Avatar n tn m Lori and one of my degrees is in counseling with a specialty in drug and alcohol abuse, my other degree is in criminal justice. So, in the past I have worked with lots of alcohol and drug addicts, who were on parole. Your brother has a drug problem. I'm assuming he is age 18 or over? He is only making his pain worse by the use of these two deadly drugs, especially when used in combination.
Avatar m tn If my wife had given me free room and board, let me be as mean to her as I wanted, and there were no consequences to my drug abuse, I would be dead today. You can ask around here, I am not a bad person or of low moral character, I am an addict. When people say you are enabling your man, it means you are part of his problem. He may blame you, and he may be partially right, because he wouldn't be able to afford as many drugs or have good enough health to get as high as he does without you.

424839 tn?1268186246 People who currently engage in the illegal use of drugs are not protected under these non-discrimination laws, except that individuals may not be denied health services (including drug rehabilitation) based on their current illegal use of drugs if they are otherwise entitled to those services. Avatar n tn The school he goes to drug screens him and it has always come back positive for PCP. No other drug screens - the criminal justice system or the hospital's test are positive for anything. Could any of his meds be the reason that he is showing up positive. He is not acting out when he has the positive screens so I have to believe it is the combination or one of the meds but the school believes otherwise. Help!
1508698 tn?1360215710 Hi all!! I am looking into going to a outpatient rehabilitation center. I was wondering if anyone here has ever gone, what all it included, if you liked it, and the price. Just wanted some input from people who have gone so I will know what to expect.
684676 tn?1503186663 It should be noted that when I have helped people with psychiatric disabilities apply for supported housing if they had a history of substance abuse they did have to attend rehabilitation in order to be eligible. Social Security has specific laws that make a person ineligible if they are an active drug user and if they were they have to have been shown to attend rehabilitation for a specified period of time and not have used drugs during this time frame.
