hi i have arthritis and i have had 4 joints totally replaced and i am only 35 with no kids. i am having so severe side effects from my med mainy celebrex i have had an heart test and was seen as early polarization , diagnosed with chronic gastrointestinal reflux and have skin rash and legions . i am thinking of a claim against them . but in the main time i dont want my doctors to feel bad as they have been with me since my early twenties.
Which I do know is a sulphamide and I am allergic to sulpha drugs, but in turn, the side effects to Celebrex also mentioned if a rash develops it could be related to liver disease...I was only on the Celebrex for 2 days, so I am still in the dark about the rash.
Often at times, I am waking up in the night because of the pain.
Has anyone used Celebrex for their Crohn's? I have severe joint point pain and I have been told that Celebrex is a huge help for this. I am wondering about side effects and medicine interactions.
She is 64 but she also has osteoporosis and arthritis in her lower back. The back doctor just prescribed Celebrex, is this the safest drug for her? Also what should people with Hep C do to better care for their liver eventhough so far she seems to have a healthy liver. For the osteoporosis she is on Fosamax. She has been on it for several years. I am just afraid that too many potent drugs can be harmful for her liver.
I have been prescibed Celebrex for osteoarthris pain. Can it be taken every day for long term management of arthritis.
( and gave me a prescription of Omeprazole with Celebrex. Unfortunately I suffered very bad side effects such as hallucinations (Omeprazole) and rash with both. So am still in a lot of pain and not sure what to do?

i have tmj in plain terms my jaw joint is worn out and hurts it goes down my neck and shoulder and the doctor says it can affect your whole body. when the weather changes i can tell my jaw starts aching. i am on celebrex it helps some. but check with your doctor.
Does anyone take celebrex?I started Prozak last week and they want me to take celebrex too. They say my liver can take it, (stage 2 fibrosis). But I am afraid of the NSAIDs in celebrex, any one else taking it? Oh, I am on Methadone too. I am having my first liver biopsy in the morning, so I will find out more about my liver. No, it would be unheard of for Celebrex to damage your heart valve. Celebrex and similar drugs do cause high blood pressure in many individuals, though.
You might have gone forever and not known about the heart valve if you had not gotten high blood pressure from the Celebrex. Follow whatever advice the cardiologist gave you, and don't worry.
I never had high blood sugar but recently after a 10 day course of celebrex for an inflamed shoulder muscle my fasting blood sugar shot up to 137. I read that celebrex has this side effect. Is it reversible?
Trying a new drug for pain... Celebrex. I was on Diamox but could not tolerate it as it caused severe kidney PAIN. So, my PCP wants me to try Celebrex (3 days on, 3 days off). Anyone have any experience/knowledge of this med and, if so, how did you fare with it?

Natural remedies are definitely worth a try and might make you feel better, but there is nothing known that will cure the underlying disease and prevent joint damage. Most patients I know use prescription meds along with natural treatments like heat, ice, massage, reiki, acupunture, homeopathy, diet changes, exercise, and more. I do believe Reiki has helped me take fewer meds but I still have the disease. With proper, aggressive treatment you may be one of the lucky ones that achieves remission.

I developed Achilles tendonitis in my left leg, which after all kinds of physio therapy and stretches has still not been resolved 2 years later. I am now developing the same issue in my right leg, and also tennis elbow in my left elbow.
Regular doc says I need to take celebrex for arthritis pain. I know it is a NSAID so I am scared of it. He thinks it is not a problem with hep c, but he is not a Hep C doc. What is the scoop on it? Any one taking it with Hep C?

I cant read a letter that I was looking at, but I can see the letters in both sides of the letter I was looking. I was hospitalized last year, and no one figured out after a million tests what my problem was, and the symptoms are back.
I have really bad pains in both of my hands and sometimes other joints. When I am not paying attention my hands fold up weird. I have nausea, fatigue, and diarrhea as well. Ten years ago, when I was 19, I saw an orthapediic surgeon for back problems, and he told me that I had the "bone structure of a 60 year old women".
I had lumbar spine fusion six weeks ago and am in PT. Still some pain so am taking 3 Ultracet tabs per 24 hours with pretty good pain relief except following 30 minutes on the treadmill and various muscle building exercises and stretches. To calm down those muscles following exercises and stretches I would like to take one 200mg Celebrex daily but one drug interaction cite suggests "Moderate" drug-drug issue involving CYP450 2D6, which means nothing to me.
Apart from the intermittent leg/bone pain I still suffer from in the long bones (which leaves the muscles tired and painful and as if they are contracting), I had excrutiating finger pains for the first part of this year. I have been on celebrex and had cortizone injections, but still continue to suffer, especially with the bone pain. I again had a stomach attack 3 weeks ago (relived the symptoms of 2006), however, I notice an increase in bone pain.
I have been taking Celebrex (200 mg a day) for about five years for bone on bone knee osteoarthritis. It has worked well for controlling my pain (not perfect but pretty good). I also get some lower back pain (combination of osteoarthritis and nerve stuff) that only happens when I over-do (like trying to garden, etc.). I typically need a day or two of Vicodin for that as the Celebrex does not seem to work for that.
