Avatar n tn Try an oatmeal bath and some baby aveeno eczema lotion, if that doesn't give you relief ask the doc
Avatar f tn We eventually found out that it was a food allergy causing the eczema. Aveeno lotions and washes work great.
1486289 tn?1315842255 ve found the aveeno line of products to be EXTREMELY helpful and it has helped us to minimize the use of topical steroids. Aveeno does make a line of products for infants. There is also an infant eczema cream tho I'm not sure of the brand..it's in a pale green and white tube though.
Avatar f tn Have you tried the avveno eczema soaps?! My daughter has eczema and thats all I can use on her without her breaking out.
Avatar f tn There's this lotion for eczema, & its in a bottle with whinnie the pooh on it (even if its not eczema the lotion still works good) idk what its exactly called tho
2170635 tn?1357911686 m racking my brain as my oldest had this and now has full blown eczema. The face makes me think not eczema tho. If its red or irritated stop any soaps, lotions, cremes. Eczema is best defeated by changing your soaps to hypoallergenic.... Including laundry soap. To me it honestly sounds like normal baby acne just a little extreme. Make a list of what you've tried and call your doctor. My son often needed a steroidal creme as an infant to kick things like this.
334090 tn?1203804738 My son had eczema all over his face and I used vaseline every day, I would caution against anything with cortisone at that young age, long term use does have side effects.
Avatar n tn Hi I have a severe case of eczema. I flare up extremely bad on face and neck in the winter. Also when I sweat excessively I itch. Is there any help or products I could use to keep me from looking like a frosted flake in the winter months?
Avatar m tn Aveeno oatmeal bath works awesomely well to. I have used it for all of mine because eczema runs in the family.
Avatar f tn My son had eczema. I used eczema lotion I think it was aveno along with eczema otemeal baths. It's a powder that comes in little packets you put in the bath water. I also used dreft baby detergent and organic sent free soap for the bath. Also don't bathe baby too often that will dry the skin out even more.
768015 tn?1333652075 I am 32 weeks and since around my 20th week my stomach became very itchy and the rest of my skin became very dry. I just use Vaseline cocoa/shea butter on my stomach and Aveeno for on my face and hands and it seems to be helping a lot. I guess you have to find the cream that will work for you. But do try and stop scratching (as I'm sure many people have told you before).... if you must "scratch" try and rub your skin - don't scratch.
6498330 tn?1389709379 My niece had horrible skin sure to eczema and aveeno cleared it right up within hours.
Avatar n tn I have suffered eczema my entire life and I have grown very frustrated about relying on prescription steroidal treatments (ie: Elocon). My eczema is stubborn - it is constantly reappearing, causing me to use the Elocon far too often than I should be, but because it is so effective, I use it over and over. Is there something I can buy over the counter that actually works? My eczema is the kind that cracks, blisters, weeps, etc...it is not just red and irritated skin! Please help!

Avatar f tn Upu can use the Eucerin baby stuff too! Its super gentle but specially formulated for eczema. Aveeno products also work great, be careful with essential oils, some are not safe to use during pregnancy.
Avatar f tn You won't cure eczema, you can just reduce flare ups.
9041091 tn?1410417329 To help with eczema get some Cortizone Eczema Lotion. Its betweeen $8-$10 a bottle.I ewas instructed not to put ANYTHINGthat has a scent to it on my sons skin becabecause it makes it worse and sunscreen has a scent and I've never heard of that helping either.
Avatar n tn My child has worsening itching, dryness and redness around her inner knees and elbows, with additional patches around her thighs, armpits and neck areas due to her eczema. I put moisturizers (aveeno) and hydrocortisone, but it just doesn't work. I have seen my friend's kid use prescription steriod ointments (i.e.desonide) and it seems to help, but what are the long term side effects?
Avatar f tn My almost 3 year old has had a rash or some sort of dermatitis on his face for about 2-3 months now with little to no improvement. It started out as bumps. Not scratchy or rough or anything, Just small pink bumps. If I remember correctly, they were contained in a pink patch, almost like an eczema patch. I didn’t think much of it, and it seemed to flare in the heat and be fine otherwise. The bumps were even a little hard to see. That was in August.
Avatar f tn Use Aveeno lotion. It really helps. They also have cortisone for eczema relief. My husband has eczema and his feet get so dry and cracked. He sometimes uses diaper rash cream too. Poor baby, hope you find relief soon.
Avatar n tn My daughter is almost 12 months old. She started this rash on her forehead and some on her cheeks last two weeks. I first thought it was heat rash or that she was allergic to something. Now, the red rash have turn into dry skin on her face. It sound like it is eczema, but i'm not sure.
Avatar f tn When I wash my face it gets really red but I thought that was nornal because I Wipe my face really hard to get rid of the dirt! I just want to know whats happening. I ca not say that there are patches but, my facial color is normal but the irritated skin color is like two shades lighter than mine. It is very noticable. Avatar n tn For the past couple months I've noticed that my eyelids have been unusually dry and itchy - Now they are constantly peeling (both the upper and lower lid) and still very itchy and super red (it looks like I've been slugged in the eyes). I read online that I should do a warm compress and then scrub the skin with baby wash and then use aveeno, but that hasn't been working at all - I'm so embarrassed by it, I don't like going out..
