1641357 tn?1470495393 Thank you so much! I thought my post was going to be lost forever! Okay, so I didn't get your post until today, and two days ago I did my own remedy and it worked!! This is what I did. Since my head get dandruff and was itchy just the same like my face almost I used Selsun Blue shampoo and washed my hair with it, I used to suds part of it on my face, which was probably kind of harsh, but it seemed to help the itchiness. After that I dried my face off and put Clotrimazole cream on it.
Avatar f tn Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Avoid using any lotions and creams over the face for the meantime. Wash your face with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Pat your face dry. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin.
Avatar m tn Also the best treatment of eczema is use of moisturizers which should be applied in a thin layer on the eczematous patch. Avatar n tn ive recently been getting red, dry itchy burning skin, and it appears in the same places all the time. in my eyebrows, the bridge of my nose, both my cheeks, and along my jawline on each side. it usually goes away for a while, but it always comes back. i took some pictures today if anyone would like to see them. it looks so horrible this morning that i had to stay home from work. it also goes into my gotee and moustache, turning them both red and burning, and also cause flaking.
Avatar m tn There is a sharp line on both cheeks demarcating the normal area from the affected area. I wash with cetaphil face wash and afterwards the areas are extremely dry and flaky. I'm thinking its either eczema or seborrheic dermatitis? Any advice would help! I have seen my GP and he advised me to stop using anything for a week and to come back and see him. He hasn't made a diagnosis yet.

Avatar f tn Someone posted a while back about having problems with the skin cracking around their eyes as if their tears were burning the skin - but I can't remember who that was. I'm posting this in case the following information might help that person or others who are having similar issues.
Avatar n tn Avoid using the cellphone in such a way that it rests on this side of the face. Also, try to avoid sleeping on this side, as your face may be irritated by the pillow's surface. Avoid any known triggers and continue using the hydrocortisone cream. The steroid is mildly potent so this may be safer to use over the face. Just apply thinly over the area. Avoiding the triggers is the main step to prevent recurrences.
Avatar f tn My 1 1/2 month old has developed a rash on his face (majority on right side) it didn't look like it's bothering him but is this normal?? I also been looking up some stuff on the internet and I came across baby acne....any opinions??
Avatar f tn I have this red rough and itchy patches on my face on and off. It will get better and seem to go away only to come back. I have tried to see if I was allergic to something but I cant figure it out. It itches and burns and nothing I put on it helps. The doc put me on antibiotics for 10 days and it helped alittle but came back. My skin will flake after it starts to get better and then it will start all over. I thought maybe rosacea but I am not sure.
Avatar n tn I had a patch on my chin about the size of a dime which itched and peeled on occasion. It seems where my skin is irritated another developes. I now have 7 in the chin area and two near my eye brows. I literally could itch my face off but I am religious about putting Vit. E, dry skin lotion and the MD gave me fungal meds which have not helped. They have left dark spots on my chin which I can't conceal. Any ideas.

Avatar f tn They usually give it for things like eczema or psoriasis- if the spots were white it sounds like it may have been psoriasis, which can be a life long condition in some cases. I'd give your doctor a call to clarify the condition you had and let them know the spots have returned.
Avatar f tn I have what I believe is eczema on my face and it's red and itchy and I really just want to get rid of the redness and its very embarrassing to go anywhere!!!! I haven't been to a doctor because it comes and goes sometimes I don't know why and I just need something to get rid of the redness I'm visiting my dad and I don't want to go anywhere because it's just a red blotch around my mouth and Lower cheek...
Avatar n tn Okay, it does have its similarities to eczema in looks. But why only my face? Usually its on arms and legs. It doesnt get dry like eczema either. I just use a regular bar of soap on my face just like I always have.
Avatar n tn When i woke up in the morning i looked at it and a rash, consisting of small, itchy, red bumps, had appeared on the knuckles of both my pointer fingers. It has been about 4 days now and the rash has spread up my pointer fingers, to the next knuckles, down the side of my hands and to my elbows. I have had a slight history of eczema, however, it was on my neck area and i have not had a flare up in about 3 years.
Avatar n tn I have had eczema all my life, and over the past year it became severely worse, I was seen on regular intervals by a dermatology specialist, and the eczema which was covering over 90% of my body has been kept at bay from several creams and 6 months on 60 mg ciclosporin tablets. I also had a patch test done and was told i am allergic to nickel. I am still having check ups with my dermatologist every few months however, i wanted to get a second opinion on something in particular.
Avatar f tn Since that time I have confirmed Eczema in my ears and on my scalp. Although the ears and scalp are annoying the spots on my face are really bothering me. I work in a professional environment and even with makeup they do not look very attractive. Prior to this rash/spots on my face showing up, I was vacationing in the Caribbean and they have not gone away. Is there anything I can do? They are dry like Eczema but very red in colour and hard to keep hidden. Any suggestions???

Avatar n tn I have a rash on my face it is quite itchy, it is a light pinkish red. Could you tell me what it could be and what things i can do to make it less itchy?
Avatar m tn The type of medication prescribed will depend on many factors, including the type of eczema, past treatment, and the patient’s preference. Topical (applied to the skin) medication like mild steroids(hydrocortisone)to higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide) is frequently prescribed. If the eczema is more severe, phototherapy (a type of treatment that uses light therapy) or systemic (circulates throughout the body) medication like oral steroids may be prescribed.
Avatar n tn Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes flaky, dry, white to yellowish scales to form on oily areas esp under the nose or anywhere on face. People with seborrheic dermatitis produce too much sebum (the natural skin oil). I suggest you to get it evaluated from a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar f tn Target has a generic aveeno white bottle brown cap in the lotion section. Oatmeal baths. The steroid cream is NOT to be used on pregnant women unless the risk outweighs the problem.... I have to put it on my lil man and read the bottle after the first time putting on him and now make my husband do it just in case. The lotion works pretty good. The Dr said you can use crissco, Vaseline, auqaphor... However it's spelt.
