Avatar m tn Thank you for your response. Your response is what I was thinking already. But, one more question for you. Yes, my doctor said that my "very small" cataract (prior to surgery) has grown very fast. What time frame is protocol for a cataract surgery to be preformed after a RD? From what I have been reading, that full recovery from RD surgery is close to 6 months..... I personally would like the cataract removed by 12/30 (my deductible has been met!) .
Avatar f tn Well, I didn't actually "run" into the door frame. It was more of a walking toward the mirror and forgot the door frame was there. I'm pretty sure I hit it at a normal walking speed. I have taken some Tylenol which does seem to help a little. I honestly am starting to think that me stressing about it is making the headache much worse than it needs to be. Thanks, I appreciate your answer.
Avatar f tn I'm sorry for your loss. A m/c is very traumatic on your body. A d and c or a d and e is very envasive on your body it's more surgical than natural and the worst thing you can do is rush your recovery. Some of the reasons they tell you to wait a few cycles is because you run the risk of infection as well as it's not good to have your uterus contract at all. That is why dr's always say don't become dehydrated drink drink and rest and relax.
Avatar f tn Do you think he had a concussion/minor traumatic brain damage? Can this kind of impact be enough to cause concussion? Thanks for reading!
Avatar f tn t masturbate, but I have had, sex during concussion recovery and my symptoms always increase afterward, even if the sex is not strenuous. It is the movement of the head that cause such, so due to my head injury history and experience, any movements that affect movement of the head can have a negative affect on concussion symptoms and recovery.
Avatar f tn Has your doctor tested to see if a rise in blood pressure aggravates or causes the return of your concussion symptoms. Your recovery time generally depends upon this assessment. A recent study conducted by the University of Buffalo’s Concussion Management Clinic suggests that cardio vascular exercise performed on a equipment that does not involve a lot of impact or bouncing such as a stationary bike, elliptical or treadmill can speed the recovery process. One of the lead researchers Dr.
Avatar f tn Sometimes not too bad but sometimes it really bothers me. My head feels really heavy most of time too... Should I see a doctor or is it just a minor concussion that I shouldn't worry about.???
Avatar n tn I wouldn't think there is a time frame. There are lots of large arteries which feed up to the face/brain. As you can see from this pic there are 2 carotid arteries on each side of the neck, which meet up with other artery feeds in the circle of willis. May I ask if you are having stenting or endarterectomy? http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.yalemedicalgroup.org/stw/images/125509.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.yalemedicalgroup.org/stw/Page.

Avatar f tn When is everybody starting there detox time? I mean: do you start it at the time of last use or start the time when your last pill/use has worn off?
Avatar m tn During this time i felt well enough to start some online classes and I was also doing 3 hours of rehab a day so although I can do some of my normal activities but the time frame the doctor gave me was 12 weeks before I could go back to work, and no in person classes until the spring granted my condition was an extreme one. This is something you need to discuss with your doctor they are going to be able to give you the bet time frame of anyone I think.
Avatar m tn I am 55, received MRI after concussion. Was told it was unrelated. 2 days after the concussion, my short term memory, wasn't there, I was forgetting what I was doing if distracted by any thing. Example if someone interrupted me while taking, I forgot what I was talking about. Better after 6 months, but still having some issues. Also following the concussion, I had issues walking. I walked to left, crashed into things.
Avatar f tn Though Asperger’s by it self will not prolong concussion, the diagnosis of concussion in Asperger’s is often overlooked and some other cause or the disease itself attributed to as a cause of symptoms post injury. Hence it is important to consult a neuro-psychiatrist. Hope this helps. Take care!
Avatar f tn Ok so I have had close to the whole chart in symptoms of a concussion 7 months post impact. I was recovering at a fairly normal pace until about 3/4 weeks into recovery when pain worse than when I had the initial headache from trauma. Keep in mind at that point I was a healthy 15 year old boy that was extremely active. Well anyway the pain that had returned from nowhere was increasing gradually for about one and a half months until the pain was so intense I had to go to the ER at 1am.
Avatar m tn thanks for your replying doctor but I,had gone threw CAT and MRI scans two times first time on the day of injury and second time after ten days from my injury and my reports were normal.
Avatar m tn My concussion occurred 37 days ago when I slipped and fell backwards hitting the back of my head on a turf surface. In terms of the concussion recovery, I've been working with a concussion therapist to employ the practices of slowly getting back into activities without provoking symptoms. Unfortunately, I haven't seen much progress and may even have my symptoms come on earlier. I believe that this is related to sleep and neck issues that began about 18-20 days into the recovery.
Avatar m tn I want to give her every chance to recover before exploring the option of putting her down...but need to know a reasonable time frame to expect a recovery. Thanks!
