Avatar n tn The school he goes to drug screens him and it has always come back positive for PCP. No other drug screens - the criminal justice system or the hospital's test are positive for anything. Could any of his meds be the reason that he is showing up positive. He is not acting out when he has the positive screens so I have to believe it is the combination or one of the meds but the school believes otherwise. Help!
1508698 tn?1360215710 Hi all!! I am looking into going to a outpatient rehabilitation center. I was wondering if anyone here has ever gone, what all it included, if you liked it, and the price. Just wanted some input from people who have gone so I will know what to expect.

What will be the best for him....
Avatar m tn Would he have learned anything in prison, something like rehabilitation? Probably not, but at least he would have been incarcerated and not able to be involved with this. Where do situations like this leave us? This kid didn't learn anything from his first scrape with the law. Chances are, this won't be his last either. He'll do some time for this, but when he gets out his gang will give him "props" and he will have garnered more respect from his fellow gang members.

Avatar n tn He now has scoliosis because of poor posture, massive headaches and ear aches, hallucinations, and other problems due to being depressed and given up. We really want to find a home where he can be among people with the same rehabilitation challenges. It would be ideal if the home offered psychologist and a physical therapist; however, even if the home had one or the other it would be better than his situation right now. He just sits at home doing nothing.

His friend came to us telling that he needs help asap. We sent him to the residential rehabilitation center next day. He tells me that he is happy to be there, he wants his life back. He is been in rehab for 5 days. Please someone explain to me, is that what he really think? How long should take rehabilitation process for the best result?

Avatar f tn Just in case you are curious, it takes us three to four days to detox a patient and get him/her back home drug free and feeling well on Naltrexone therapy (no opiates). Tapering down slowly is the best way, but you may still experience withdrawals. Avatar n tn I have had several surgeries in the past two years and as such, have been on some pain medications - namely oxycodone and percocet (which I understand is a combination of oxycodone and tylenol?) The last time I was at my rehabilitation physician's office, she thought it was time that we "wean" me off of those things and she wrote a script for Vicodin. I have tried it, but I really don't care for it.....
