In the past i have been diagnosed with moderate to severe eczema, treated with different concentrations of hydrocortisone cream but when i moved out of my old house and into a new one the rash pretty much disappeared. the problem is once every month or so my foot still gets extremely unbearably itchy and i'll scratch just a few times but it still destroys the top layer of skin, and it wont bleed but it weeps.
But NEVER itchy. The dermatologist says it is eczema and we went along with that. He has gone through tons of ointments. For the last few months it has just been a minor but consistent few small areas. Never goes away, has not flared up. We continue to use the latest lotion but the doctor warned us to not use it frequently because it could thin his skin? Yet we end up using it every night because the rash is always there.
I have got some fungal infection on my penis, which has been there for several months, itchy at times, not always, seems to be either ringworm or eczema, but not at all sure what it is. The skin is very dry on that part of the shaft, if I don't use any creamy or oily thing, the area gets broken at different places and those broken places get wet. What exactlt it is? Would you please suggest me any ointment/medicine?
This redness got worse and i was prescribed zinc actetate, which stung my skin. I went back to the doctor and was put on metronidazole 0.75%. When i stopped hydrocortisone and just used metronidazole my skin went very red, dry, itchy and slightly raised. My skin was also weeping and my eyes started to swell. I got quite scared and used some hydrocortisone which made the skin almost return to normal after just a couple of applications.
I then took a trip to my GP who diagnosed it as mild jock itch and prescribed a Nystatin Triamcinolone Acetonide ointment. I asked him if the rash was just a coincidence with the oral sex and he assured me that it wasn't anything to worry about. I have been on the Nystatin for about 2 weeks now. It keeps the rash at bay, and for all practical purposes it doesn't itch. As of now, the right side is very slowly getting better from what I can tell, but the left side seems to be the same.
I've had eczema in my ears for 15 yrs. It is very cyclical, starting w/intense uncontrollable itching, then clear fluid leaking from skin, followed by crusting over & flaking of skin in ears that is itchy in & of itself, leading to more scratching & picking at ears. The skin in my ears gets very damaged and ratty during outbreaks. I also have swelling of the ear canal after these itch/scratch episodes that are sometimes quite painful, & Motrin helps that. A month ago I developed a rash in both my groin folds with the random pimple. But it would never pop or crust over. I tried all the antifungal creams to try and cure the rash in the folds but nothin worked. I got diagnosed with a yeast infection then tinea. But none of the creams prescribed didn't work.
