cipro

Avatar n tn I have mild prolapsed uterus, and rectum and maybe bladder that are probably causing my bladder infections? I just found out that I have prolapsed uterus, and rectum. I'm seeing a urologist who is going to do some tests to see if I have a prolapsed bladder. Because I'm 37 and fit the doctors didn't take me seriously after I had my fifth child. My babies were all 8lbs with big heads and my last one came out face up!
Avatar f tn I have had chronic bladder infections for years and have seen several different Urologists some in single practice, some in large practices with multiple doctors and even at large medical centers like the Cleveland Clinic and U of M Medical Center. I have brought in multiple urine samples which were tested then sent away for testing. They always come back showing bacteria. I've taken enough antibiotics to become allergic to Sulfa, Bactrum,Cipro and Tetracycline.
587946 tn?1240925653 Since the surgery I have had 4 more infections, one of which my gynecologist did a culture for and it was positive. I took and antibiotic and felt better, but I constantly have a slight burning. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. Could that be the issue? I have an appointment to see another urologist in May. I just dont know whats going on.
Avatar n tn I consulted with 2 urologist and several cystoscopies, it was noticed that I had some tissue at the bladder neck. In 1995 I underwent a TURP and resction of the bladder neck. The surgery only gave relief for a short period. In 1996, a urodynamics study was done and it it was then determined that I had a neurogenic bladder. I than was told to use intermittant catherization in order to empty the bladder as I was unable to completely empty my bladder the normal way.
Avatar m tn Resently Doctor decided to take Urine test and found bladder infection and gave me CIPRO as an antibiotic. I feel rush under my ribs and pain in the back (right side). Do you think that this infection can cause that? I am still taking this CIPRO things and hope that this'll help. Do you know if lymph nodes can case pain or infection could go up from bladder and affect other areas? Please help!
Avatar f tn I also have Sjogrens Syndrome and a history of painful bladder and infections and the IC diet has slightly reduced the pain. So could I have both IC and the confirmed FC? It looks like I will be continuing to be treated by my Urogynecologist from a letter i have just received. Thank you for your help.
Avatar n tn I have had frequent uti was seen by urologist and he did (outpatient) bladder biopsy as he found a small tumor upon examination. I had another uti and was given cipro before surgery and when the culture cameback 4-8he called and ordered a round of antibitios, nitrofurantoin MCR 50 mg C, 4 per day for 5 days and then one at bedtime for 30 days. Today at his office 4-9-10 he said diag was chronic follicular cystitis. and sections reveal urinarybladder mucosa.
Avatar f tn s but will help in the bladder and if it is bladder infections leading to kidney infections it may help. The juice isn't that great. It is high in sugar, and not nearly as strong as the pills. Cranberry makes the bladder slippery so the infections can't stick to the walls of the bladder. Another tasty option is real dried unsweetened (or sweetened with applejuice cranberries. They are found at health food stores and cost a fortune but they are so gooooood. Craisins are just candy.
1840891 tn?1431547793 Among young women, UTI symptoms typically include a frequent and intense urge to urinate and a painful, burning feeling in the bladder or urethra during urination. The amount of urine may be very small. Older women and men are more likely to be tired, shaky, and weak and have muscle aches and abdominal pain. Urine may look cloudy, dark, or bloody or have a foul smell. In a person with a catheter, the only symptom may be fever that cannot be attributed to any other cause.
886230 tn?1242081720 I also have some Urelle, which I have used in the past to calm down bladder spams. She told me to take the Urelle too and to come in and see her tomorrow. She told me that getting these types of infections post-op is very common. I really hope this is al it is and not any other complication... Anyone else get one of these post-op?
Avatar f tn During my final stages of triple tx I got one bladder infection that (probably due to my low WBC) moved almost instantaneously into my kidneys, and that required the 500mg dose of cipro. Another thing about frequent bladder infections - if you are getting more than three per year you might consider a prophylactic tx of taking macrobid either daily or immediately after having sex if there seems to be any relationship (many people tend to get them most frequently after sexual intercourse).
429700 tn?1308007823 The scan is straightforward, you go to the nurse, ensuring they have the scan equipement, empty your bladder, and immediately after the nurse smears some electro conductive gel on your bladder area on the skin and holds a hand held device over it. It will show if there is any residual urine and how much.
493068 tn?1224765315 I have chronic bladder infections and on long term Macrobid and still get frequent UTIs. I have had 3+ bacteria for the last 2 months despite Cipro and Levaquin. This morning the UTI is back with burning, frequency. They did not do a C&S before Cipro I think because it is always e-coli. What could be wrong with these 2 meds not working?....I am so tired of this pain and burning. I also have had lower back pain and groin pain for the last 2 mos.
Avatar f tn And it seemed like I was leaking urine. Cipro cleared it up. So did cephalexin. And the burning was not bad and it was also not with urination. Turns out I have a 10-cm ovarian cyst that has probably been pulling things out of alignment in my pelvis. My CA-125 came back at 137 but the ultrasound of the cyst shows just a simple cyst. Large, but simple.
Avatar m tn I'm 32 years old, and a year and a half ago I had my first bout of prostatitis. It was painful, but after a day of antibiotics I was back on my feet. After that I would have a bout every month or so but knew I could rely on the antibiotics to knock it out. I was positive for e.coli after a prostatic massage, and I had a rectal ultrasound, which turned up no abnormalities.
Avatar n tn I have had numerous UTI, kidney infections which are treate with the antibiotic Cipro. As the Cipro kills of the good bacteria, yeast thrives. I found that eating yoghurt does not seem to be sufficient for me. I also take Acidophilus suppliments. You can get this at most drug stores. Stay away from sugars and white flour. Most of the grains are turned into sugars as the body processes it. You will need to do this for several months before you will notice a difference.
Avatar f tn I am allergic to PCN and Cipro and have been given Nitrofurantoin for 7 days. I am very afraid to take it. Does anyone have any experiences with it or can recommend other meds to take? Thank you for any suggestions!
Avatar f tn Hi, I can tell you that I had baterial vaginosis last year and only took cipro not the gel and everything was fine.. I've also took cipro for a uti..
Avatar n tn I have taken Cipro for Urniary Tract Infections on and off for about 7 years. Last year the frequency of infections was about every 2 months. This winter I have had less than a month between symptoms. My doctor gave me a prescription for Macrobid in case I need it. I have taken it for the first time the past three days and the infection is still quite apparent especially during the night when I can feel the internal discomfort.
Avatar n tn about 3 weeks ago had a slight irritation at the tip of my penis urethra a few days later it seemed to cause bladder problem pressure and irritable got blood test and urine test and everything came back normal bladder seemed to get better but still irritated and swollen urethra so went back to docks got some cream but when i got home my same bladder problem came back constant feeling to have to urinate go at least every hour worse at night and pressure and discomfort plus after i go it seems to
Avatar m tn After 2 weeks it seemed to have went away however I went to the doctor again last week and it seems I have another bladder infection. Again he prescribed cipro as medicine for this. I was tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia both came back negative. I am experiencing groin pain and lower abdominal pain as well. I am freaking out that it could be HIV...is it possible or am I just driving lyself crazy?
1442701 tn?1286383987 I thought that maybe I had pulled a muscle in my back even though I didn't even throw the ball that many to times since my lower left side of my back had been hurting. Felt like labor pains Monday night it hurt so bad. On Cipro now. I just wondered if anyone else has unexpected kidney infections too.
977297 tn?1248231668 left untreated bladder infections can be a real problem,,,they also have a special kind of pain pill just speciffically for bladder infections you will only need it for three days because by then the anitbiotics ( Cipro ) is a good one for bladder or urinary tract, your dr or a clinc dr will know that.
Avatar f tn The infection was still there so they gave me five days of Cipro and changed the stomach acid med. The bloodwork and xrays came back normal and they referred me for an ultrasound which who knows how long that will be! (I live in Canada) Now I'm finished the Cipro and still have all the same problems. So my question is: Is it OK to keep taking antibiotics if there not working? Should 2 courses of antibiotics fix an infection?
565147 tn?1218252591 i have never had problems with my kidneys until the last yr I have had severe kidney infections back to back and they put me on levaquin and Cipro one round and the other different meds then it finally went away..My Achilles tendon got a big lump on it and now it hurts all the time.. Recently I found out about the meds I took and the affiliation between the meds and tendon rupture...
Avatar m tn Levaquin is used to treat bacterial infections of the skin, sinuses, kidneys, bladder, or prostate. Levaquin is also used to treat bacterial infections that cause bronchitis or pneumonia. Hope this is helpful. Sorry I'm tardy with my response.
1833444 tn?1325557062 I had bladder infections and UTIs for about 7 months in 2010. My GP kept treating the infections with antibiotics but didn't look for the cause. Finally after 7 months, he referred me to urology, they did some testing, sent me for an a CT scan and found an extremely large ovarian cyst (over 9") compressing my bladder and other organs. Needless to say, I could have taken antibiotics for the rest of my life and they wouldn't have taken care of the infections. Hang in there.
