It seemed that just the inner part (toward the nose) of the eyelid was red and swollen but the skin above my eyelid has also drooped over my lid. The redness is gone and although my eye still feels like something is not quite right and the lid is a little more dry than normal, it looks all better except for that drooping skin. Is that due to swelling? Will it get better? I am only 24, so I don't think that skin should be drooping already (& on just one eye).
"I was diagnosed with dry eye I received drops, received instruction wipe the lid in the morning with the eyelid scrub wipe to prevent infection and use a warm compress and massage my eyelid just above my eyelashes. My eyes aren't tearing anymore and I wake up with the whites of my eye white and clear they aren't tearing anymore.
I have dry eyes in both of my eyes. However, I feel pain coming from top eyelid of my right eye when I gently touch it, and feel pain when I blink. The pain is in one spot of the top eyelid. The pain spot it the to right hand corner of the right eye (corner away from the nose).
Keep in mind that the pain is in one single spot of top eyelid. Meaning, if I gently touch any other part of top eyelid of the right eye, I DO NOT feel any pain.
t hurt but is uncomfortable for my eyelid crease when my eye is open. If i worry about it, the swelling increases and takes over my entire eyelid. I take phenergan which knocks me out and sleep it off or another antihistamine. It usually goes within a couple of hours but for swelling of my whole eyelid usually takes a day until the puffiness has gone. I have a cough at the moment and the doc says it is caused by asthma as the cough is dry and no cold symptoms or anything.
it was on February that i felt that every morning i had dry eyes and irritation became worse and i went to ophtalmologist and he gave me predforte and the dryness got better but my eyelid were swollen and i also noticed that whenever i go under outdoor heaters this swelling becomes worse even if i'm sitting far away from the heater and i don't feel the heat!!
I went to optician and he said I had bacterial conjunctivitis and gave my drops to get rid of infection and drops for dry eye. I went back after a week and the infection had gone but the peeling stringy bits was still there but he said that it was due to allergies and gave me allergy drops that sting my eyes so I haven't been using them. I have noticed that I have two little lumps on the inside of my upper eyelid.
Several months ago I started using make up again, had no problems, and then out of the blue, again, my left eyelid got swollen, then red, then itchy and then scaley. The skin on my eyelid is so stretched now that even when it's not swollen, it droops over my eyelashes. I went to see an ophtalmologist again recently, but he said he it was probalbly from sleeping on my side (which I did not really buy).

At first my upper right eye lid was very dry and flaky with no itching. Then it gradually started to swell up, turn red, dry up and itch like crazy. I've never had this issue and its lasted a month already! I am not allergic to anything and have been using the same make up as I always have.
Upper eyelid is swollen, with dilated pupil ( not maximum dilation, but can be spotted), and now alsa eyelid spasms, there were also small internal hordoleum on.
Pressure Left is 14 after steroids (Doctor nr 2), Right 13. Refraction L +0.25 , R -0.25
Dry eyes.
Antihistamin drops and tablets didn't work, steroids also. Now I do blephasol (2x day), and helped with disappearing hordoleums.
But I still have big discomfort, and it disturb my day.
Again on the outside of the lid, not underneath. My eye does not itch, is only mildly red, and just a little bit swollen, my lower eyelid became very dry and flaky. I am a nurse and I asked a PA what he thought they were and he said styes. I don't know if I believe his diagnosis. I thought styes only developed around the inside of the eyelids? I have been treating my eye with Tobradex ointment, and massaging the ointment into my eyelids. Also, I have not been wearing any eye makeup.
September 2009, after washing my face and eye feeling irritated, I woke up to a swollen eye. I left it thinking it will settle down by itself. Shortly after I seemed to develop Palsy. The Palsy was intermittent. I had a CAT scan. I was put on Cortisone tablets. This did not help. Then I had to endure a long course of cortisone injections. The Palsy stopped. The upper eyelid became drooped. I was told this was due to nerve damage from the Palsy. However, my eyelid continues to be swollen.
About three to four days ago my eye began to feel like I had been punched in the face on the left side. I woke up the next morning to find a swollen eyelid, and a few lumps about the size of a piece of rice to a pin head. I gave it a day then went to the after hours where they gave me drops. Its since been two days and it gets more swollen everyday, today being swollen shut. The outside is purple and red and the inside is bright red and the lumps are growing.
These are problems that need attended to by a real eye exam.

Last December i noticed on my left eyelid there was a small patch of dry flaky skin. I thought that just because it was winter my skin was more dry. About a month or two later both my eyelids go very swollen, irritated and red, especially along my lash line. It was so bad i couldn't wear any makeup at all and i was constantly scratching and rubbing my eye lids all day. After a month I finally talked to my uncle who is a doctor and he prescribed 1% hydrocortisone cream.
the minute red bump has gone(disappeared). BUT THE REGION 0F EYE LID NEAR MY INNER EDGE HAS SWOLLEN A LITTLE, AND MY EYELID IS CREARLY BECOME VERY ERECT AND INVISIBLE. Lately I have had a problem that started off as a dry patch on my right eyelid that lasted for a week. Than one day I wake up and my whole right eye is swollen shut. I immediatly put ice on it and go up to the hospital. The provider told me it was a bug bite and prescribed me benedryl. Well just when I thought all was fine two day later I wake up to both eyes swollen shut. Again I immediately put ice on it and go to the hospital.
I worn contacts sometimes, but when my vision got bad again I stopped using contacts. Since this summer, I noticed my left eye lid have been swollen. I have been told by my second doctor that that was because of allergies. She prescribed me anti-allergy drops but it didn't help. She also advised me warm presses, and it didn't help. However, now I switched back to the first doctor, she said that the swollen eye was due to the damage on my cornea.
I've had 4 operations in the last 9 months for retinal detachment. After the first 3, my eye would always recover properly. The last operation which was done December 5th 2008, went well according to my doctor. I went to Africa for a little over a month to travel with family in January. i was diagnosed with bih in 2006 and ive been in and out of hospital since i was put on diamox xmas 2006 and i came off it noz 2007 and so far all has been fine no headaches anything and i noticed over the weekend that my left eye ball seems swollen compared to the right my eye lid is covering more of my left eye due to it being swollen. there is no pain or blurred vision or anything really and i just wondered if this could be anything to do with raised pressure again?
its usually redder than my right eye and my upper eyelid gets itchy and swollen randomly time to time, I tried Allaway but it didn't help, I also use a lot of Artificial tears and Gels so I'm sure its not from dryness. I went to the doctor and he said he would like to try Alrex and Restasis on me, but its very expensive and I'm afraid it won't work like Lotemax didn't 1 year has passed from the time I had GPC and it doesn't seem to have got any better.
Over the last six months i am having recurrent swollen eyelid, only one eye at a time but can be either eye, usually lasts 1 or 2 days, only upper eyelid, no pain, itchyness, blurry vision or bloodshot eyes. Had reoccured every 2-3 wks, have had 9wks now when it hasn't happened, and yesterday it reoccurred. GP has tested for thyroid problems, all clear. I looked up some pictures and I found out that my eyelid resembles one that has blepharitis but my eyelashes and tears are fine, it just looks like it. I woke up this morning and my eyelid was very dry and slightly itchy, but when I checked in the mirror, I had several creases in the lid and my entire eyelid was tremendously swollen. The rash that was originally only around my eyes had also migrated towards my entire face and I can also feel it develop on my back.
