Avatar f tn The March of Dimes recommends that women who are pregnant or trying to become pregnant consume no more than 200 milligrams (mg) of caffeine per day (equal to about one 12-ounce cup of coffee a day). A new study has found that women who consume 200 mg of caffeine or more a day are twice as likely as women who consume no caffeine to have a miscarriage (1).
461781 tn?1285609481 basically said that 2-3 caffeinated 16 0z beverages per day would be ok, as long as I increased my water intake by whatever my caffeine intake was as well! I usually had 1 coffee and 1 soda per day, or less.. You are fine!
Avatar n tn Your allowed to drink abt a cup of coffee everyday. I think it's 200 MG per day ir so but adds up to a cup. But that includes all ir caffeine intake. But since u don't drink that on a regular bases. Ur fine.
Avatar n tn Iced coffee is all I drink when I do drink coffee a few times a week and by googling the caffeine content an iced coffee actually has LESS caffeine in it then the hot coffee of the same order size! Your totally fine in having a coffee a day, or having decaf coffee which has minimal amounts of caffeine!
Avatar f tn You can have up to 300mg of caffeine a day. Which is about a cup of coffee. When I was pregnant with my son, I had more caffeine than I should have. I knew better but it was something I craved a lot... This pregnancy I'm off all caffeine except in chocolate milk which I don't drink often. It makes me sick to drink it.
Avatar f tn The goal is to have less caffeine. I think the usual recommendation is no more than a cup of coffee a day, and a lot of women don't even drink that much. I think I had 3 cups of coffee in my whole pregnancy. (But I did drink Dr. Pepper, which might be worse due to the caffeine and the high-fructose corn syrup.
5624774 tn?1374284525 So I know its ok to have a cup while pregnant and your supposed to limit caffeine intake to about 200mg per day. I really want a frappe from Mcdonalds but I have no clue how much caffeine those have. Ive looked on their website but cant find the caffeine content. Does anyone know if these are ok? I would get the small one of course.
8732981 tn?1400768789 March of Dimes recommends 150-300 mg of caffeine per day, which does allow for a cup of coffee. Just be aware that some food, like chocolate, contains caffeine too.
Avatar n tn My doctor said one small cup a day or under 200 mg of caffeine per day is fine. However the more I read the worse i feel, like I shouldn't be doing it. I eat relatively healthy, don't drink don't smoke. Has anyone drank coffee throughout their pregnancies? Did it have any effects on your baby?
Avatar f tn Do any of you have your cup of coffee in the morning still? I'm 4w3d and I just want one cup in the morning. Is it horrible for me?
Avatar f tn A cup a day is just fine.
Avatar f tn They say to limit caffeine, I never really did. I never really drank a whole lot before though. Biut I drank a mountain dew or so.
Avatar f tn You can have I believe it's something like 200mg of caffeine per day when pregnant.
Avatar f tn I know your not suppose to drink coffee because of the caffeine but what about if its decaf
Avatar f tn So I know your supposed limit your caffeine intake while pregnant but I am a big coffee drinker. Today I went to this coffee shop and get a 16 oz of decaf coffee. How much decaf is safe to drink? Is decaf better for you than regular?
Avatar f tn Oh no, I guess I better stay away then, I can do. Without.
Avatar f tn So I just found out I'm pregnant. 4 weeks. Am I able to still have one cup of coffee in the morning?!
Avatar f tn So I just Google whatever I want to drink to check the caffeine content. I have soda and coffee here and there but teas help as well.
Avatar f tn I drink one cup of coffee per day and have since 15 weeks! Can't do it without my morning cup with a crazy toddler, husband, and full time job to tend to! My doc says no more than 24 oz per day is just fine!
Avatar f tn Yes coffee has a lot more caffeine than soda. I just don't like soda because of the sugar..
Avatar n tn My doctor's office of 5 conservative doctors has a policy of two caffeinated beverages a day. So, I'm guessing a cup of coffee is okay. I cut it out for my first too. I was trying to conceive for a really long time and was doing anything I could to get and stay pregnant. So, did it that time but then started on caffeine again (me? Dr. Pepper was the culprit) and did drink one a day in my second pregnancy. So, I think you are okay with your one cup of coffee and hey, life's hard.
Avatar f tn Sodas tell you in the bottle how much caffeine they have per cup. Its usually between 35 and 50mg per 8oz. Caffeine can lead to several problems because babies system is still too immature to process it effectively and therefore stays in baby about 10 times longer than it stays in you.
