estradiol blood work

According to some extensive blood work I had done, I do not ovulate consistently. I have been blessed with irregular periods. However, we have been TTC#2 and I just finished the CCCT whereby I took 100mg of Clomid (first time) on cycle days 5-9. I had my blood drawn and both FSH and Estradiol levels tested on day 3 and again on day 10. The levels on 3/22/10 (day 3) were: FSH: 4.5 and Estradiol 59. The levels yesterday 3/29/10 (day 10) were: FSH: 9.7 and Estradiol 163.

s office- I had my day 3 blood work redone last week and just got the results- this is odd and she thinks my ovarian cysts have thrown off my nbrs and are interferring with stuff. My FSH is 1.6- yes 1.6. That doesnt sound right, unless there was a mistake at the lab. My AMH is .16.. that is low. She said after I get my laproscropy done we need to go to injectables. FSH and AMH usually go hand in hand, and the nurse commented that my last FSH of 10 isnt really congruent with my very low AMH.

I use what some consider a high dose of Estradiol (Vivelle Patch) and I use it to make sure my serum (NOT saliva) blood tests show I am in a range that if I had a period would put me at about day one or day two of my cycle. I want enough estradiol in me to make sure I can string a sentence together, avoid depression, have a sex drive, have better word retrival, have strong bones, less moodiness, have good heart function, no cramping in legs (the worst when I am low in my estradiol)...

hello friends! i was just checking in to see if you ladies would like to give me your opinion-- i'm on cycle day 9 and today i had an ultrasound and blood work. i was told i had several follies but they aren't >12 yet! i was also told my estrogen level was 198. for cycle day 9 i was told this is all sounding good--- i was instructed to do my gonal-f pen tonight and tuesday night and go back for B/W and US on wednesday morning. what are your opinions????? anyone with me here?

He had me on a low dose of Clomid (50 mg) with a trigger shot to exactly time ovulation. While I was going through my monitoring, (LOTS of blood work by the way) they found out that my estradiol levels were too low, which meant I had a very thin lining, so they put me on estradiol supplements. I think it all depends on the doctor, but mine at least put me on fertility meds even though they didnt' think the problem was with me.

I went this morning for blood work and u/s to determine whether or not I've O'd. I'm CD15 today. The u/s showed a follicle that was hazy, which nurse said means either I've already O'd or it's on it's way up to release. There was also fluid in my uterus, which is typical for O, I guess. Anyway, the blood work showed that my progesterone is 1.

t get my a1c down, and tirosint for thyroid disease. My question is this...the prometrium and estradiol are causing my blood sugars to stay high, as well as make me very tired, as well as making me gain weight. I walk briskly at least 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour daily. I watch what I eat, low sugars, etc. I'm very active, watching my 18 month old grand daughter, I'm NOT a couch potatoe. I am feeling so out of balance! Any suggestions?

For the last three months I have had an ultrasound to confirm a mature follicle and then a trigger shot to induce ovulation. I have never had any blood work. Recently I have heard people talking about testing estradiol levels to confirm that the egg is maturing adn not just the follicle. I am wondering how common this is, and is it really nessesary. We know that my follicles are maturing and getting to a good size, is it possible that the egg inside them is not? Thank you so much!!

I'm going to see my endo tomorrow and have already had some blood work done to see where my levels are after surgery. I'm 8 weeks post op and I had my Estradiol, Free T4, FSH, LH, and THS ran. I had a non functioning tumor removed. Is there anything else I should have ran? Thanks!

I personally found generic Estrace (micronized estradiol tablets) to work better for me than the patch. And a bonus is that it is a $4 (for 30) / $10 (for 90) prescription whereas I think I was paying $70 for a 3 month supply of patches.

Hi everyone, I am 25 yrs old and TTC. You'll have to forgive me I'm not familiar w/all the abreviations yet, lol! My Dr. says I am VERY fertile and is worried about fertility meds so she has been taking it very slow w/medications. I went through 2 rounds of Clomid but never had any follicle's mature.

got my results from my bw yesterday. progesterone is 75.16 and estradiol is 1900. nurse said numbers are looking really good and producing on my own. soo nervous and excited at the same time to find out. this is my 1st medicated cycle and hoping it worked, but not expecting it to. having cramps off and on so hope its implantation and not af. so on feb 27th i will have progesterone and estradiol rechecked and then quantitative pg test. fingers and toes crossed. gl to all those waiting and SSBD.

yes I had a total went thru it then and now the blood work I just had says I am going thru again! I sure can't afford to gain any more weight, I hope it does help, I got put on 5mg.

My husband and I are TTC our 2nd baby. No luck for 6 months. I had hormone blood work testing on Day 2 of my period. Tested for FSH, Estradiol, Progesterone, Prolactin, and TSH. I need help understanding the implications of my results which I think indicate an imbalance. I do not have a doctor yet, I just had the test done and sent to me. You are woefully low in Estradiol, which is the lab result I understand completely. I am on my way to work, but try to go to Dr. Elizabeth Lee Vliet's website where there are Radio Archives and other information. After reading my posts, you'll see why, in my opinion, her work is very helpful.

Now when I get them, I take note of it since it tells me that I may need to either increase my dose of estradiol or that I need to change my estradiol patch sooner... (I use the Vivelle patch.. a bioidentical estradiol transdermal patch). Years ago I had all of this checked out by a Cardiac doctor who told me I had benign tacycardia, but we did not discuss how ovarian levels of estradiol affects our heart and how palpatations can occur when things are not at optimal levels.

Some time has passed. How was the blood work. In general, just to answer your question, it should be fine. Your doctor knows you are on the pill and can account for hormonal changes based on that pill. Pills are normally estrogen, progesterone or a combination. She's checking other things.

I'd like to know what my blood test results may mean. I've taking diet pills (ephedrine/caffeine) for a few years. In last year my endurance has decline. About 8 months ago I started noticing Fatigue, memory problems, body aches and problems maintaining erections. I started taking pregnenolone and 7-keto DHEA thinking it would increase testosterone. I finally went to my doctor 2 1/2 months ago. He ordered blood tests.

I just had my 2nd blood test post a 3 day fresh transfer. In the past three days my beta increased from 186 to 534, but my progesterone and estradiol both dropped. Progesterone went from 93 to 73.3 and estradiol went from 520 to 503. Should I be concerned? I'm 15 days post-transfer. Thanks.

I have a question, can a symptom for perimenopause be low blood sugar, hypoglycemia? If so, how do you deal with this? Do I have to have a special diet? I already try not to eat excess sugar or white bread. I wake up nightly with the shakes and jitters which sometimes goes into tachycardia. I have a lot of anxiety during the day and so have been on clonazepam for a year and a half. . My eyesight is blurry most evenings and I have a slight cough.

Hi, my numbers were FSH 7.84 and Estradiol 53.9 in Aug 2009 when first tested. They were FSH 9.7, Estradiol 33, and LH 6.4 when I got tested in Jan of this year. Got pregnant on 2nd month of trying. Found some other results: TSH 1.09, FT4 1.26, and Prolactin 5.63. I'm 42 1/2 now. Good luck to everyone! SSBD!

If less than 60 years old and taking tamoxifen or toremifene, the blood levels of FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) and estradiol should be in the post-menopausal range. So for your case, you should have your blood levels for FSH and estradiol tested. If the levels are low enough, you could be considered as post-menopausal.
