Avatar m tn Sometimes an MRI exam may show inflammation, but there are no specific signs to diagnose frozen shoulder. Apply warm compresses and take some anti inflammatory pain killers like Ibuprofen/ Diclofenac. If the symptoms persist then get it evaluated from an orthopedician. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
Avatar f tn I quit smoking 4 weeks ago and am feeling better already, but, I still have this pain to my upper back, pain appears to be from deep within. Avatar f tn s given me some extra pain killers and told me to take the following. 8x paracetamol, 3x diclofenac, 4-8 codeine a day. This should keep the pain to minimal whilst she looks over the last results. Other than that, no idea what is causing it, but as it has been 4.5 weeks, they want to get to the bottom of it.

Avatar f tn t peneterate upto muscle. Please take some pain killers like ibuprofen, diclofenac etc for 3 to 4 days and apply hot pad over injection site. If the site of injection feels warm or hot to touch, probably it is the beginning of infection,in that case see a doctor for antibiotics prescription. bye and take care!
1091563 tn?1256911779 Take some warm sitzbaths(don’t add anything to the water) and anti inflammatory pain killers like Diclofenac or Ibuprofen if there is any pain. If the symptoms persist then please consult a urologist as antibiotics may be needed. Also investigations to rule out gonococcal urethritis may be needed. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn remember pain killers should only be used intermittently and if diagnosed by arthritis you will have its own course of treatment. Take care!
Avatar f tn Pain has peaked twice in the 7 weeks, resulting in taking more pain killers. (paracetamol, codeine + diclofenac) however codeine has now been reduced and coping well. Pain moved round to the front (right side) into my groin (also shooting down my right leg). It has been a dull ache on occasions as well as sharp/stabbing pains. It is now mainly on my right side lower abdomen. Appendix has also been ruled out. CT scan also confirmed no kidney stones.
Avatar f tn Well, this morning I had a lot of pain, not in agony pain, but enough to make me very tired and desperately need to lie down by the time I was done in the shower. Took me twice as long as usual to get ready for work, and ended up with BF driving me instead of taking public transportation. I got it filled and took it around 8:30, and noticed around 11 that the pain was now just sore/achy and sooo tired, like if you'd been doing A LOT of lifting of heavy things the previous day.
Avatar n tn I have had recently a disctectomy. After the operation I was on heavy pain killers, and omaprezole. But after I stopped the tablets I developed burping. This burping is constant and not just after having food. It is even more when I am sleeping. what is the reason? Is it anything to do with taking the declophenic tabs for nearly 4 months?
Avatar n tn The pain has gone away, but at night when i sleep on my right side and then move i get this stinging/burning pain that wakes me. I also have less sensation to touch in the area. What could it be and how can i get it better?
Avatar m tn Ibuprofen is a NSAID (Non-steroid anti-inflammation drug), so it has some effect on the inflammation too, not just to relief the pain. There are other NSAIDs too but some of them have lots of side effects. Diclofenac is one that in my country is sold over the counter almost as often as Ibuprofen. Of course, for severe inflammations (with inflammations, there are no infection) steroid anti inflammation drugs can be used, such as cortisone.
Avatar n tn I have been told i may need fusion surgery on my c5-c6, and c6-c7 vertebrae. This pain is accompanied by shoulder and arm painIi am wondering if this pain is caused by my neck issues because in all the articles i have read no one has mentioned upper back pain from cervical nerve injuries?
541196 tn?1293552936 Apply some cold compresses on the site and take some over the counter non steroidal anti inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or diclofenac. In some cases however the phlebitis can become infected. This can be a very serious problem needing urgent treatment with antibiotics. So pls look out for any fever or lymph node enlargement. Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted if you have any additional queries.
20015933 tn?1488481717 t do anything so I returned home and the pain got a bit better after taking the pain killers but then around 30 minutes ago, It hit me again out of nowhere and I don't know what to do. Ice makes the pain worse, Lidocaine spray is not helping at all and neither are the pain killers. I just want to smash my face against something and cry. It feels like I'm being electrocuted from my ear to my chin on the left side of my face and It also has given me a headache.
Avatar n tn I have used no contraception for years either , I have been to the docs many times over the years about the pain of them ,however they have always been regular . Other pain I get during menstruation is thigh pain and also during different times of month aswell as menstruation I suffer from hip pain especially right side and at night time and occasional pain in right hand side . All these symptoms I have had for a long time .
988072 tn?1249348917 After the infection gets cured, your bones will need time to recover and with proper protein diet and calcium supplements you would be fine. Take intermittent pain killers and you would need Physiotherapy later to completely recover. Take care!
599170 tn?1300973893 I have had internal and external surgery in that region and my advice is to take the pain killers lol! (it does really hurt - waaaaaaaay worse than childbirth - thats for sure) If you can take paracetamol and diclofenac regularly (depending on what your docs prescribe) and only take the opiods (eg codeine/morphine) when the pain is really bad - as they can be constipating and the last thing you want to be doing with a sore bum is straining to pass a hard bowel movement.
Avatar n tn Opioids do not reduce inflammation but instead attach to mu-opioid receptors located discreetly throughout the body in the brain, spinal cord, and other tissues to relieve many types of chronic pain, surgical pain, and acute pain by blocking pain signals from being realized by the brain. Combining an NSAID with an opioid produces a synergistic effect that may provide additional pain relief than one or the other taken by itself.
681148 tn?1437661591 I know how miserable nausea can be along with pain. I too suffer from alot of pain and nausea with my Fibro and RA and I too have Gerd plus IBS.
