Eating healthy but not losing weight

Common Questions and Answers about Eating healthy but not losing weight

eating

Avatar f tn It takes effort and educating your self on which foods are healty and which foods are not healthy. I am almost 70 years old and did not even try to eat healthy until I was in my mid 30s.. I developed high blood pressure then and was sort of forced to change my lifestyle.. In my mid 50s I started developing some health problems related to my earlier lifestyle... I was able to deal with them easier since I had changed my lifestyle earlier... however the problems were still there..

Avatar n tn For your height and age suggest eating 1600-1800 calories per day 5-6 times a day. By eating frequently (within the calories per day), you will lose weight. Recommend a Heart Healthy diet to eat which is a moderate fat diet. Moderate fat diet means = use polyunsaturated (omega 3, corn oil, nuts, etc) fats and monounsaturated (olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, etc) fats, no saturated fats (high fat snack foods, butter, fat spreads) and no trans fats.
Avatar n tn s keeping you from losing weight. By eating regular meals, you can better incorporate a mix of vegetables, protein, whole grains and healthy fats into your diet. Snacking, typically, ends up being fruit, candy bars, crackers, sandwiches, chips and all the things that aren't so good for you and tend to make you, either, gain or hold onto weight.

Avatar m tn 5) when I became pregnant, but I was exactly healthy. I was drinking tons of coffee, soda, and eating lots of fast food. I started immmediately the healthy track when I found out. Everything I read stresses so much that I gain weight, I wonder if I should really be that concerned since I do eat and my belly does keep expanding. I also did not have any morning sickness to cause a weight loss.
Avatar f tn Ive lost 3 lbs. I have no morning sickness yet. Mine is just from eating really healthy and chasing my 8 months old around now that she is crawling. As long as you are eating healthy when you can get food down you should be fine. :) I would still bring it up at your first appt so they can monitor you! Congrats tho!
4193337 tn?1355698372 t stopped eating or anything but I do force myself to drink lots of water and am back to eating tons of fruit. Is this safe that I am losing weight? This is my second pregnancy and I know during the last few weeks you can lose a few but I am still a ways away from that. Any thoughts?
Avatar f tn I thought pregnancy was ALL about gaining not losing weight...anywho this is my third pregnancy and its never happened before.

Avatar f tn It depends on your original size for how worried they will get. Mine is caused by losing weight due to eating healthier and not drinking soda anymore.
11696213 tn?1420470907 Anyone else losing weight? Im not throwing up or anything. I actually feel fantastic dont feel pregnant at all. Im a bigger girl and have been eating healthy (more then usual) and im dropping weight like crazy. Im down 15 pounds. Should I be concerned?
Avatar n tn Gradually increase the amount of food that you are cutting down. Once you are accustomed to eating a smaller amount, try to begin eating a little healthier. While you are getting healthy, it is important to exercise as well. Always check the ingredients, calories, fat, carbohydrates, and vitamins of the food you buy. Do not get frustrated if you do not see results immediately. The goal is to lose weight gradually.
Avatar f tn I'm about 13 weeks and keep losing weight. Not sure why. I eat, but i know I'm not getting the calories I need. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables mostly because that's what's sounds good. I'm also eating a lot of protein too. Anyone else experienced weight loss?
Avatar m tn Man! I was about to post the same thing! I'm almost 50, 5'4" and began attempting to lose weight about 5 weeks ago. When I started, I weighed 140.7lbs. (For the past year or two, I haven't worked out and have eaten whatever I wanted...although still pretty healthy overall, and I've always stayed in the 140.7-145 range.) (About me: I never weighed over 100lbs 'til my 30s. I never exercised and ate whatever I wanted, although I did lead an active lifestyle.
Avatar f tn Thank you I'm glad to know its not just me. I was told that it can affect how much weight I gain but that doesn't bother me I just want my baby to be OK.
Avatar f tn And im now 25weeks and so far I only gained 7pds but my dr. Is not worried as long as ur eating and the baby is healthy everything will be ok.
Avatar f tn Has anyone not gained any pounds at all during there whole pregnacy?? Just a bit concerned. I don't vomit I eat little snacks during the day and I feel great. But just not weight gained. So just wondering if it seems ok?
Avatar n tn Fighting through the sluggishness and fatigue of hypothyroidism is difficult, but adding daily exercised can be a great aid in losing weight. If you aren't currently exercising, start with an easy walk. Get plenty of rest. The National Sleep Foundation reports that people who sleep less than 6 hours each night have a higher body mass index than people who sleep 8 or more hours.
Avatar f tn Im 126 pounds and im a kid and im trying to loose this b3cause my dodctor said im overweight so im trying to be 80 pounds
2087488 tn?1332582128 For a dog not to want to eat, and to be losing weight, then it's my feeling she DOES have a medical condition. The sooner you find out what's wrong with her the better. She needs to see the vet as soon as you can take her. I would take her Monday. A healthy dog who is exercised normally, will be hungry for food, and will eat. OK there are some exceptions....for instance, a dog who has been brought up to eat only human food all its life, might turn up its nose at kibble.

Avatar f tn Im eating but losing weight and have not thrown up at all. Is this normal? The first time i went to the dr i was 176lbs average body size... And now almost three weeks later i am down to 170lbs. Yes ill admit i am drinking water and only water.
Avatar f tn m mainly going off of how others lost the weight, but I do know that losing a lot of weight very quickly is unhealthy which is why I set the year or so timeline. I don't expect to be exactly on target then it is just a reaching goal. I've checked the charts and the average rate for my height and age is 120 to 145. I've used to be very small and gain weight quickly when I hit my teens and haven't been able to lose it.
