patch. fentanyl is a very powerful drug and can have some pretty severe side effects and sudden withdrawal from it can cause horrific symptoms.
Avatar f tn With fent I found the withdrawal period was much longer and more intense. What fentanyl dosage were you on? Why did you doctor refuse to fill?
Avatar f tn But I think the Fentanyl may be covering the hydrocodone withdrawal. Fentanyl is very strong and the withdrawals can be long and difficult. Maybe you are one of the lucky ones but it's possible that 'it just hasn't hit you yet. I found the first few drops of the Fentanyl were easy but the lower I got the harder it became. I hope you can escape them and find a way to manage your pain.
Avatar f tn I have been off fentanyl for about a week when is the pain going to end
Avatar f tn Well first of all I want to congratulate you on your attempt to get off the fentanyl. This drug is a very powerful drug and does more damage than you can imagine. FOR ME,.... I developed pancreatic problems and it doped up my mind so much, I had lost weight and had no idea. I was 150lbs before and my family doctor who I have known for 30 years want to do anything he can to help me with my pain, so he prescribed fentanyl 50mcg.
Avatar m tn ve read a lot on this and most of the people on Fentanyl take it more for recreational use but I do have issues from the cancer treatment. Oddly enough, I've been on Fentynal so long I'm not sure what I would feel like clean.
526311 tn?1229286330 Okay so I was given a script at the E.R. for Sub after I overdosed on Fentanyl. I was two weeks clean and I relapsed, used the same dose I did before, but since my tolerance was gone the Fentanyl made me stop breathing. Yeah, SCARY! My brother found me and called 911. They had to bag me and then they gave me that Naloxine or something to counteract the Fentanyl. Anyway heres the question: The doctor kinda knew me so he was really good to me. Gave me librium and clonodine, and Suboxone.
