I was wondering what the typical symptoms/ triggers would be for possible fibromyalgia. After lifting a water jug for the bubbler @ work I experienced a shooting pain in the left side of my neck. Since this event I have been experiencing constant spasm in my neck/trapezius for approx 7 months w/o any relief in symptoms. X-ray revealed nothing, and I have been through chiropractic and physical therapy with marginal relief at best ( ~ 24 hours.
Hi about a year ago a had an injury at work that caused 2 herniated disks. I did the physical therapy for a while than realized I can do most of the pt stuff at home or at the gym. I am prescribed Celebrex and skelaxin. I have a question about the skelaxin. Well my job is physically demanding I work in a hospital I do patient care I "boost" patients, transport patients, help very unsteady patients get out of bed and walk. So quite often I need to take my skelaxin.
Hi and sorry about your neck/back injury. Flexeril does work a lot better. I was on it for 9 months. It wasn't too hard to get off of. Skelaxin didn't work as well for me either but did work some as I felt it after I got of of it. For short term I would take Flexeril at night (5mg). Apparently Skelaxin doesn't work for you.Flexeril only works for 3 weeks then it is a sleeping pill really. I would go on an off as needed.
I have a decent but needy job so I need to do this around work. I have a bunch of Xanax and metaxalone (not sure if the muscle relaxers will help) but would love any additional suggestions that would help make this easier whilst holding down a full time job. Any ideas are welcome, seriously, just need some help here. Already feel like an idiot for getting this bad so don't want to go to my friends and my family are in another country.
Like most I have always had general back pain I had several surgeries a few years ago where I was in the hospital 2 weeks with gallstones that dissolved and part of the sludge entered my pancreas that ate a hole through it causing 10 litters of fluid to build up behind my lungs. They basically cut me sternum to spine that & used a rib splitter. it causes pain under my breast still. Then last year was in a car accident that caused bulging discs to hit nerves in my lumbar and cervical.
Yes clomid does work for some people depending on the quality of your husband's sperm. I had a friend that used clomid for only 2 months and got pregnant.

Most therapists are not allowed to prescribe medicines, but they do have a crude knowledge of how most medicines work. They can work with your doctor, along with good therapy... and you can start to see results.
It takes time.... It takes work.... It takes bearing your soul more times than you ever thought you'd have too, but in the end it is all worth it.
I'm sure it works for some people, and there's a thread in the archives about it. Personally, I think this supplement combines things that should be taken separately and has things in it that are the wrong form or not for the purpose of the substance, and I don't trust it because it's direct marketed. But many on the thread loved it. However, I don't think you're a candidate for it or for medication, either.
My understanding of the nerve blocks is that they are more for diagnosing the extent of the condition, not neccessarily as a pain relief tactic. CRPS should be obvious to your dr and if he/she is doing these blocks then I would say your dr is doing what he/she should. Medications are a thing you need to talk to your dr about. It is not the purpose of this forum to advise people on the best ways to obtain drugs. Some more detail of yourself may be helpful as you've not given much to go on.
