Did you go to the doctor? I had a severe riding accident years ago where I landed on my head. I had a concussion, pinched nerve in my neck, dislocated shoulder and, a broken arm. I'd get checked out if you haven't already.
m still having these falls several times a week. After suffering a concussion last month from one of the drop attacks, my new family physician suggested we open this door again and see what comes of it.

Loss of consciousness isn’t required for a diagnosis of concussion or post concussion syndrome. Post concussion syndrome occurs within first 7 to 10 days and until 3 months. Symptoms are variable including dizziness, fatigue, irritability, anxiety, insomnia, loss of concentration and memory, light and noise sensitivity, headache varying from a tension type to cluster headaches. You need to consult a neurologist immediately.
I have a serious concussion and I have strained my trapiuses muscle... I also have osgood schlatters in one leg and I can't run with out getting dizzy due to the concussion... I really need to work out ... I have been out for a month ... Please and thank you !
I have begged him to go back to a doctor to get his concussion checked out but he refuses. Does it sound like he needs to seek medical help for the concussion considering he never received any after-care and continued to drink on the concussion? Its been about 10 months since this happened so it is likely that he could still be suffering from the after affects of the concussion? Thank you for your time.
I suffered a concussion in sept. 2012 maybe? Then again in April of 2013. Im still suffering from memory loss, focus and concentration issues, attention problems, and a constant headache. How long should or could this last?? If relevant, I'm 38.
Hello~YES, you need to go to the doctor, you should have gone immediately the day of the hit on the head. I have read that internal brain bleeding can occur as long as 6 or 7 weeks after a hard blow on the head,and by the time you have the symptoms of it, it has progressed to the point of being dangerous and needing possible surgery.

I had a metal iron shelf fall on my head at work 4 months ago, got a concussion and ended up with post traumatic concussion syndrome. He needs to go to the doctor!!!!! He needs to have a CT or MRI to check for headbleeding then he needs to see a neurologist and let them run test!!!!! It's so important. They told me if I hit my head again I'll have permanent damage.
a few years back the same thing happened to me but i felt fine right after only a slight headache this was wen i was 12 im now 16 and have been okay although ive had migraines for awhile to and the heavy head but apart from that im fine however if it really does bother you see your doctors they can give u something to feel better.
or it can be very much worse by affecting motor skills and pupil dialation, even speech patterns. Concussion may appear like intoxication but any good doctor would be able to know the difference by just doing a blood test! You can definitely be drunk with a concussion ... again a decent physician is going to ferret out which is which! Take care ....

G'day. I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right area-don't know where else to put it. I've had a concussion for about 9 days now with "usual, mild-average" symptoms. The last couple days have been like the first couple days, cannot rest my head at night from the pain, taking two 650 mg Tylenols when I think of it, also seem more confused & forgetful (before major loss of sleep). The last 48 hrs. I've slept for 40 min's.
Thank you Doctor Mathur. More to the point, during the concussion can a person appear as if they are functioning normally and be oriented to time and place? My experience was being taken to the ER, after several blows to the temple area of my head, where I was reported to have been Ox3 upon examination and denying a loss of conscientiousness. Yet I cannot remember the time in the ER until shortly before. This is highly perplexing to me. Can that happen?
If you develop nausea, vomiting, excess sleep, severe headache, difficulty in walking and balance, tremors, seizures, vision problems, ringing in ears etc then consult a doctor immediately. These symptoms develop if there is a brain injury or bleed. Otherwise this pressure will go in a few days. However, it is important to get a medical evaluation. So please consult your doctor once. How are you feeling now? Have you seen a doctor about this? It almost sounds like you may have gotten a concussion besides injuring your shoulder. Because of the headaches, difficultly with memory, trouble concentrating, nausea, feeling "fuzzy," sleep changes, visual changes, I suggest you get checked out by a doctor, preferably a neurologist if you can...otherwise your PCP.
So, please get another neurological examination to rule out any other problem. Learning ways to memorize things and cope with concussion will help. Please ask your doctor about it. Take care!

Try to get to a doctor before going back to school. It could just be an aftermath of your concussion, but I would also recommend taking an advil when you get headaches until you can get checked out by your doc.
when I came home from work he was still sleeping. I am terrifyed that he has a concussion. What will happen if it goes untreated? He is confused, dizzy and won't go to the doctor. He also says he has some pain. should I bring him to th emergency room? help I am scared and don't know what to do.
t walking straight because I was dizzy. he said he was very sure I had a concussion and so he sent me to the ER for a ct scan. After the ct scan, the NP said although It didn't show a concussion I do have one and it showed sinusitis. Ive had sinusitis a few times before and it's never made me nauseated or that dizzy.
Had a concussion several weeks ago with instant headache & nausea which have gotten worse. Already had 2 CT scans without contrast, showing they were normal. The headaches and nausea are pretty bad daily, have gotten worse since the concussion.
I'm now scheduled for an MRI scan, should I do it with or without contrast. Have read so many negative things about getting it with the contrast.
No, my doctor just said I had a concussion, there was no tests for it. And I had a CAT scan in November because of a seizure but everything came up clear, but I haven't had a scan since my fall.
As you know, a "Grade 1" concussion is the mildest category. That being said,m there is no such thing as a "harmless concussion", and in the final analysis Lacross is a meaningless activity. Missing a season is not worth a lifetime of problems. I am somewhat concerned he did not have an MRI, and insofar as school authorities are mandated to pick-up-the-bill, this non-invasive test should have been provided.
You really do need to go to a doctor or hospital to find out just how bad the likely concussion you have is. If you do not have a concussion then there is definitely something going on. This is not something you need to wait to see a dr with. You may have a bad concussion or you could have some swelling or bleeding in your head somewhere. It can become very serious quickly so I would advise you to seek medical attention.
My daughter has hit her eye and we are worried about a concussion.
