femara ovulation

I took my last Femara pill on October 18. I bought some ovulation predictor tests from the Dollar Tree and took the first on October 20th. I was positive but I wondered if the Femara caused a false positive so I took another the next day and it was negative. I tested today and there was one line but it was so faint I could barely see it. Should I have gone with another brand?

ovulation usually occurs mid cycle if u have natural regular cycles. but if uv been on BC for so long ur body may take a some time to return back to its normal status.

After months of failed attempts trying the old fashioned way, and clomid, we finally got our BFP with the second cycle of femara. By the way the side effects of femara are way more tolerable than the awful side effects I would have on Clomid. Good Luck SSBD to you!

If your progesterone levels are not within the expected range with Femara, even when ovulation occurs, your doctor may want to supplement you with progesterone after ovulation. Progesterone not only helps with ovulation, but also helps to build the uterine lining. If the lining is too thin, it can cause the egg not to implant in the lining or can lead to early miscarraige. Regarding urine ovulation prediction, if the femara is going to work to get you to ovulate, your ovulation is most likely to happen 7-10 days after your last femara.

Is is a common thing to ovulate late on Femara? If so, how late is too late to hold out hope for ovulation?

I just used Femara on the first cycle and got pregnant my first round!Though my RE told me to BD around 4 days before ovulation and on ovulation day. We did about every nught before , during and once after and here I am at 6 weeks!I read somewhere that many women don't know that BD before ovulation increases your chances of getting pregnant also because the sperm can stay inside the woman's body for 4 to 5 days!Good luck and loads of Baby Dust******!

ve been charting my temperature too and it went up a little today, but not as much as usual after ovulation. If anyone out there has taken Femara or knows what to expect, I would really appreciate your thought and/or advice. Thank you so much!

Hi all. This is my second month on Femara. I just found this website today. I took clear blue easy digital ovulation tests. My first month on Femara I didn't get a positive OPK. But I tried again this month. We got a positive OPK on Friday which is really early for me! CD 10 - I usually Ovulate on CD 13 or 14. It is too early for me to do a HPT. I am going to an OB and not an RE yet. Dr. said he would refer us to the RE if this doesn't work. I am very hopeful that this month worked!!

I tried it since I had vision problems with clomid. Only side effect I had was breast tenderness. I still didn't ovulate but I did grow follicles - my next treatment cycle, my RE will have me take femara plus injections, then a trigger shot to induce ovulation. I think I'm in the minority when it comes to not ovulating on clomid or femara alone though, because almost everyone else I've heard that took either at least ovulated with it. I hope it works for you!

I had some medium spotting on 16th so I counted that as Day 1 of period as on a normal month thats what would happen, then started heavy bleeding on day 3 which is when I started the Fertility drug Femara.. Doc said I should of started the drug on the 19th..

I tested cd 13 and cd 14 it doesn't show ovulation ,do you think I am going to have ovulation ?? I'm very worry ,I stop my bd and waite for ovulation because I want the count of sperm be high ? because always I had a regular cycle and my ovulation was cd 12-13 even when I used clomid for 2 months. is it normal and healthy if my ovulation happen cd 15 or 16 or not??? thanks for supporting me.

candie429: Oh!! So Femara is the curprilt...no wonder I have been having these headaches since the last 2 days...yesterday's was intolerable...I applied Balms, seltp but it did not help. So gulped down 2 tabs and feel better today. Thanks for asking Sheri : Even though the baby is not attached, I have heard of some effects of some meds like Asprin, Aleve, ibrufen, etc on ur hormones, blood thinning/clotting, ovulation.

My Dr put me on Femara for the 3-7 day of AF . Was wondering if anyone has taken this drug and how long did it take to get pregnant?

I took femara after trying clomid unsuccessfully. I conceived on my second cycle of femara. I also had to have a trigger shot since I wasn't ovulating on my own (so you may want to look into that). I also had IUI. Good luck to you!

Dear friends, Do you guys think I have to do US when I take the letrazole or not?? actually last month I lost my chance because when I did US my ovulated have done before,so this month I don't want to do US and I want to do only ovulation test by kit is it ok or not?? what do you think about triger shot Do I need to do it or not because I always have a regular cycle and regular ovulation, so can I only take letrazole without US and Trgger shot ???

The 'ovulation pills" are clomid and femara. I way preferred femara, as it didnt have the same side effects as clomid and I am now pregnant after using it. Ask your doctor about these. Femara can make you ovulate earlier than usual (1 - 2 days earlier) Yes, they work. Both are taken for 5 days early in your cycle. I took mine from day 2 - 6. Others take them Day 3 - 7 or day 4 - 8, All depends on the doctor's protocol.

On the first try of iui with donor, they did it without femara and the trigger shot. But they informed me that they missed my ovulation and decided to put me on femara and on the trigger to avoid missing it again/ and having a better control of it. On the second try of iui +donor+femara+trigger shot: they informed that I might ovulated before the trigger shot because they notice that the follicules were too big .

and i always get the pain around O time with femara and especially with femara +injectables.. not sure if its just ovulation itself or the growing ovaries or a direct result of the endo getting inflammed.. but the cycles that i have gotten pregnant i have the worst pains it seems! where i could barely walk.. and urinating etc were really painful..I can usually feel my ovary (have one left) getting bigger and twinging before O time and then all over pelvic pains after O... Hi! I'll be taking femara 2.5 CD3-7 next week for superovulation. Has anyone had success with femara? I'm not counting on it to work after just 1 cycle, but I'm really hoping it will! Does anyone who has taken femara have any advice? Did you ovulate later than usual???? Any info you can give is appreciated!!!!!
