Avatar f tn I had a CCT and had slightly unfavorable results (Day 3 FSH 9.6, Estradiol 72, Day 10 FSH 16.1, Estradiol 482). We are planning to start IVF this cycle. During my baseline today, I had only 5 total antral follicles, and my ovary size was smallish. I am extremely discouraged. I started Acupuncture 3 weeks ago, and wish I had started sooner. Can in still help me conceive or have a successful IVF cycle with these results? Thanks!!

865758 tn?1285952904 Previous to that my OB/GYN diagnosed me with low estrogen. My estradiol level was 42. When my endo doc ran the TPO antibody test he also checked my testosterone levels and they have come back high. Does the thyroid cause all these other imbalances as well? My endo suggested peri menopause because of the Hashimoto's and I have all the symptoms but afraid that it is just the thyroid messing everything up.
Avatar f tn Hello, I was just reading about an older dog having a problem with urinary incontinence and the treatment she was given, particularly the possible side effects. My White Bearded Collie (13 years old) started being incontinent last year and my vet has prescribed INCURIN 1mg daily. This has been mostly effective (just the odd occurrence when she was asleep or distressed). I was just concerned that it may have some serious side effects such as those mentioned for the other treatment (PPA).
2002523 tn?1327612787 Hello, What you had was heavy bleeding and birth control pills is the first line of treatment. This watery discharge can be found and it should become better with usage. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar n tn re in the reproductive age group, Tamoxifen is still your primary option for hormonal treatment. For post-menopausal women who have breast cancer, and are estrogen receptor (ER) or progesterone receptor (PR) positive, switching from Tamoxifen to Aromasin would confer an advantage in terms of reducing the risk of cancer recurrence. The most common side effects associated with Tamoxifen are hot flashes, vaginal dryness, nausea and weight gain.
374593 tn?1257879950 I always thought that the estradiol was to make sure your lining was thick enough for implantation. Because I now the drugs like clomid can thin your lining making it impossible for the egg to implant. I could be wrong though.
Avatar f tn How long after a confirmed pregnancy are you suppose to continue taking Estradiol? Just read on the internet that it can cause birth defects and I can't reach my doctor to confirm this.
Avatar m tn I think there IS some hope for you - possibly there are Rx drugs or natural (herbal) supplements that might support a return to normal serotonin function. Try to find some psycho-sexual counseling along w/ a medical Dr. for treatment of this condition.

Avatar n tn I am on 200 mg prometrium /5 mg estradiol, and metformin as well as tirosint. The prometrium and estradiol is for hot flashes. The metformin for prediabetes, couldn't get my a1c down, and tirosint for thyroid disease. My question is this...the prometrium and estradiol are causing my blood sugars to stay high, as well as make me very tired, as well as making me gain weight. I walk briskly at least 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour daily. I watch what I eat, low sugars, etc.
Avatar f tn I have never had any blood work. Recently I have heard people talking about testing estradiol levels to confirm that the egg is maturing adn not just the follicle. I am wondering how common this is, and is it really nessesary. We know that my follicles are maturing and getting to a good size, is it possible that the egg inside them is not? Thank you so much!!
7649183 tn?1393014236 Menostar (estradiol transdermal system) 14 mcg per day - each 3.25 cm2 system contains 1 mg of estradiol. Vivelle-Dot® (estradiol transdermal system), 0.025 mg/day - each 2.5 cm² system contains 0.39 mg of estradiol USP for nominal* delivery of 0.025 mg of estradiol per day. Avatar f tn Hi! I just received the results of my day 3 blood test and learned that my FSH is 12.1 and my Estradiol is at 20. I'm really nervous about the FSH level and was hoping for some insight regarding our chances of getting pregnant and what type of treatment options we have. Also, is there anything to worry about with the Estradiol number? I know it's low but is there such a thing as too low? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!
922048 tn?1387942584 I found a tiny little mention on Wikipedia that women with POF were able to have their high FSH suppressed by treatment w/ethinyl estradiol and then were successfully stimulated with gonadatropins and ended up having LIVE BIRTHS! So I found the reference to the article and pulled it up from PubMed. (the NIH website with articles published in major med journals) Not only did I find the original article referenced on Wikipedia, I found MANY others!
