epipen registration

m also allergic to several medications (antibiotics) and my doctor said I might need an epipen when I take them to keep me alive until I get to a hospital. Just about all antibiotics close my throat. But I thought epipens contained epiphenephrine, and was told by a friend that it's bad for those with a heart arrhythmia. Has anyone here with PVCs had to use an epipen for an anaphlactic shock reaction, and if so, was it safe for the heart? Thanks.

This weekend was horrible, I had two reaction to the water, on friday it was with rain, and had to give me 2 shoots of Epipen, and than I was better but shaking badly from the Epipen, and yesturday just by sweat I did a reaction and again the Epipen but just once, and I didnt even went to the hospital after, his that dangerous if I dont go???? And his it dangerous I have to many shoots?????

Hello I have severe reactions from insect stings especially bee stings. Its so bad that 1 or 2 stings will put me into anaphylactic shock. I have over 5000+ PVC's a day and the docs say it is a supposed benign condition. (which I do not believe). My wife has never had a pvc or palpitations. Anyways, I have to carry around a epipen everywhere I go. Last year I was working in my back yard and was stung twice, once in the face under the eye and once in my arm.

Epipen delivers a measured dose of epinephrine (also known as adrenaline) using autoinjector technology, most frequently for the treatment of acute allergic reactions to avoid or treat the onset of anaphylactic shock. In certain cases it can be used to stop local bleeding. Alternatively, the same drug can be given by the local health care provider or you need to go to emergency department.

I toured around 22weeks and I turned in my registration papers at 32 weeks. Im 35 now.

I am very allergic to bee and wasp stings to the point that I can die from a sting within about 1/2 hour or so. As a result I am suppose to carry an EpiPen with me at all times ( especially since there are a lot of wasps and bees around my home ). But despite this the couple of times I have been stung I have never been able to give myself the much needed shot. And to make matter worse I always have 2 reactions to each sting.

I am unable to see what the cost of registration is? I just returned from an interesting vacation and am totally exhausted (isn't that what vacations are for?), so maybe the registration fee is in bold letters on their website but I was unable to see it? Does anyone know what the registration fee is? Thanks for your help!

I was rushed to emergency, given benedryl and sent home 4 hours later. I got an Epipen for I was told, although rare, that I could have a secondary reaction within the next week. Sure enough November 5 I had a second reaction (bi-phasic reaction). I was given the epipen by my mother for I passed out and couldn't give it myself. Back to the hospital.

You may need an Epipen if it becomes more severe but in the meantime see a physician and buy some Benadryl.

Thanks ladies..tour is great if you never been to the hospital....pre registration is always good I don't want to be in pain signing all tbose documents!

Is anyone doing pre-registration at the hospital they plan to give birth at? And has anyone done it? What is your experience with it?

FTM here so how does hospital registration work like when do I do it and where do I go to get it done ? Any other paperwork I should worry about ? I already met and spoke with my pediatrician so that is done...what am I missing ?

I faxed my registration form on Wednesday and still haven't heard anything back. How will I know if they got it or not? I'm almost 33 weeks and starting to freak out!

So im 20 weeks nd my doctor has already given me my registration papers for the hospital but i feel 20 weeks is a little earlie to register im jus curious as to how many weeks where you ladies when you registered for the hospital

Has any of the hospitals y'all have or are going to told you that they don't do pre-registration for delivery? The hospital I am going to said that they don't do that and I'm thinking so you make women who are in labor sit there and fill out a bunch of paperwork before you taken them back. That is the craziest thing I have ever heard and was just wondering if any of you other ladies have heard that?

If It's on your registration list, I would wait It out until after the shower.
