coffee

Avatar n tn Iced coffee is all I drink when I do drink coffee a few times a week and by googling the caffeine content an iced coffee actually has LESS caffeine in it then the hot coffee of the same order size! Your totally fine in having a coffee a day, or having decaf coffee which has minimal amounts of caffeine!
Avatar f tn com/content/337/bmj.a2332) which suggests that even 100mg a day can affect the baby, as caffeine is a stimulant which crosses the placenta, and the baby can't clear it from its system the way we can. It seems complicated tho! So hard to know all the things we should or shouldn't be doing...
Avatar f tn So I know your supposed limit your caffeine intake while pregnant but I am a big coffee drinker. Today I went to this coffee shop and get a 16 oz of decaf coffee. How much decaf is safe to drink? Is decaf better for you than regular?
Avatar f tn So I just Google whatever I want to drink to check the caffeine content. I have soda and coffee here and there but teas help as well.
Avatar f tn I know your not suppose to drink coffee because of the caffeine but what about if its decaf

1492421 tn?1290300515 Honestly though to be safe during the first trimester at least, try to keep it to one caffeinated beverage a day as you want it Caffeine Content All figures are approximate, especially with coffee. Different varietals can have different caffeine content, and the way the coffee is roasted can also change the values.
5624774 tn?1374284525 I really want a frappe from Mcdonalds but I have no clue how much caffeine those have. Ive looked on their website but cant find the caffeine content. Does anyone know if these are ok? I would get the small one of course.
Avatar f tn I've heard that too. It also dehydrates you which isn't good either. I think it's recommend that you keep it below 200mg of caffeine a day (12 oz cup of coffee). I've also read that high doses of it can increase the chance of miscarriage. There is alot of good info online you could read also. Good luck and SSBD to you!!!
Avatar f tn As my gynaicologist said, you are not allowed to take those quantities of coffee)tea and have a sodathat contains caffeine as well. Have in mind that dark soda (cola, pepsi) normally isnt allowed coz it has ingredients that might harm your baby. Anyhow, if its not very important for you to take those drinks, is better if you forget them for a while.
Avatar f tn You can safely have 200-300 mg of caffeine a day. Most pop's now list in the can or bottle their caffeine content so just keep track of how much you're having and you'll be fine. I wouldn't be able to function in the morning with my Dr Pepper boost lol.
363028 tn?1222230968 Okay ... so here is a question. I love to have Tim Hortons English Toffee (for those of you in the states it's like a cappuccino). I am now almost in my 4th month ... but I'm worried about the caffeine content ... I can't find any information on how much caffeine is in the drink. I maybe have 1 a day ... what do you guys think?
Avatar f tn Coffee and hot chocolate are both fine.
8732981 tn?1400768789 Go to Starbucks' website. You can check the caffeine content on all you're favorite drinks. March of Dimes recommends 150-300 mg of caffeine per day, which does allow for a cup of coffee. Just be aware that some food, like chocolate, contains caffeine too.
Avatar f tn They say to limit caffeine, I never really did. I never really drank a whole lot before though. Biut I drank a mountain dew or so.
Avatar f tn You can have up to 300mg of caffeine a day. Which is about a cup of coffee. When I was pregnant with my son, I had more caffeine than I should have. I knew better but it was something I craved a lot... This pregnancy I'm off all caffeine except in chocolate milk which I don't drink often. It makes me sick to drink it.
