diclofenac lower back pain

Had 2 days off work, thinking this was a temporary injury. My doctor prescrbed Diclofenac and I went back to work the next day. I had my 1st tablet the night before, then the 2nd on mid morning break at work. I was sat in my car, guarding a farm gate for site personnel, (light duties), Wthin 10 minutes, I guess that 2nd tablet was the one that really kick-started the course of tablets....with my car door open, (hot day) I ended sort of upside down!

pain is of severe and of burning type...she feel pain in muscles all over the back...on inspiration pain increases...she cant tolerate to sleep pn foam, pain in increased by walking n in sitting position....the strange thing is that pain is not increased on deep palpation....pain is releived in lying position on hard surface or by heat sponging.....she has also some stomach problem so cant use heavy medicines...she is using voltaflam(declofenac)..

It is uncomfortable to turn my head from side to side. My lower back and shoulders have been achy, which comes and goes. New symptoms are cramps in lower legs and achy calves. I do read alot and have my head down but this has never happened before and I have been reading all my life. I do spend several hours a day on the computer but don't feel that is it. I take something for anxiety, so that is not it. I am 64 and in good health maybe a little over weight. (aren't we all). lol.

I quit smoking 4 weeks ago and am feeling better already, but, I still have this pain to my upper back, pain appears to be from deep within. I broke my back 2 years ago (L4) and since have had pain from my lower back to my knees. I can pop my right hip very loud. The pain feels like it's in my joints. Like I have arthritis. I can barely exercise because my back will go out completely. I run on a trampoline. I'm 29, not overweight (average) and the pain is unbearable at times. I have done physical therapy and my neurologist basically told me there was nothing to do. I take a lot of ibprofen morning and night..

that really contributes to joint pain in the lower extremities and i have seen people get the weight off and the pain is virtually gone....of course i have joint problems and i am not overweight so that is not always the case...mine is in my back and i find that stretching, walking, ice, yoga, heat help mine alot...i do get steroid injections every 4 months and take a steroid pack when it gets out of hand....hold on and try to keep u dose low so that u can get some pain relief post op ..

I would like to know what other pain killers are available for osteoarthritis. I have been on diclofenac for months for osteoarthritis of the knee and degenerative disk disease. I have tried to stop it several time due to concerns that I may get a GI bleed, have a stroke.... but this seems to be the only medication I have found that helps.

I've been having lower back pain for a while now. It used to be only when I laid down and then the pain would only last like 5-10 min. However these days the pain occurs longer and it even occurs when I'm sitting. I also play the saxophone. I've played it for 5 years and I have never had breathing problems...however these days I've been having trouble breathing and I've sometimes been having chest pain that stays for a while.

I suffer with degeneration of the disk disease, therefore I am used to a little discomfort from time to time, however. I have a muscle pain on my shoulder that it doesn't let me sleep. It hurts no matter how I lie to sleep. I have taken some pills that are not strong enough to take the pain away. I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.

For 7 weeks I have been experiencing pain. It first started off on my right side back - kidney area. (original diagnosis kidney stones). I was prescribed Dicofenac (3 a day) and antibiotics (for 1 week). Urine tests had found blood traces in my urine. I was booked in for an ultrasound to see if there were any stones. Ultrasound on kidneys and bladder came back OK.

You are correct. The usual interactions suggest a decrease in levels of the other drugs taken with carbamazepine. Try searching for 'carbamazepine metabolism' and 'diclofenac metabolism'. It shows that both meds are metabolized by CYP3A4. Diclofenac may decrease levels of CYPA4 (search 'diclofenac inactivation CYP3A4); this could potentially lead to increased levels of carbamazepine.

organ sonogram (liver, kidneys, pancreas, etc.) was normal. lower back MRI showed 2 herniated disks, which can explain lower back and hip pain (i have another followup appointment for this tomorrow). also had an endoscopy procedure which revealed two minor ulcers and samples were taken. whole last week was pretty much fine, aside from some abdominal discomfort, barely noticeable or no nausea, good appetite, no dizziness, but still constant intestinal movement and gases, no abdominal pain.

My 59 year old husband, Hep C+ diagnosed in 2007, F-4 Cirrhosis diagnosed in 2010, compensated liver (last blood work was in July, 2012, and he has never had ascites, varices, or hepatic encephalopathy), and failed three Hep C treatments in past 5 years (last failure was triple tx w/Incivek stopped treatment mid-April, 2012 due to viral breakthrough), not currently on treatment. Please note that I was taking Diclofenac Natrium tablets twice a day for 4 days for knee pain just before getting tested. I used to take diclofenac or aceclofenac once or twice .single tablet for my upper back pain in a year .not regularly.because I am a computer engineer.but away from work from 2 years after allergy and and all these episode of sleep disorder First I thoougt I could be asprin allergy (acetyl sallicylate )or NSAID. But 2 month back I Tried one asprin tablet because lots of pain in my deep chest like inflammed heart. First I took a small granule of it after breaking it.

Hi folks! Have any of you used Diclofenac or Voltarin Gel for relief from general pain on thighs, etc.(and other large areas ... LOL? What was your experience? Did it actually relieve any of your pain? I've used the tablet form, but it made me sick to my stomach. Is this likely to do the same? Thanks for your help.

yup inteks - the codeine and lack of physical activity from the back injury - that poor lady may wanna step down from the Tylenol 3. My tummy hurt just from reading that case history...lol.
