( Feeling very upset tonight, Had a great day ( of day 4 of my final week of tapering: Case Notes: I was on Codeine at 30mg/s 14-16 times a day for 7 years. Eventually A Dr stepped in and now for the past 3 weeks I have been Tapering down, First week 12, Second Week 9, Third Week 6, and now 4 days into 3 a day ) The sleep is a big big issue atm and its driving me nuts, How I long to just lay down and sleep :( Yesterday all I could do was weep from the frustration.
Mine starts with kind of a burning in my stomach and then it even goes into my neck and jaw and chest and the pain is horrible. I always have a bottle of water with me anywhere I am, even church. It's the only way to relieve it. I had a bad one last night. I live in fear that one of these days the water won't work. I can't find anyone who knows what it is but I am glad I'm not alone in this.
If you’re susceptible to sleep-breathing problems at all (most modern humans are to some degree), any degree of inflammation in the throat will cause further swelling, starting up a vicious cycle that brings up more stomach juices into the throat, which causes more obstructed breathing and stomach juice reflux. It’s important to realize that whatever comes up from your stomach includes not only acid, but also bile, digestive enzymes, and bacteria.
Sometimes seeing family that travels long distances is more important than stomach upset or colds.
There is no sign of fever, cold or chill.I don't have constipation, diarrhea, or any other stomach upset or pain.I have no headache or dizziness. I am suffering from chronic sinusitis from two years. There is no swelling or change of colour on the location of pain. The pain don't exacerbate when I palpate the location of pain.At the time of onset I wasn't doing any exercise or any sternous physical activity. I was just standing when it started suddenly.
(the feeling is constant, with the symptoms described below happening on and off) I have a vibration in my chest area, no pain, sometimes my arms shake a bit, and sometimes it makes me gag, it feels like my heart is beating really fast, but i check my pulse and it's fairly normal.
Thanks for you reply. I havn't had a fever since the first few days. The coughing is still going on. Sometimes I have to bend over just so my chest and head don't feel like they are going to blow off.(not fun) I called my Doctor yesterday and finally got a return call today from his nurse. He told her that it hasn't been long enough yet and I need to give it some time, but if not better by next week then call back.
I have a constant bruse feeling in my upper chest. Then aout once a week a get a sharp pain in my upper chest and I run to get something cold to drink and that gets rid of the pain. I also get a sharp pain in my back when I sneeze. I've had EKG, EDG, and a chest Xray that showed nothing. I do have a hiatal hernia but take omeprozole and do not have any heartburn at all. I'm worried I have a heart blockage. Should I be worried about this?
I've been having those symptoms, and my doctor has told me it was an ulcer. It can cause your stomach to burn.Does your stomach burn after you eat?Or is the burning relieved by eating?Do you feel nauseated at times? You should go to the doctor(preferably a gastroenterologist)and have them check you out.
It converted on its own (heart returned to normal sinus rhythm) before I could be given medication (the episode lasted about 2 hours), so they sent me home. A few days later my chest would vibrate any time I laid on my stomach, or on my left side. I can stop most of the vibration by lying on my back, or getting out of bed. I had another echo and cardiolite stress test and it looks like my heart is fine. At this time, I wake up a couple times a night with my chest vibrating.
a) What have you heard/read about using zinc supplements to enhance the immune system against common colds (and shorten the duration of the cold and/or improve it) I read this could be bad for those of us with MS and limboland because an empowered immune system can also increase the relapse risk. Is this true? b) This takes me to a second question: How critical is it to go to the doctor (the GP), after even the slightest cold?
If i cannot open the window, i feel that something is strangling my throat and my chest hurts like when I am cold. Two hours after leaving the office everything gets back to normal. No doctor has found a treatment for this problem. The only solution for me is to breath through a mask or a scarf (something that filters the air). The saddest part is that colleagues cannot understand my problem because they are not affected.
I only get PVC's after I eat or have an upset stomach. When I told my cardiologist about this, he told me about a guy that told him he got PVC's every time he drank a cold glass of water. The Doc left the room and went and got a glass of cold water, returned and said "drink this". The guy gulped it down and sure enough, had several PVC's as the Dr. listened. So it happens. If they are indeed PVC's, they are usually harmless.
I found this site because I was searching links between periods and colds. Same as all of you! I get it a week before my period, even with fevers, feel horrible. Then when my period starts, I'm great. How can there be this many women and no doctors with answers????
I've been having trouble with circulation in my legs, noted by cold in calf and feet, pale skin, and cramping/aches in calves and feet. Questions: 1. What could the pounding in my upper thighs be during these episodes? It's quite powerful. 2. Could a vascular problem in my legs cause chest pain and/or these types of episodes? Thank you!
I had an hysterectomy two weeks age, a few days after my operation i started to experience tightening of the left side of my chest and back periodically, its not painful it's more like pins and needles. I am concerned about this so i will be making an appointment to see my GP.
I know they say Tylenol is safe during pregnancy but i have a really sensitive stomach and acetaminophen always upsets my stomach really bad. I have really bad chest congestion and coughing. If anyone had any suggestions for either of us i'd be so grateful!

I am very athletic guy , well you can say physically very active.
annoying arrythmias that seem to always accompany indigestion, heartburn and the reflux of acid in my stomach. In fact, on many occassions I have given my chest a little pat thinking I just need to burp. I too, try to keep Pepsid on hand at all times. When my cardiology originally gave me a work up years ago, he too, said the vagus nerve was the culprit. Since some of these gastrointestinal nerves lay so closely to the vagus - I am convinced their is a connection.
My cousin said she mysteriously had this for 6 months and then took Metamucil for 3 weeks and it finally went away. I still have strange upset stomach symptoms I can't explain (buzzing, throbbing) and have been to a new gastro doctor who will do an endocsopy just to allay my fears of 'worms' or anything like that. Mine started like a mild stomach bug. The nurse at the doctor's office told me these things are 'hard to get rid of' which wasn't encouraging.
Any info or comments would be great as its really starting to make me miserable having an upset stomach constantly despite being on medication.
i have a rumbling on the right side of my lower chest - right at the bottom of my chest basically where my chest meets my stomach. i cannot tell if it is the muscle or something internal. it does not hurt ever it it just pretty annoying. i also get minor twitches on other muscles in my body so im assuming its related and hoping its no big deal. i am 27 do not smoke but i do drink some.
I have also found that keeping my stomach under control helps. It seems that either my stomach is upset by the PVCs or my upset stomach is contributing to my PVCs - I can't determine which. Drinking lots of water helps. Drinking water with apple vinegar helps too. Just my info to share. I, like the rest of you, wish I could go get "fixed". At times it truly rules my life and its a struggle.
00PM (EST) I'll be on a webchat answering questions about colds and flu: http://www.medhelp.org/health_chats/register/2 Can you tell the difference between the common cold and the flu? How about bacterial infections such as bronchitis or pneumonia? According to the CDC, flu activity is just starting to pick up in the U.S. and could continue into April or May.
Usually, I don't hear my heart beat. Sometimes I can feel it. When I'm worried or upset, my chest starts to really tighten and hurt. I'm on lexapro and take xanax when needed. The xanax definatly helps with the chest pains.
I quit cold turkey last August with next to no withdrawl symptoms (lucky I guess). I was continuing to have gastric issues and was tired of experiencing an upset stomach. About a week ago I awoke at around 11pm with some mild chest pain. Not crushing or tight, more like sharp cramping. I got worried that I was experiencing some symptoms of panic attack so I went to my cabinet and grabbed at 75mg Effexor tablet and took it.
After the blockage was discovered thanks to a persistent PCP, and the stent inserted, I had chest pain afterwards. Was re-catheterized, all the major arteries were given a clean bill of health, but was placed on a beta blocker. Terrible reaction to the first one, put on a second one, and finally my cardiologist took me off that one as well. Although I see some improvement, I still have chest "aches" on exertion.
We know that heat, cold, emotional upset, heavy meals, working above his head, strenuous walking will all bring on spells. After every procedure he feels worse. We're in a cycle his chest pain is worse so his blood sugar goes up which causes additional stress plus he has plantar fischa fibromatosis on both feet that need surgery which is causing further back pain. He can't have surgery on feet because of chest pain and high blood sugar.
stomach, esophagus, para esophageal hernia caused by, (stomach being shoved up into the chest due to be over weight, wearing belts or wastebands to tight, coughing to hard or to much, seizures), vegus nerve, gastro-paresis( suggish or paralized stomach)(very common ailment causes by diabetes, meds, surgery, aging). etc. The best thing to do is to do a complete blood workup, endoscopy/colonoscopy, and get your heart checked. These are for starters. Then go from there.
