Avatar f tn I'm a 19 year old female, and have had reoccurring eczema on my elbow creases and neck for the past few months. My GP told me the most likely cause is lactose, so I am now avoiding eating dairy products (for almost 2 weeks now). I have eczema on my eyelids which I tend to scratch when I sleep, I have been putting Sigmacort cream on it but it doesn't help. Is lactose causing the eczema on my eyelids? Is there a short-term fix to the eczema on my eyelids?
Avatar f tn s last week for a hug spotted rash on her torso. After a few days, it went to the top of her buttocks, neck and elbows. A few months prior to that, my 16 month old son was diagnosed with Eczema and the doctor just told me to use the over the counter Eczema cream for babies. So, when this same rash appeared on my daugther, I used this cream, but it continued to get worse.
Avatar f tn Any part of the body may be affected by eczema symtpoms. In children and adults, eczema classically occurs on the face, neck, and the insides of the elbows, knees, and ankles. Are there other signs or symptoms present? The symptoms you mentioned points to eczema. If these lesions are infected, this may indeed cause the additional symptoms you have observed. It may help to have some blood tests done to rule out renal causes to alleviate your anxiety.
Avatar f tn performed oral on my partner about 2 weeks ago, my doc said it was tonsillitis and gave me antibiotics. But in the last 2-3 days I've noticed I have 3 bumps coming from the back of my neck to my ear. Both my partner and I haven't been intimate with anyone else but each other. Is it possible to get an Sti still? Are there any other things that could possibly be wrong? I do have eczema and allergies, but I've not seen anything on my neck like that before.
495402 tn?1220617403 Looks like I've got eczema on the back of my head and my upper neck, my doctor told me yesterday that it's most likely a side effect from the Hep C medication, which is all well and good but how to I get rid of it. Where it's on my scalp, under my hair, I can't put any type of ointment on it. Last night my boyfriend put some of his eczema salve on my neck and it did seem to stop the itching for a little while.

Avatar f tn Lichen Simplex Chronicus is seen in people with eczema. It is non contagious. It is treated like chronic eczema by decreasing water and soap contact, and applying emollients. Topical steroids are almost always needed to control the symptoms. You can use mild steroid cream like Dermacort and if the symptoms persist then high potency steroids and oral steroids may be needed. My sincere advice would be to consult a dermatologist to get the diagnosis confirmed.

However I have had no paid just itching. 6 weeks later it seems to be clearing up but very little.
Avatar n tn That's exactly how my eczema started. I had patches on one eye after about 3 months of moving to Los Angeles. (Is it the dryness? Dust?) And then, it turned so horribly bad, I saw three doctors. The second one gave me steroids, it went away insanely quick, and then came back, worse than it was before. The third one gave me Elidel. It's not a steroid, and it works. There is still a little eczema on and around my eye, but I can live with it (though I hate it.
271399 tn?1242830135 Hi, The neck rash could be due to several causes. He would need to see a skin specialist to rule out eczema, sweat dermatitis, heat rash, acne, folliculitis, impetigo, even lupus, etc. Does he wear any ornamental jewellry in the neck? He could take some oral antihistamine or antiallergic medications like loratadine or cetrizine and see if it helps with his symptoms. Apply calamine lotion at the site of the lesions to help soothe the itching. What other symptoms is he having?

Avatar n tn I have been to the dermatologist 6 or 7 times. I have a skin problem on my neck where I shave and also below where I shave. It itches and gets red on and off. I have been on a number of different antibiotics. I have tried antifungals, tea tree oils, and taking vitamins. It has gotten better but it has made a crease in my neck and never goes away completely. I have taken the antibiotics which treat staph, strep, and other antibiotics such as minocycline and doxycycline.
